Adam Peaty’s most hurtful move yet at wedding to Holly Ramsay

Adam Peaty previously had a close relationship with his parents, but in the lead up to his nuptials, things have seemingly fallen apart in the family. Below, we take a look at when and why the relationship turned

DECEMBER 2024 – ENGAGEMENT PARTY

Just a few months after Adam popped the question to Holly, the couple threw a lavish engagement party to celebrate the news. The party was filmed for Holly’s TV chef dad Gordon’s upcoming TV show, something which caused upset with the Peaty family.

“His mum was unhappy some of the family weren’t there and confronted Gordon at the event,” a source told The Sun, revealing things went “downhill” after the bash.

They said: “Guests were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones as the party was filmed.”

NOVEMBER 2025 – ADAM’S STAG DO

Almost a year after things first soured, the feud started to make headlines when Adam’s brother, James was arrested during his stag do.

Adam’s brother James was arrested over allegations he had sent threats to the Olympian during the trip.

While he was later bailed, a source said at the time that Adam felt his mum was “enabling his brother’s actions rather than pushing him to deal with his demons.”

NOVEMBER 2025 – HOLLY’S HEN DO

Holly celebrated becoming a bride with a hen do at celeb hotspot Soho Farmhouse.

Her mum, Tana, a number of friends and Victoria Beckham were amongst the guestlist, but Adam’s mum wasn’t invited.

At the time, Adam’s aunt, Louise Williams, accused Holly of being “hurtful” towards Caroline, who was at home looking after Adam’s son – who he has from a previous relationship.

She wrote: “@hollyramsayy I’m so glad that you had a great hen do. As a bride, you deserve that. However, as a person you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman, who I have loved and continue to love deeply.

“A woman who opened her home and heart to you. You decided, for whatever reason, not to invite her, your prospective mother-in-law to your hen night yet Adam invited his father-in-law, your dad, to his stag night.”

She continued: “You invited your mum (quite rightly) and even your mum’s assistant, your sisters, your friends, my niece, but not my sister, your future mother-in-law.”

DECEMBER 2025 – UNINVITED

Following the hen and stag do drama, it was revealed that Adam had uninvited his mum, Caroline, from the wedding.

The swimmer is said to have given his dad, Mark, an invitation, but told him he would need to remain at the back of the church throughout the ceremony – something Mark declined.

Just four days before the big day, more family were uninvited when Adam’s aunt Janet, 73, and uncle Eddie received a message from the couple to say they were no longer welcome.

A source said: “They got an automated message basically saying they were off the guest list and to respect Adam and Holly’s decision.

“It was so impersonal, and just four days before the big day.”

The brutal text came despite the fact the couple had already shelled out hundreds of pounds on accommodation, outfits and gifts.

DECEMBER 2025 – SPEECH SNUB

During the big day, Holly’s dad Gordon made a speech where he seemingly made a dig at Adam’s parents.

Gushing over his wife, Gordon said to Adam during his speech: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

In a dig at Adam’s absent parents, he added to Holly: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

DECEMBER 2025 – NAME CHANGE

Following their nuptials, Adam has added Ramsay as a double-barreled surname with his own.

The move seemingly shows his close bond with his wife’s family, another nail in the coffin to his own clan.

The fashion publication has shared a slew of snaps from the big day at Bath Abbey including the first-look at the FIVE wedding dresses she opted to wear.

Holly took control of the piece, writing her own picture captions and seemingly shading Adam’s family in the process amid their ongoing family feud.

Adam famously disinvited his mother to the big day after severing ties with many members of the Peaty clan amid a tough few months.

Now, Holly has seemingly excluded them once again with a cutting dig.

GIFT SPLURGE

Holly Ramsay & Adam Peaty spend HUGE sum on gifts for 200 wedding guests

Captioning a family snap in her Vogue article showcasing the wedding party, Holly penned: “Our people.”

It appeared to hint that as Adam’s family were not part of the wedding party that they were not a part of the newlyweds’ ‘people’.

The image showed Gordon and her mum Tana, alongside sisters Tilly and Megan, who both wore matching red Victoria Beckham gowns.

Adam’s sister, Bethany, the only member of his family to attend, also wore the same red gown and was included in the snap.

The swimmer’s groomsmen as well as Holly’s younger brothers completed the snap.

Adam’s brother, mother, father as well as his aunts and uncles were all missing after being scrubbed from the ceremony.

Furthermore, Holly captioned a photograph of her alongside mum Tana and family friend, Victoria Beckham, with: “Mama, Victoria and me. Two of my favourite women.”

The caption is likely to sting for Adam’s mum Caroline who was blocked from attending the nuptials as well as not being invited to Holly’s hen-do alongside Tana and Victoria.

Holly married Adam wearing a custom-made Elie Saab dress.

The long-flowing gown featured a lace-pattern throughout with Holly confessing she was able to make her own changes to the dress after first trying it on in London.

The gown, which she wore to walk down the aisle before changing into many others throughout the day, also featured see-through sleeves.

Speaking of the dress, Holly told Vogue:  “I knew I wanted to wear something very traditional and quite modest, with lace.

“I’ve always loved Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton’s gowns: that beautiful high neckline, super feminine.”

Holly added she was “obsessed” with her gown, admitting: “It makes me feel very princess-like.”

She went onto change into another Elie Saab number for the reception at Kin House – a shorter gown that she described as “fun”.

The number featured rhinestones and exposed Holly’s long legs as she opted to dance the night away in the mini-dress.

Prior to that, she also donned another dress – this time her mother’s 1996 gown that she wore for her big day to Gordon.

Holly wanted to wear the dress to honour her mum, revealing: “I’ve always loved the idea of bringing in mum’s dress at some point.

“It’s beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around.

“I tried it on and it fit me perfectly – it didn’t need any altering.”

As part of the wedding weekend, Holly also opted for a custom Victoria Beckham slip dress for the action the night before the ceremony.

Adam recently appeared to show no signs of offering up an olive branch after he thanked Jesus for everything that had happened in the year – despite the fractious feud.

The sport star appeared grateful for how things had panned out this year – even if it meant falling out with his family.

He shared a quote, which read: “It’s the last day of 2025. Thank you Jesus for everything this year.”

Elsewhere, the rift was also referenced during the ceremony when Gordon appeared to take a jibe at Adam’s parents.

He delivered a fiery speech of his own, saying his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both”.

Gordon gushed at how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

And in a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents he told Holly: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

Now, the content creator spoke about a photo showing her and Adam at the ceremony and referenced the speech, saying: “Listening to dad’s speech, looking around the room and feeling overwhelmed with the love and the happiness on our guests’ faces.”

It’s been a tumultuous time for Adam and his family.

On Tuesday, The Sun revealed that Adam uninvited his great aunt and uncle from his wedding – just four days before the ceremony.

The lead up to their nuptials was fraught with drama, after Adam, 31, uninvited his mum Caroline when a feud erupted over her failing to be invited to Holly’s hen do.

It was then revealed that Adam had said his dad Mark could attend the wedding – but he would have to sit at the back of the church.

Unsurprisingly, Mark chose not to attend, as did Adam’s brothers James and Richard.

Now, The Sun can reveal that his great aunt Janet, 73, and uncle Eddie were uninvited in a very brutal way just four days before the ceremony.

Adam’s older sister Beth was the only family member to be invited to the big day – and along with Holly’s sisters Tilly, 24 and Megan, 27, she was one of the three bridesmaids.

Adam’s once close pal, Olympic swimmer and The Bi Life star Michael Gunning was also disinvited from the event just days before.

Gordon Ramsay’s scathing digs at Adam Peaty’s family ‘filmed for Netflix show’

Gordon Ramsay added even more fuel to the ongoing feud with Adam Ramsay Peaty’s family after humiliating them in his wedding speech, which was reportedly caught on camera for his Netflix show

Gordon Ramsay’s six-word put-down towards Adam Ramsay Peaty’s family has reportedly been filmed for his Netflix show. The TV chef used his proud moment as the father of the bride to deliver a six-word put-down during his wedding speech.

Holly Peaty Ramsay and her now husband, Adam Peaty, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony over the Christmas holiday, surrounded by A-list friends and family at Bath Abbey. But due to a bitter clash over wedding arrangements, neither of Adam’s parents attended the wedding.

And now the feud is likely to take on a new dimension as Gordon’s caustic put-down was caught on camera, filming for his upcoming Netflix reality TV show. Gordon’s camera crew were present at the wedding reception when his comments were made.

The first comment, which was perceived as a jab at Adam’s mum, Caroline, was that Tana “will be a good mum to them both”, leading many to believe that he was hinting at Caroline not being the same. And the second jibe came when he said Adam was a “lucky man” in reference to his daughter, Holly.

He then turned to Holly and added: “Shame you don’t have the same.” According to reports, Caroline was left “outraged and hurt” in hearing about his harsh quip. A source told The Sun: “The cameras were there and part of the day was filmed. It’ll be very obvious which family members aren’t there.”

They added: “I would imagine that the family feud will come up at some point – it would be weird to just ignore it.” Meanwhile, an insider of Adam’s family told the Daily Mail: “Caroline can’t believe Gordon brought their family troubles up in his speech.”

They continued: “It is outrageous and very hurtful. By him saying Tana will be a good mum to them both makes Caroline sound like a bad mum. It was a cruel dig at her.” It was reported that Adam’s family have contacted Netflix in order to be removed from the chef’s docuseries, which is likely to follow in the footsteps of his close pals David and Victoria Beckham.

The family of the Olympic swimmer has reportedly contacted the streaming platform to claim that they had not given consent to being filmed at the engagement party last year. However, the Mirror understands that throughout the night, there were visible signs stating that the party would be filmed. A source close to the Ramsays told us that everybody in attendance had a “jolly time” and that by attending, “you were giving your consent” to appear in his docu-series.

Our source went on to add that the Peaty family were not formally interviewed, so there was no additional consent required, and they are not in the final edits of the programme. The source went on to tell us that there are “no delays to the production”.

A source said: “Caroline has written to Netflix to say the family were not asked for their consent to be filmed for Gordon’s documentary at last year’s engagement do. She was very clear that, after everything that’s happened, they do not want to be featured.”

The insider added: “She was filmed giving a speech, as were the family, during arrivals and while mingling at the party.” Adam banned his mum from the wedding ceremony following a fallout after Caroline was not invited to Holly’s glamorous hen party last month, which included fashion designer Victoria Beckham. It’s claimed that Holly also called the police after Adam’s brother James allegedly made threats over text message while on his stag do in Budapest. James was later arrested at his home in Staffordshire on suspicion of harassment but was placed on bail.

Caroline has spoken in the past about her heartbreak over being estranged from her son. And now, on New Year’s Eve, she has taken to social media once again to speak about her pain. One sketch was of a Robin and a ladybird sitting together on a twig with a comment that read: “Just a little reminder that you don’t have to make resolutions, or huge decisions, or big proclamations. You can just set some sweet intentions and take each day as it comes.”

The second quote read: “I won’t end this year pretending everything was fine. I lost a piece of myself this year that I will never get back, and I’m not forcing a smile like it didn’t change me.” She added: “So no… I won’t be saying ‘2026 is going to be my year’. I’ll be praying that I recover next year, that my heart never has to break like this again, that I never have to survive something like this again. I’ll be praying for peace… real peace, the kind that lets me breathe without fighting for it. I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.”

The Mirror has reached out to Gordon’s representative for a comment.

But the nuptials had been overshadowed by Adam’s ongoing feud with his family, including his parents who were uninvited from the wedding.

Adam’s older sister Beth was the only family member to be invited to the big day – and along with Holly’s sisters Tilly, 24 and Megan, 27, she was one of the three bridesmaids.

Beth has now revealed the generous bridesmaid gift she received prior to the wedding.

She took to Instagram to share personalised items Holly had sent her, including a pot of Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, which retails for £79.

Just yesterday The Sun revealed that Adam uninvited his great aunt and uncle from his wedding – just four days before the ceremony.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Kin House in Kington Langley, Wiltshire.

It saw Holly’s dad Gordon deliver a fiery speech where he made a dig at Adam’s absent parents.

The 59-year-old chef said his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both”.

Gordon gushed at how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

And in a sly dig at Adam’s parents he told Holly, 25: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

His words left Caroline “outraged and hurt” with an insider telling the Daily Mail: “Caroline can’t believe Gordon brought their family troubles up his speech. It is outrageous and very hurtful.

“By him saying Tana will be a good mum to them both makes Caroline sound like a bad mum. It was a cruel dig at her.

“She has always done her best for all her children. She is a very good mum.”

However, the newlyweds brushed off any further drama as they were pictured leaving Gordon’s London home on Monday to jet off on honeymoon.

Their trip comes after Adam changed his name on social media to Adam Ramsay Peaty, a move that was quickly criticised by his ex-girlfriend.

Eiri Munroe – who shares five-year-old son George with Adam – told friends she thought it was “hypocritical”.

A friend of his artist ex – who he split from in 2021 – says she wanted George to take her surname plus Adam’s, but claims he refused.

Eiri’s pal told The Sun: “It feels a bit rich to Eiri that Adam has been quick to change his name but didn’t allow her the same right for their son.”

Dragon’s Den star Sara shared photos from her friendship with Adam over the years, and said: “Yesterday I had the privilege of being at this amazing man’s wedding – and it also gave me a moment to reflect on how lucky I’ve been to have him in my life over the past four years.

“From the first day we met on Strictly, we’ve been firm friends, and it was a real honour to sit in Bath Abbey and watch him get emotional as the love of his life walked down the aisle.

“It was such a special day. Simon and I had the best time, the service was beautiful – and I’m sure you’ll not be surprised to hear me say, it was hands down the best wedding food I’ve ever had.

“Wishing my wonderful friend and his gorgeous bride a lifetime of happiness together.”

However both celebrities came under fire from their followers.

One told Dan: “Pity his mum and dad didn’t enjoy it too. Insensitive post,” as another said: “Nice Christian thing to do sticking it to his mother for not getting an invite. Well done Saint Dan…”

Another said: “Couldn’t agree more. Tone deaf.”

Another fan typed beneath his post: “I think this post is upsetting on so many levels.”

While One more remarked: “Sorry Dan poor judgment given the devastating circumstances for the Peaty parents.”

This person asked the TV star: “Sorry Dan, but did you really have to post this?

“For those of Adams family who weren’t there, for whatever reason, it might come across as insensitive.”

Sara was also blasted by some of her followers.

One posted: “There is something very wrong with celebrities sharing their attendance- when the most important person (regardless of who was right/wrong) was not there.”

A second person suggested: “Now Sarah you know this would bring up not good comments. You know what you are doing.

One more said: “That brakes my heart that you get the privilege to put this. As a mother of a son it breaks my heart.”

Among the A-list guests at the nuptials were Ramsay family friends Sir David Beckham and wife Victoria, plus their sons Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper.

The maids of honour wore dresses designed by Victoria in red, while Tana wore a similar style dress in green.

Security was tight, with guests wearing wristbands embossed with H&A.

But most of Adam’s family, including his mum Caroline, dad Mark and brothers James and Richard, stayed at home 150 miles away after he fell out with them.

Adam’s family feud exploded after his mum Caroline was not invited to Holly’s hen do.

It then escalated when Adam later called cops after his brother James allegedly made threats via text while Adam was on his stag do.

A family source told The Sun on Sunday last night: “Frankly, it’s disgusting that it went ahead without Adam reaching out to his mum and dad beforehand.”

The family were left even more distraught amid claims dad Mark was told by the swimmer’s sister Beth before Christmas he could attend, but had to sit at the back.

Our source said: “It was a difficult day for Caroline and Mark, so the family spent the evening together.

“Caroline got upset as soon as she saw the photographs from the wedding.

“For him to turn around and tell Beth that his dad could come and sit at the back of the church is awful.

“Mark was told he could sit behind plus-ones — who Adam has probably never even seen or spoken to.”

Adam Peaty’s brother shares pic outside wedding venue with ominous soundtrack

“Simon and I had the best time, the service was beautiful – and I’m sure you’ll not be surprised to hear me say, it was hands down the best wedding food I’ve ever had.

“Wishing my wonderful friend and his gorgeous bride a lifetime of happiness together.”

Sara looked sensational as she strutted her way into the ceremony yesterday.

The business mogul wowed in a black and blue gown that featured lacy floral detailing.

One of the best dressed attendees at the event, Sara flashed a smile and waved to the crowds as she made her way inside the venue.

The big day was not without its controversy amid the ongoing family feud tearing the Peaty family apart.

Adam’s parents were absent from the big day after a feud erupted among the clan.

We revealed that Adam allegedly told dad Mark he could only attend if he sat at the back of Bath Abbey, where the lavish celebration took place.

But Mark declined, finding the offer insulting, and remained at home 150 miles away as Adam tied the knot.

The family was split last month after Caroline was not included at Holly’s hen do at the swanky Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire, and was subsequently uninvited from the wedding.

Holly’s mum Tana and close pal Victoria Beckham were both in attendance at the girly get together near to the Beckhams’ country home.

Caroline made her feelings clear earlier this month when she shared a cryptic post on Instagram that read: “This year, I met the most broken version of myself but also the strongest. 2026, get ready, because I’m coming back stronger than ever.”

The feud escalated when bride Holly called cops after Adam’s brother James allegedly made threats via text while Adam was on his stag do.

Adam was also branded “spiteful” this Christmas for failing to buy gifts for his parents or brothers.

Adam Peaty ‘sent brutal text by aunt moments before marrying Holly Ramsay’

Peaty’s dad ‘told he could attend wedding but would have to sit at back’

The family was split last month after Caroline was not included at Holly’s hen do at the swanky Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire, and was subsequently uninvited from the wedding.

Holly’s mum Tana and close pal Victoria Beckham were both in attendance at the girly get together near to the Beckhams’ country home.

Things escalated when Holly later called cops after Adam’s brother James allegedly made threats via text while Adam was on his stag do.

We reported last night how Adam had infuriated dad Mark with his church ultimatum.

It was in stark contrast to Adam’s sister Bethany, who was a maid of honour.

Meanwhile celeb guests like TV presenter Dan Walker, chef Marcus Wareing and the Beckhams arrived to much fanfare.

Adam reportedly received a stinging text from his estranged aunt Louise just moments before walking down the aisle, according to the Daily Mail.

She is said to have let him know her feelings with full force, telling him “shame on you both”.

Her text allegedly read: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.

“Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”

The sentiments were echoed by other family members, with Adam’s great aunt Janet, 73, telling the publication: “I just feel so sorry for Caroline.

“I can’t believe he’s done this to his mother who’s done so much for him from an early age. To be treated like this is not kind.”

The change of heart comes as Holly Ramsay and her family were spotted leaving their £7.5m mansion to travel to the wedding venue.

Dad-of-one Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, are due to wed at Bath Abbey in Somerset on Saturday, December 27.

Caroline had previously insisted: “I will be there and I will watch from the street.”

But she changed her mind after her devoted husband Mark made her see sense, telling her it would be “too upsetting’ to be there.”

Around 200 people are set to attend Adam’s wedding including Holly’s chef dad Gordon and their close friends David and Victoria Beckham.

But there won’t be any surprises from unwanted guests.

Sources say the couple have booked Bath Abbey “all-day” and tourists will also be stopped from entering the landmark.

A security team is also set to patrol to stop people trying to take pictures of the couple.
