A MAN has been arrested after a town centre building collapsed when a car rammed into it while fleeing the cops.

The terrifying collapse came after a police pursuit which was sparked when cops attended a house in Bury earlier that morning.
A man in his 30s fled the home with officers following in a high speed chase.
Greater ManchesterPolice said a man has since been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving and threats to kill.
He was raced to hospital to receive urgent medical treatment after the pursuit came to an abrupt end.
The chase was finally ended when a vehicle ploughed into the takeaway, bringing part of the building down in a shower of rubble.
Pictures from the scene on Bridge Street show the front of the building completely caved in as a result of the impact of the car.
The interior of the building is entirely exposed with the front wall brought down by the force of the collision.
The road remained cordoned off yesterday afternoon as workers tried to clear the scene.
A silver car was spotted by witnesses who said it was crushed under a pile of bricks and rubble.
The public has been kept away from the building amid fears that it has been made unstable by the crash.

A Greater ManchesterPolice spokesperson said: “At around 3.50am this morning, we responded to reports of an ongoing disturbance at an address on Walmersley Road in Bury.
“Upon police arrival a vehicle made off resulting in a pursuit utilising specialist tactics.
“The suspect vehicle travelled towards Heywood where it collided with a building on Bridge Street in Heywood, Rochdale.
“The driver of the vehicle – a man in his 30s – was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving and threats to kill, before being taken to hospital for an injury to his arm.
“Investigations are ongoing. Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist their investigation.”

Eddie Burton, 23, from Liverpool was jailed for 19 years at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, September 26.
His glam ex-girlfriend, Sian Banks, 25, was sentenced to five years in February of this year.
Burton had been living in mainland Europe in 2022 when two lorries were intercepted at Dover Port containing heroin, cocaine and ketamine.
The first of those lorries was stopped by Border Force on July 3 and the second was intercepted the following month on August 12.
Overall, officers discovered a whopping 307 kilos with an estimated street value of £20million.
Burton’s fingerprints were found on both the drug packages as well as the modified fuel tank that was used to conceal them.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) launched a huge manhunt for Burton who was living between the Netherlands and Spain after he left the UK in 2021.
Burton was put in cuffs by Spanish police in August 2023 at the Pacha nightclub in Ibiza for unrelated drug dealing offences.
He had been using an alias to avoid being caught at the time but was extradited to Germany and charged with drug offences before he was returned to the UK in March last year.
Following that, Burton pleaded guilty to four counts of importing Class A and B drugs.

According to the MailOnline, Burton was involved in drugs from an early age and started dealing them at 10 years old.
Those who knew him said he was engaging in serious criminal activity while he was still at primary school and weren’t surprised by his life’s trajectory.
Whereas Banks had a love of luxury holidays and high-end goods with a fondness for men with money, according to those who knew her.
She was arrested in December 2023 before she pleaded guilty to seven charges including importing Class A drugs and money laundering earlier this year.
She had visited Burton in the Netherlands and Spain on a monthly basis between June 2022 and October 2023.
Her phone had also revealed that she had twice smuggled cocaine and ketamine into her luggage after visiting Burton in Amsterdam in August 2022.
Messages were also uncovered between the pair two days after the first lorry was intercepted.
They showed that Banks had flown to the Netherlands and helped prepare the first shipment of narcotics.
One of the messages to Burton revealed Banks was concerned her fingerprints were on the bags of ketamine.
He replied: “You’ve never been nicked or had ye prints took anyway so doesn’t matter.”
It was also discovered that banks had sold scam Covid-19 travel documents during the pandemic.
NCA Senior Investigating Officer John Turner said: “Burton, with Banks’ help, attempted to smuggle huge quantities of harmful drugs into the UK, believing he could operate with impunity overseas.
“Banks held a crucial role in the criminal enterprise, laundering the illicit profits and acting as the UK-based facilitator for the multi-million pound drug importations.
“The drugs, had they reached their final destination, would have had a destructive impact on our communities, fuelling violence and exploiting vulnerable people throughout the supply chain.”

Three of the group have now been jailed after they followed the man to a petrol station in Wrotham, Kent, before puncturing one of his tyres in January 2024.
The victim had been working in Brighton selling jewellery to several businesses and was carrying precious items worth around £2.25 million.
The CCTV footage shows the moment the thieves start following the salesman.
He was tracked by Edgar Ardila-Ruiz, Monica Diaz and Edward Florez-Ortiz and closely tailed his vehicle back to Kent.
When the man stopped at a petrol station in Wrotham, Florez-Ortiz punctured one of his tyres.
The man drove away but was forced to turn back and headed to an air pressure machine after noticing his tyre was flat.
While at the machine, the footage shows Monica Diaz distract the salesman by attempting to engage him in conversation.
Meanwhile, Ardila-Ruiz can be seen at the rear of the car snatching a bag of jewellery from the boot.
The CCTV footage recovered from the garage showed the suspects fleeing in a silver Toyota Corolla.
All three thieves were part of a gang responsible for other offences across the country including areas in London and parts of Essex and Hertfordshire.

Ruiz and Diaz were later arrested on February 11 after attempting to steal from another travelling salesman near Bolton, Lancashire.
The victim had alerted police after he noticed a black BMW was following him.
Local officers ran checks showing Ruiz was wanted for the theft in Wrotham while Diaz was also recognised from the petrol station CCTV.
They both pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court after they were charged with conspiracy to steal, and theft from a motor vehicle.

Ruiz and Diaz, both of no fixed address, were sentenced to three years and six months in prison.
Florez-Ortiz, from Islington, London, was identified as a third suspect and separately convicted at Chelmsford Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to theft and criminal damage.
He was jailed for six years and will undergo future extradition proceedings after he was sentenced to three years for another jewellery theft in Belgium in 2021.
All three will also now be the subject of a financial investigation under the Proceeds of Crime Act to claw back any criminal gains they may have made.
Detective Constable Leo Graham said: “Our investigation uncovered a wealth of evidence showing how all three offenders initially followed the victim on foot, before tailing his car.
“They waited patiently for the perfect opportunity to prey upon him and a later examination of his car led to the recovery of a metal item which had been inserted into the tyre by Florez-Ortiz.
“Ardila-Ruiz and Diaz were thankfully caught just weeks later, after following another salesman hundreds of miles away from Kent.
“These sentences are welcome, as it is clear they were part of a bigger network of organised criminality targeting victims throughout the country.”

Gordon was convicted of manslaughter at the Old Bailey on Thursday, becoming the fourth person to be found guilty for Camron’s death.
The brutal mob, who were “effectively hunting as a pack”, stormed the lad’s house on 1 July 2021, the court heard.
They kicked down a door, forced their way in, and chased Camron upstairs where he tried to barricade himself and his mum inside a bedroom.
In a desperate bid to protect her son, Audrey Johnson, reportedly tried to grab the attacker’s black serrated zombie knife.
Jurors also heard that Johnson stood in front of Camron with her arms outstretched in an attempt to save him.
But it wasn’t long before the thugs surrounded the 16-year-old and fatally stabbed him.
He was dressed in his underwear at the time.
Gordon, who was 17 at the time, was later spotted on CCTV fleeing in a taxi the group had stolen before their merciless attack.
He then dumped the knife in a nearby road.
Cops said the group had earlier held a knife to cabbie’s throat and made off with his car.

The masked thugs were later caught on CCTV, armed with knives, looking for people they believed were linked to the stabbing of one of their mates.
They stormed three homes in Croydon before making their way to Camron’s door on Bracken Avenue, cops said.
Gordon fled The Gambia before he could be arrested, the court heard.
Cops quickly issued an international arrest warrant and Gordon was returned to the UK.
He remained in custody before his trial.
‘SHOCKING’
More teens have been killed in the capital in the first six months of this year than in the whole of 2020.
A neighbour at the time said: “It must have happened so quickly.
“I didn’t hear anything last night. It’s absolutely shocking that a child like that could be killed on a doorstep.”
Neighbour Samantha Gail added: “It’s usually a quiet area. It’s so sad. This is such a friendly area where everyone is polite to each other and there is a real community feel.”
Pictures showed a huge cordon in place on the estate as police investigated the killing.
One local told MyLondon: “It’s continuous, people outside the house with knives, smoking weed, smashing bottles and now its led to a murder… it’s getting worse.
“Police were doing door to door enquires at half past 2 this morning. I didn’t see the commotion, all I heard was a helicopter going round and round and when I woke up, I saw loads of blue lights.
“I think London is getting worse in general.”
A Met Spokesperson said: “Camron was just 16 when his life was brutally ended in a frenzy of violence in his own home.
“Romario Gordon is the fourth person convicted over Camron’s killing. The path to justice in this case has been long, and our thoughts are with Camron’s family and friends, who have endured multiple trials.
“The injuries inflicted on Camron were shocking. From the very start, the investigation team was determined to get the people responsible off our streets.
“Despite the complexity of the investigation, and attempts to hinder our enquiries, we have succeeded in bringing him to justice.”
Neighbours were left shocked after the bodies were discovered at a property in the village of Ormesby, North Yorkshire, on Wednesday, police said.
Cleveland Police are treating the deaths as “unexplained” at present with detectives carrying out investigations.
A property on Millbeck Way was cordoned off on Thursday morning after police made the grim discovery on Wednesday afternoon.
One local resident told TeessideLive that they hadn’t seen the people living at the property in “almost three weeks”.
They said: “I had a funny feeling after a week that something wasn’t right.”
Another resident said: “I was gutted when I heard, it was sad really.
“They were lovely people to speak to, they were to me, they were polite.”
There were also reports of the windows of the property being smashed or boarded up.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “At approximately 2.45pm on Wednesday, September 24, police attended to a property on Millbeck Way and located two bodies inside.
“The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained as detectives begin an investigation into the circumstances.
“A scene is in place at the property.”

British Transport Police confirmed a probe had been launched into the shocking assault.
The force said: “Detectives investigating a sexual assault on board a train from Birmingham New Street to London Euston have released this CCTV image in connection.
“On Wednesday 30 July at around 6.36pm a man sexually assaulted a woman as she sat next to him on the train.
“Detectives believe the man in this CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 674 of 30 July.

Passengers on the trams reported hearing a “hissing sound” and seeing a man clad in a terrifying gas mask during the attacks.
A number of commuters complained they felt dizzy after the incidents but thankfully no injuries were reported.
Witnesses reported seeing Saeed board the trams with a gas mask covering his mouth and nose.
Passengers would then hear a hissing sound as he emptied gas canisters in the carriages.
People then reported a strong smell of gas filling the trams and said they developed “headaches” and were left feeling “dizzy” during the incidents.
Several reports were made to the police and Saeed was arrested.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of causing a public nuisance at the eleventh hour today.
He changed his plea just before a trial at Manchester Crown Court was due to go ahead today.
During a court appearance in April prosecution counsel Neil Fryman said: “The Crown says it’s very disturbing behaviour, a lot of people were affected on a number of occasions.”
Saeed was warned by the judge that the starting point for an offence of this nature is a prison sentence.

Judge Elizabeth Nicholls warned Saeed that “all sentencing options will remain open.”
Saeed has been remanded in custody and is due to return to court to learn his fate in November.

“As officers continue to work their way through all the evidence available, we are asking anyone who has any information to please come forward.
“This includes anyone who believes they have witnessed something suspicious, or similar to the incidents that we are dealing with.
“Our transport hubs are operating as usual, and I would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to a police officer, who will be more than happy to discuss any queries you may have.”

A CROSSBOW wielding man has died following a police stand-off after destroying a village pub.
Police were called to Chequers pub, in Wootton, Bedfordshire, at around 10.15am on Friday after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man inside.
Shortly after officers arrived, a blaze broke out and fire crews also responded at the scene.
Paramedics rushed the man to hospital but he died on Sunday after succumbing to self-inflicted injuries.
A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police said: “Following information that the individual was in possession of a crossbow, specialist officers, including negotiators, were deployed and extensive efforts were made to ensure the safety of all at the scene.
“At around 12.45pm, the man exited the premises before sustaining self-inflicted injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he died yesterday (Sunday). His next of kin have been informed.”
An investigation is ongoing and the case has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

A BLOCK of flats erupted has into flames – with dozens of firefighters rushing to the scene.
Ten fire engines and 70 personnel are battling the blaze this morning in Enfield, London.
London Fire Brigade received reports of the fire at two second storey flats in Maybury Close at just before 5.20am.
An LFB statement said: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters have been called to a flat fire on Maybury Close in Enfield.
“Two flats on the second floor of a three storey block of flats are alight.
“The Brigade’s 999 Control officers received their first call about the fire at 0519. They mobilised crews from Enfield, Edmonton and surrounding fire stations who are currently in attendance.
“The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.”

Andrew vanished without a trace after skipping school and taking a train from his hometown of Doncaster to London on September 14 2007.
Weeks later, detectives were able to track down CCTV showing the teenager in King’s Cross station – but from there the trail has run cold.
In December 2021, two men were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and human trafficking, but police confirmed no further action was being taken in September 2023.
Dad Kevin has told The Sun how in the early weeks of the investigation, officers put the family through “traumatising” questioning in which he claims the finger was pointed at him for possible murder.
“They only wanted to get hold of the station CCTV to prove he wasn’t buried in the back garden,” Kevin said.
Asked if cops ever directly accused him of killing Andrew, he added: “That was their assumption. They’re really good at inventing stories.”
At one point Kevin and wife Glenys went to a meeting with investigators in which it was proposed their son may have become a jihadi – which refers to armed militant Islamic movements that seek to establish states based on Islamic principles.
Kevin said: “They came up with some really bizarre ideas.
“He’d taken out some books from the library about Islam and they’d come up with the idea that perhaps he was joining some sort of jihadi group.
“We had this meeting and got back in the car – we looked at each other and said ‘is that the most ridiculous thing you’ve heard in your life?’

“He was doing a school project.”
Kevin said the jihadi theory was an example of “this horrible spiral, that was entirely unhelpful and non-productive”.
“They’d come up with something insanely unlikely, that it was laughable,” he explained. “It really wasn’t good in 2007, at the beginning.”
He felt such lines of enquiry seemed to be distracting from following more obvious leads and when detectives finally did try to track down CCTV, much of the footage had already been wiped.
Investigators questioned both of Andrew’s parents, and older sister Charlotte prior to releasing the station video, a month after the disappearance.
Describing his own interrogation, Kevin said: “I did get the good cop bad cop routine.”
He added: “A couple of officers involved were in our house for five minutes, 10 minutes…
“They turned to us and said ‘how did you discipline him?’
“We said ‘we didn’t, we never had problems with him’.”

Referring to the family’s treatment, he said: “It’s wrong. I still have no idea what they said to Charlotte.
“She came back (from police questioning) really shaken and said ‘just don’t ask because what they asked me was disgusting’, so we can guess.”
He continued: “There were too many statistics and assumptions.
“They traumatised all three of us, but just because I’m a man I got the worst of it.
“It was so off beam and so wrong, that it did end up with a suicide attempt because I just thought we’re never going to find him like this, I just need to be out of the way because clearly they’ve got this idea in their head.
“I know it’s not true but they’re never going to find him if that’s where they’re putting their time and resources.”
Referring to the idea he or anyone else in the family had hurt Andrew, Kevin went on to say: “I said to them more than once, if you find him, you can ask him and he’ll tell you it’s rubbish.
“You’ve asked my daughter and my wife, the neighbours, his teachers, school friends and you’ll have come across no hint that there was ever a problem.”
‘All we can hope is something comes up’
Andrew, if he’s still alive, would be 32 now.
Kevin said: “All we can hope is that something comes up and someone volunteers something and remembers something, anonymously if necessary, and gives us something revolutionary.”
The dad-of-two, 59, is currently refurbishing the family home, including repainting Andrew’s old bedroom, which is adorned with photos of the then-schoolboy.

The refurbishment is addressing “all the stuff I haven’t paid notice to for the last 30 years”, he explained.
Asked if keeping his mind occupied has helped him to process what happened to Andrew, he said: “I don’t know about processing things. It never gets any easier.
“I’ve never made the mental illness stuff a secret.”
Kevin attempted suicide early in the search for Andrew, saying he was tipped over the edge by cops implying he was involved in his son’s disappearance.

“Sadly, I had reached the conclusion that it isn’t going to get any better.”
He left his job at the NHS after Andrew disappeared and was doing part-time cleaning work before being made redundant.
In November, when he turns 60, Kevin is due a “big payout” from the NHS, having been employed there for 20 years.
He said keeping himself occupied with any little projects is essential.
“I know an awful amount of people retiring, I can’t,” he admitted. “All of this distracts.
“Since Andrew disappeared, my concentration, memory, all that stuff… mood and anxiety in particular, it paralyses your brain.

The schoolboy had skipped school and taken a train to London when he vanished
“All of that has been constant so I struggle to think straight.
“Things like refurbishing, you have to pay enough attention on it to not ruminate on things. I have several little projects on the go.”
He went on to say: “I do most days wake up in a bit of a panic, thinking I need to get this done, I need to get that done.
“My wife goes, ‘you never sit still’. You propel yourself into doing stuff with far too much anxiety behind it and rush it. That tends to be how it goes.
“You get the days when depression will kick in and I just can’t do anything. It’s constantly tough.
“Every day it is a struggle. Partly I just keep doing these things, you have to persevere, or I do, just to keep going. As opposed to giving up.”
Sick trolls posting fake updates
Most recently, Kevin and his family have been forced to consult with police over sick clickbait articles falsely claiming that Andrew has been found, or further CCTV footage has been unearthed, and some include falsified statements from his loved ones.
“That’s been causing me a lot of anxiety,” said Kevin. “What I worry about is, you just don’t want to end up going through the same thing Nicola Bulley’s family went through.”
Nicola Bulley was a mum-of-two young children who vanished aged 45 in January 2023 during a dog walk in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire, before her body was found weeks later in the river.
However, the search for the mum saw a media frenzy, with TikTokers and other social influencers flooding the scene and some spreading misinformation online.
Kevin has been alerted to countless possible sightings of Andrew over the years, and at one stage the family had age progression images done showing what he might look like now.
“One of my fears is I could walk past him in the street, if he’s alive,” he said.

“He might have grown a beard, he would look so different. You worry you could trip over him in the street and have no idea.”
Asked what he believes became of Andrew, Kevin said he, his wife and daughter have “fluctuated on this for years”.
He continued: “None of us can imagine that the Andrew we knew would not have made some kind of contact at some point because we never fell out, we never argued.
“It still boils down to we’re still absolutely clueless, but that makes us think he probably isn’t alive but that makes you think how come we’ve never found remains and no one ever saw him or noticed anything.
“It turns around in your head and you can never come to any definite conclusion, which is the whole problem with ambiguous loss and why the mental health issues never resolved.”
He added: “We try to maintain hope, there’s that little voice in your head that says someone somewhere must know something, surely.”
Kevin said it would be easier, in a sense, if it could be proven either way what happened to his son.
“If we had a bag of bones or something that would be incredibly tough, and obviously would raise a whole lot of other questions as to how we’ve ended up with that,” he said.
“It’s a double-edged sword, it’s the answer you just don’t want to know. But on the other hand, it feels like knowing would be better than not knowing.”
Andrew went missing at a time before the smart phones craze, the first iPhone was released the same year as his disappearance, and he didn’t even have a mobile.

Kevin said: “You are going back to the days of a lot less social media and internet. People weren’t carrying around a computer in their pocket the whole time.”
However, he said the fact that it appeared to go “pear-shaped” when trying to retrieve further CCTV at one of Europe’s most heavily surveillanced areas, “is still rather upsetting”.
Kevin said he and his family told investigators, after witnesses came forward, that King’s Cross was unlikely to be Andrew’s final destination as it’s a “transport exchange with links to everywhere”.
But he said the sluggish start meant the golden window of collecting evidence within the first 48 hours was missed.
Kevin said: “It’s worth saying that policing is still inconsistent when looking for a missing person, but it is very much improved.
“I’m pretty sure every police force has a dedicated team for missing persons now. Things are done a lot better now.”
Andrew’s disappearance
Looking back to the time Andrew disappeared, Kevin said it was a Friday and they weren’t certain he’d gone missing until the Monday morning.
The family spoke to train station staff, including a woman who said she’d sold the schoolboy a one-way ticket.
They then trekked down to London and began putting up posters in any places they thought Andrew might have been.

They have relatives in the capital and he had been on trips there before.
“A couple of commuters saw posters we put up and said ‘we sat on the same carriage’ and we established he got to King’s Cross,” Kevin said.
The dad had also rung around Andrew’s friends and local hospitals, and even considered his son may have gone to Whitby, another place he liked.
“Our gut instinct was right,” he continued. “We were saying to police ‘we know he went to King’s Cross, most likely he got a train because he was most familiar with that transport’.
“The point is, it took them 27 days or something to get the CCTV of him walking out of King’s Cross station, which is what we were saying he would probably do from the start.”
But Kevin said he doesn’t believe cops at the time wanted to believe Andrew had simply gone missing, and rather the attention turned to something more sinister involving the family.
He said: “There were potential sightings that sounded quite plausible but the police weren’t following those up.
“They weren’t liaising with the Met and then it’s six weeks later and they’re saying ‘the CCTV’s been overwritten’, that was frustrating at the time.”
Kevin and Andrew’s other loved ones still have no idea why the schoolboy even decided to skip school and head down south.
“This is why it was a complete shock to us,” Kevin said. “It never occurred to us that he would go missing at all.
“The whole thing was awful and I can’t remember how many days, weeks it was and when certain events occurred.
“It was such a blur. You’re in such a state of panic. We were all three of us very traumatised by the fact of the matter that Andrew had disappeared and we had no clue why.”
At the time, there were theories Andrew had perhaps travelled down for a gig or to meet up with friends, and would suddenly turn up.
“He was going to do something that he knew we wouldn’t want him to do – just doing whatever it was,” said Kevin.
“He maybe thought ‘I can always get to my grandparents or my uncle’s and I’ll face the music later on and they’ll have a chance to calm down.’
“We thought he’d show up somewhere and say ‘I’ve done something foolish and I need a bit of help’. It just never happened,” said Kevin.
Other theories suggested Andrew had been groomed online and had headed down to London where he was trafficked.
Kevin said: “There’s no evidence, not one shred of evidence.”
Instead, he believes it was as simple as Andrew skipped school to do something in London he knew his parents otherwise wouldn’t be happy about, and he came across the wrong people.
“That’s what my gut has always said, really,” Kevin admitted. “We brought both kids up to think for themselves and be independent and they were both extremely capable, more than.
“Andrew was exceptionally gifted academically, so he could be lost in deep thought.
“He was insanely intelligent, but you wouldn’t have put him in the hanging round street corners and being streetwise category.”
He added: “One day, we hope that we’ll find out what happened.”
DCI Andy Knowles, of South Yorkshire Police, who has led the investigation in recent years, told The Sun: “I’m in regular contact with the Gosden family and I’m incredibly grateful for their support as we work together to answer the questions which have remained unanswered for so long.
“We carefully consider any information received ensuring it is recorded, catalogued and, where there are reasonable lines of enquiry, it is pursued.”
Missing People charity
Since Andrew’s disappearance, his family has been supported by charity Missing People.
According to the organisation’s website: “Going missing is a matter of life or death for tens of thousands of people each year.
“Missing People was founded in the early 1990s by sisters Janet Newman OBE and Mary Asprey OBE, inspired by the tragic disappearance of estate agent Suzy Lamplugh in 1986.
“Initially starting a Helpline from their home, they quickly became a beacon of hope for families of the missing.
“For over 30 years, we’ve been there for children and adults who are at risk of danger or harm, and those who love them.
DINERS who were rushed to hospital after an “excruciating” meal suspect one ingredient was the cause of their torment.
After tucking into a family meal at the Dosa Kingss eaterie in Sale, Manchester, on September 6, 11 diners had to be treated by medics.

A massive emergency response was sparked by the incident with fire crews, police and paramedics called to the chaotic scene.
Customers inside the restaurant became violently unwell after eating some of the food on offer and have now blamed one ingredient for the disastrous dinner.
The incident sparked a Greater Manchester Police investigation.
Two of the 11 diners suffered severe reactions to the food and had to be hospitalised while several others were treated inside the restaurant.
Police said a number of people were treated for “minor reactions” to the dodgy food.
One of the lines of inquiry being probed blames yams for the diners illness.
Some types of the root vegetable can contain toxins that can be harmful if undercooked.
It is believed to have been part of one of the dishes served from the restaurant’s set menu.
The exact cause of the violent reaction to the food has yet to be confirmed.
One diner, Amrita Kapadia, who was dining with her young son and her family at the restaurant, was among the customers served the food.

She said the Aviyal, which is a thick stew of mixed vegetable, contained yams.
Amrita was one of the two diners to be hospitalised after the meal made her feel like she was “chewing glass.”
She claims the food left her suffering a severe reaction with her mouth and throat burning.
She was unable to speak following the “frightening” ordeal and said it felt as though she had been “stung by bees.”
Amrita told Manchester Evening News: “The table next to us started complaining that something was stinging or spicy in their mouths.
“The restaurant folks brought them water and, while that was going on, two of us at our table of five had the same dish at the same time, which was a mixed vegetable dish called Aviyal.
“As soon as we ate it, we had this stinging sensation in our mouths. It was like chewing glass, it was excruciating. It felt like I had been stung by bees it was just so painful.
“We couldn’t taste anything and our tongues went bizarre. The sensation travelled to our gums, cheek and throats.”
Before her own situation deteriorated further, Amrita instructed her son, who thankfully avoided any serious reaction to the food, to stop eating immediately.
Diners began to call 999 and ask for paramedics to be sent as they began to lose the ability to speak and felt paralysed.
The harrowing ordeal left diners with increased heart rates, dizziness, pain and swelling.
Amrita was hospitalised for four hours after she was given two shots of adrenaline that did nothing to combat her extreme symptoms by paramedics.
She received a form from Trafford Council to complete detailing what each member of the party had consumed.
Police remained at the scene for hours after the incident as their investigation got underway.
The scale of the emergency response sparked fears of a serious gas leak which was quickly ruled out by the probe.
Dosa Kingss posted a brief statement on social media following the chaos.
It reads: “Dear valued customers, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are temporarily closed.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding and support. We look forward to serving you again.”
A spokesperson for GMP previously stated: “At around 12.40pm today (6 September), we received a report of people becoming unwell at a restaurant on Northenden Road, Sale.
“Emergency services quickly attended and several people were treated at the scene for minor reactions. Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing.”

The notorious adult film star was appearing at an event dubbed “the wildest freshers experience in Sheffield”.
But carnage soon followed 40 minutes later as footage showed cops tackling suspects at the venue after an attendee reportedly punched her in the jaw.
However, Bonnie’s head of security told The Sun that she wasn’t punched but was “slapped” by a fan.
“Bonnie takes risks every time she poses for thousands of pictures with fans — and that’s always the main challenge for us, as we keep constant eyes on her safety,” he said.
“In this case, a fan took a split-second opportunity to slap her. Our team immediately stepped in with reasonable and necessary actions to de-escalate the situation, and Bonnie carried on with her night’s work.
“For the sake of content and socials, Bonnie often allows fans within arm’s reach, but our team has successfully managed numerous situations to stop anything aggressive — whether verbal or physical.
“This was an opportunistic attack, and it will not be tolerated.”
Bonnie also downplayed the altercation and said she was “totally fine” and thanked her security.

A SCHOOLGIRL has tragically died at her home, as friends and family pay heartbreaking tributes.
Emergency services attended a property on Manor House Lane, Preston, on Monday morning after reports of a sudden death.

Nina Papierniok, 13, who was a pupil at Archbishop Temple Church of England High School, was found dead.
LancashirePolice have confirmed her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be handed to the coroner in due course.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called to Manor House Lane, Preston, at 7.04am on September 15 following reports of a sudden death.
“Emergency services have attended and tragically found a 13-year-old girl deceased.
“Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this extremely distressing time.
“The girl’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course.”
Friends and family have rallied round to launch a fundraiser in the Nina’s memory and as a way to support her loved ones.
It has already raised more than £9,500 in just a few days.
A post on the GoFundMe page says: “13-year-old Nina, the beloved daughter of our friend Justyna, passed away suddenly in the United Kingdom.
“Justyna is a single mother, and during this unimaginably difficult time, she needs our support to cover the funeral costs and to say a dignified farewell to her daughter.
