AMERICAN streamer MrBeast has married his stunning fiancée in a week-long bash on Richard Branson’s private island retreat.

Top YouTube creator MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has tied the knot with Thea Booysen.

After dating for four years, Jimmy and Thea got said ‘I do’ on Richard Branson‘s ultra-luxury Necker Island resort.

“I found MrsBeast. And it was the best day of my life,” he announced on Instagram, alongside a sweet snap of them on their wedding day.

Fans rushed to the comments to congratulate the newlyweds, with one person writing: “All the best for your newly married life and congratulations both of you.”

Another then wrote: “Really happy for you guys, may god keep you together forever.”

The couple’s wedding was attended by 70 loved ones, as per reports.

Their lavish wedding kicked off on July 14, with the festivities going on for a week at the stunning 74-acre private island in the Caribbean.

The couple first met when MrBeast was visiting South Africa, Thea’s home country.

Both Jimmy and Thea are gamers and content creators, though she was quite shocked by how down-to-earth he was.

Speaking to People, Thea said: “When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was, and also how intelligent he was.

“I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he’s actually a nice guy. He wasn’t sitting there with an ego.”

MrBeast’s YouTube channel has over 500m followers, and his Instagram page is nearing 90m followers.

The 28-year-old content creator was born in Wichita, Kansas, but is now based in North Carolina.

He first joined YouTube in 2012 when he was just 13.

He began by uploading videos of video game playthroughs and net worth estimates of fellow YouTubers.

MrBeast has now scaled his massive YouTube stunts into a global, multiproduct production studio. 

Under Beast Industries, he oversees a media empire, food lines (Feastables and Lunchly), analytical tool Viewstats, and licensing deals. 

RICHARD Gere is spotted getting close with his 28-year-old co-star on the set of controversial romance movie.

The esteemed actor, 76, is currently in New York City and was seen filming scenes with the actress in a park.

The actor is back doing what he does best, and is gearing up for his new flick Asymmetry, which is adapted from Lisa Halliday’s same named novel. 

The film centres around an intense love affair between author Ezra (Gere) who is in his seventies and an aspiring writer called Alice.

The book itself had sparked massive controversy due to the character’s shocking more than four decade age-gap.

As filming began in New York City, Gere and actress Diana Silvers were snapped getting cosy on set.

The Hollywood star embraced and held hands with his much younger co-star, with the two keeping things strictly professional off-screen.

The pair shot scenes on a bench in Central Park, which is a crucial scene where the two characters meet, before beginning a steamy romance.

The actor can be seen in a white shirt and jeans as he sits alongside Diana who’s styled in a floral mid length dress. 

Both stars were also seen walking around the park laughing and smiling together.

Oscar-winning producer Edward Zwick is directing and writing the film.

He said to People: “It’s about two people who discover that what the world calls asymmetry can in fact have another name: love.”

Pretty woman actor Gere, is happily married within his own age-gap marriage to his 43-year-old wife Alejandra Silva.

The couple have two children together, welcoming their latest baby on April 23, 2020.

He was previously married to Carey Lowell with whom he has a son, Homer – the pair split in 2013 after 11 years of marriage. 

From 1991-1995 he was also married to supermodel Cindy Crawford.

The star has starred in many blockbuster hits, but when he was 41 he was cast in Pretty Woman.

The film, which came out in 1990, saw him star alongside Julia Roberts – and told the story of a romance between a wealthy businessman and a Sunset Boulevard prostitute.

At the time he was already a famous face in Hollywood after the huge success of An Officer and a Gentleman in 1982.

In 2002 he appeared in the film version of the musical Chicago which won six Academy Awards including Best Picture in 2003.

Great Britain’s Ben Whittaker marked his American debut with an impressive second-round victory against Richard Rivera at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The flamboyant Whittaker dropped the American at the end of the first round with a right hand, although Rivera pointed that the punch had caught him on the back of the head.

But Whittaker, nicknamed ‘The Surgeon’, clinically caught his rival with a left-hander at the start of the second and, although Rivera staggered to his feet, the referee stopped the light-heavyweight bout.

The win improved Whittaker’s record to 12 wins and a draw from his 13 professional fights, while Rivera suffered the third defeat of his 30 fight career.

“Brooklyn, that’s how you do it man,” said Midlands boxer Whittaker, who is renowned for his showboating and did a little dance at the end of the first round on the way back to his corner.

The fight took place on the undercard of Xander Zayas, who attempted to defend his WBA and WBO super-welterweight titles against Jaron Ennis.

But Zayas succumbed to a seventh-round stoppage, with the referee ending the contest after the Puerto Rican boxer had been knocked down for a third time in the fight.

It was the first defeat Zayas had suffered in his 24-fight career, while unbeaten American Ennis has 36 wins from as many fights.

An ITV show starring GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles has reportedly been dropped by the network after the duo filmed the pilot episode for the series

GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles’ I’m A Celeb spin-off has reportedly been axed. The unlikely duo who became close friends when they appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2024, were expected to explore topics around life and death.

During their time in the Australian jungle, GK, who found fame online, and Church of England vicar Richard instantly struck up a bond and became inseparable, and a fan-favourite duo.

Last year, GK confirmed that the project was in the works and revealed that the pilot episode had already been filmed. But ITV has decided not to go ahead with the full series.

“There were high hopes for the project because producers were excited by the dynamic between GK and Richard, not least because it seemed to amuse viewers,” a source said.

They added to The Sun: “They enjoyed the idea of the wise older man interacting with the streetwise millennial as they explored some pretty deep subjects.

“But after provisional filming took place, it was decided not to proceed with it as a series, much to the disappointment of everyone involved.”

Speaking last year, GK hinted that she would even rope her footballer girlfriend, Ella Rutherford, into the show. She told Attitude Magazine : “We are exploring walks of life from two different generations — one from a gay godly man and a gay ungodly woman.

“There are some depressing bits in there, but one thing about me is that I will make a joke about it.” She went on to add: “We’ve filmed the pilot, so if we film the full series, then I will force this girl into it.”

Richard went on to say: “Me and GK struck up the best of friendships and I’m happy to say we’ve taken that with us out of the jungle into the wider world.” But he later joked that viewers could see something “surprising with coffins.”

And GK even said on social media that it had been “a dream” working with Reverend Richard on the show. On Instagram, the influencer said: “Working with you has opened my eyes to worlds I’d never heard of or dreamt of before.

“Some of them have been nightmares, but some of them have been dreams — and today has been a dream.” Sadly, it remains unclear why ITV bosses decided to pull the show after shooting the pilot episode.

During her stint in the jungle, GK opened up about her experience and said that she hadn’t expected to become close with Richard before they became friends. Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, she said: “I came into this jungle maybe not knowing who I would gel with or who I would be close with in here, and never in a million years if you told me that I would be getting on best with a reverend would I have believed you.

“But, he is honestly… I think he might be my favourite person in here.” Meanwhile, Richard said of their bond: “We got on so well and it was such an unlikely friendship and people seemed to enjoy it.

“I like visiting her world and trying to figure out what’s going on and I think she quite likes visiting my world, so maybe a little trip together would be fun to do. I love the TV reality format because you always have a ‘bromance’, but I’ve never had a bromance with a 25-year-old lesbian before, and that’s great.”

The November runoff for state schools superintendent will pit two school board presidents — one a union-friendly liberal and the other a Trump-aligned conservative — against each other.

Republican, Sonja Shaw finished in first place in this week’s primary with 24.5% of votes counted through June 4. Democrat Richard Barrera had19.3%.

Shaw’s margin seems comfortable even with more ballots to be counted, with Barrera firmly in the runoff. The third-leading vote-getter, Wendy Castaneda Leal, was about 10 percentage points behind him.

The race creates a clear contrast between candidates and their vision for California’s schools.

While Shaw, 43, has not typically spoken to Trump’s immigration policies in relation to schooling, she is in accord with the Trump administration education agenda, including banning trans-athletes from women’s and girls’ sports and notifying parents when a child expresses gender-identity issues at school.

Under Shaw’s leadership, the school board in Chino Valley Unified, located in San Bernardino County, also approved a policy that permits parents to challenge books in school libraries.

Barrera, 59, is the board president of San Diego Unified, the second-largest school system in the state. He is a former union official who has developed strong bonds with the teachers union during his long board tenure.

That history helped him win the endorsement of the California Teachers Assn., which poured about $5 million into an independent campaign on his behalf.

Barrera acknowledges that this support made the difference in his leap ahead of other strong Democratic candidates.

Shaw has framed her campaign as a populist effort against a failed and self-interested status quo establishment.

“I didn’t get into this race because I was a politician,” Shaw said in a statement. “I got into it because I was a mom who saw too many families being ignored, too many classrooms falling behind, and too many elected officials unwilling to stand up for our kids.”

Barrera said he is ready to focus on the job of helping students learn more effectively.

“We see examples of schools that are delivering,” Barrera said. “The answers are all around us. The challenge for us as a state is to learn from educators in the local community about what is beating the odds and then take those practices to scale.”

Barrera speaks of an “assault” by the Trump administration on immigrant families: “I’m going to stand up to that assault.”

Barrera, who is a senior adviser to outgoing state Superintendent Tony Thurmond, praises the record of his boss.

Shaw, in contrast, once threw Thurmond out of her local school board meeting.

Lance Christensen, a conservative education analyst who ran unsuccessfully for the office four years ago against Thurmond, is ready for a spirited campaign that “is about to go nuclear.”

“Sonja Shaw pulled out an impressive primary win as an unabashed parental rights advocate while successfully running her local school district,” Christensen said.

“Should Shaw weather the political maelstrom that is about to hit her with tens of millions of dollars from the entrenched left,” he added, “she will have a bigger bully pulpit to shame the people in power who have made California’s education system the laughing-stock of the nation.”

Veteran Democratic political consultant Larry Levine predicted that, in November, Democrats will consolidate around Barrera just like Republicans did around Shaw in the primary — likely leading to a different order of finish in November.

“She consolidated the Republican vote and the Democrats spread like butter on warm bread,” Levine said. “It will be a far different story in the general. CTA will step up with the money to make sure their candidate wins.”

One of the trailing Democrats — former state Legislative leader Anthony Rendon —has already endorsed Barrera.

Rendon said that Barrera “is qualified, shares my values, and has spent his career fighting for public education. He is the candidate who will stand up to and defeat the dangerous, extremist ideology of Sonja Shaw.”

The state superintendent has limited authority over school districts, which are locally managed. The officeholder instead manages the California Department of Education. This agency guides local school districts and also provides partial oversight. The state superintendent also typically takes advantage of the bully pulpit on education issues.

The office has an uncertain future because Gov. Gavin Newsom is pushing a proposal to reimagine the office and redistribute some of its duties.

Richard Madeley has revealed the heartfelt reason behind why he sleeps in a separate bedroom from Judy Finnigan. The 69 year old Good Morning Britain presenter shot to stardom alongside Judy during the 1980s when the couple fronted ITV’s This Morning, before launching their own show, Richard and Judy, on Channel 4.

The pair first crossed paths in 1982, while both were married to different partners, but their romance flourished and 39 years ago today (November 21) they tied the knot in Manchester. They share two children, Jack and Chloe Madeley, while Richard is also stepfather to Judy’s two eldest sons, Dan and Tom Henshaw, from her previous marriage.

Richard and Judy, who turns 78 today (Saturday, May 16), ran from 2001 to 2009 before declining ratings led to its cancellation by television channel Watch. Judy later became a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women while Richard joined Good Morning Britain. However, a decade ago, Judy made the major decision to step back from television – which has resulted in them sleeping separately.

And Richard says his wife is “really enjoying” her break from the cameras. Meanwhile, he continues presenting GMB alongside journalist Susanna Reid. Though he recently took time off from the programme, informing followers he was “operating at 80 per cent” after contracting Covid.

Hosting ITV’s flagship morning programme means early rises for Richard. With GMB broadcasting from 6am, he regularly retreats to the spare room so his wife can enjoy a few extra hours of sleep. The beloved presenter lifted the lid on their bedtime arrangements during an appearance on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast.

He explained: “When I’m doing Good Morning Britain I sleep in the spare room. I do probably sleep a little bit better in bed with Judy but I’m okay on my own.” When asked whether he’d consider waking Judy up early instead, he added: “I wouldn’t think of doing that to Judy. Apart from anything else, Judy and her sleep, you do not mess with,” reports the Manchester Evening News.

Kate revealed that fellow early-morning broadcaster Amol Rajan claims he “sleeps better” with his wife beside him — meaning the couple, who have four children all under the age of seven, must rise at the crack of dawn whenever he presents the Today programme. Richard quipped: “Amol Rajan’s wife must be a saint.”

He added: “We did This Morning, but the difference between me and Amol there is that Judy and I would get up at the same time. The alarm would go off, we’d both get up and roll into our jeans, get in the car, and drive to Liverpool to do the show, and then when we were in London, drive down to the Southbank.

So we went to bed at the same time and woke up at the same time.” Richard and Judy first crossed paths in the 1980s while working on separate Granada TV programmes. Richard recalls hearing that Judy was “dicing [an executive] into small cubes with her tongue” following his “something sexist” remark. Speaking to the Guardian in 2014, he said: “I thought, wow – I’m going to marry her.”

Richard has recently disclosed that Judy initially harboured doubts about his capabilities as a stepfather. Speaking to Busted’s Matt Willis on the On the Mend podcast, Richard revealed that Judy made clear she came as a “three-pack” alongside twins Dan and Tom. To thoroughly assess his feelings about the relationship, Richard jetted off to Greece for some soul-searching.

He spent a fortnight in the Mediterranean nation reflecting “quite deeply” on his future, though the tale would eventually reach a happy ending. Richard explained: “So, I went off on my own. I went off to Greece for two weeks on a kind of a solo holiday to think about it, because I didn’t want to rush – well, I wasn’t rushing – but I didn’t want to make that mistake.”

Richard says the period apart from Judy helped him recognise that he was “quite comfortable” taking on a role in the boys’ lives. He added: “I didn’t want to say airily and with super-confidence, ‘Oh, yeah, it’ll be fine. You know, I’m happy to be a stepfather’. I needed to know that I could deliver and that I meant it.”

Richard Madeley is switching the comfort of the Good Morning Britain sofa for the grey walls of prison for a new documentary. The presenter will also head over to Channel 5 for the documentary as he takes on a huge new project.

The feature-length documentary titled Richard Madeley On Murder Row has been commissioned and is set to air later this year. The programme will offer up a rare peek inside one of the world’s most controversial prisons.

The 69-year-old star will head to Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo (CECOT). The vast maximum security prison has become the cornerstone of El Salvador President Nayib Bukele’s war on gangs.

Richard will be given access to the full site. It’s said the rare offer “took months to negotiate”, with the presenter also taking in how life really is inside the detention centre.

The GMB presenter will speak to inmates at the facility as they live under the strict regime. And he will also chat with guards who set the harsh rules to try to keep the felons under control.

Away from the institute, Richard will visit the tough urban areas that surround it and are home o a number of violent gangs. He will find out exactly what the effects of the CECOT being on their doorstep has had.

Speaking of the opportunity, Richard said: “‘I was genuinely thrilled to be asked to front this film for 5. It’s not every day you’re given the chance to step inside a place as extraordinary and talked about as CECOT.”

He went on: “What struck me straight away was the sheer scale of it, and the stories behind it. In meeting the people who run the prison and those living inside it, what unfolds is a fascinating and often surprising look at justice, security, and the human realities behind the headlines. It’s been a remarkable experience.”

Guy Davies, Consultant Editor for Commissioning 5, said: “This access to CECOT was a tantalising prospect. Richard is, at heart, a first-class popular journalist and we were thrilled to get the chance for him to serve some time there. I think viewers will be very surprised by the results.”

And Andy Dunn, Senior Executive Producer, ITN Productions, added: “Gaining access to CECOT, the most secretive and notorious prison in the world, took months of negotiation. It was really important for Richard to experience the extreme conditions there first hand, and he takes us on a compelling and unique journey as he considers the effectiveness and ethics of such a harsh regime.”

Last year, it was revealed Donald Trump had sent 250 gang members to what has been labelled the “world’s worst prison”. The maximum security mega-prison in Tecoluca, El Salvador has seen hundreds of immigrants being sent from the US by the Trump administration.

Tens of thousands of prisoners have been locked up on bare metal bunks in the prison. They often don’t have a mattress and conditions have been described as inhumane. Cells have two toilets and a basin which are open with no privacy while there are no windows and they are watched by guards from holes in the mesh ceiling.

The conditions are unlike anything seen in the UK system as the inmates take their cramped space on the metal bunks.
