The 28-year-old was spotted switching up her style in New York City while promoting her boxing biopic Christy.

As well as the three outfits pictured, Sydney changed into three more throughout the day for a total of six.

Actress Sydney described her latest role as “one of the most inspiring” experiences of her life.

Talking of the female boxer she said: “Christy’s strength isn’t in all of her punches it’s in her heart.”

Sydney became emotional as she detailed how Christy was shot and stabbed in the chest and left for dead after threatening to leave her abusive spouse.

EASYJET is turning thousands of old crew outfits into school uniforms to support families struggling with rising costs.

The airline partnered with Luton-based charity Level Trust, which works across 75 local schools, providing uniforms to support the estimated 45 per cent of children living in poverty in the town.

Their initiative is aiming for pilots and cabin crew to donate 100 per cent of their retired outfits – which will be recycled into shirts, skirts, blazers, jackets and trousers.

The garments will then be available for older year students through the charity’s Uniform Exchange.

It comes as 58 per cent of 2,000 parents polled said they feel the pressure of the rising costs of school uniforms.

An average of £256 a year is forked out on school uniform items for just one child, totalling over £3,072 across 12 years in education.

With over a third of parents (34 per cent) sacrificing household essentials to keep up with the costs of school uniforms.

Nearly one in five (19 per cent) have used overdrafts and credit cards to afford school uniforms, as 53 per cent reported having to purchase new items before even the end of the first term alone.

Michael Brown, director of cabin services for easyJet, which is launching a crew uniform refresh on 10th November, said: “We’re proud to launch the uniform recycling programme – our aim for this first phase is both to support parents who are facing financial hardships as well as reduce our textile waste.

“Our crew uniforms have always represented care, professionalism and unity, and we’re honoured they’ll carry those same values into classrooms to empower the next generation.”

It emerged 76 per cent would like to see more government-backed community initiatives, like the uniform exchange, to help families.

Two-thirds of parents (66 per cent) say they would consider second-hand or upcycled uniforms in order to save money.

And a further 93 per cent of parents would also favour increased flexibility when it comes to school uniforms.

With 80 per cent of parents agreeing they would like to see more businesses repurposing retired materials such as uniforms into items to support local communities.

And 85 per cent would be likely to use cheaper or free school uniforms made from upcycled materials.

The research also found that 76 per cent of British parents would like to see more government backed community initiatives like the Level Trust’s uniform exchange rolled out on a national scale.

Jennie White from the charity the Level Trust, added: “We have seen a significant rise in requests for school uniforms, highlighting the challenges many families are facing.

“easyJet’s donation of surplus uniforms is a crucial step in addressing these needs as this initiative not only helps alleviate the financial strain on parents but also ensures that children have the necessary attire to feel confident and focused at school.”

We’ve all been there; you finish packing for a holiday, only to find that you end up having to sit on top of your suitcase, squishing it down and hoping that it won’t burst open when you check it in at the airport.

After all, if you’re away for a week it can feel impossible to decide which outfits you’ll need, and therefore packing everything from your wardrobe feels like the easiest solution. Well, according to fashion insiders there’s actually a simple rule that could help you not only cut down how much you pack, but it could mean you pack up to 30 outfits without needing much space.

The experts at Joe Browns have recommended using the ‘5-4-3-2-1’ packing method. The idea is that you stick to a simple formula; five tops, four bottoms, three pairs of shoes, two bags, and one destination-specific item.

For example for a beach holiday you could pack:

• Five tops: casual vests, lightweight blouses and a smarter top for dinner
• Four bottoms: shorts, skirts and trousers
• Three pairs of shoes: ones for walking around the city, one for poolside, and one for dressing up for the evening
• Two bags: A larger bag for the daytime, and then a smaller bag for when you only need to carry your essentials
• One destination-specific item: swimwear for the beach

Of course, if you have space then you can always add-in a few ‘bonus’ items such as a versatile dress, or a poolside cover-up. The perk of packing light is that you can opt for a smaller suitcase or stick to just one bag, meaning you could swerve extra hand luggage fees.

In fact, the insiders have previously shared a few packing hacks to avoid going over the luggage limits. One of their tips? “Go for items that have multiple purposes,” they recommend. “Prioritise versatility over volume to avoid overpacking.”

They also recommended that before packing, you look at how each item works with others to create multiple combinations. They added: “Planning mix-and-match looks helps you travel lighter and stay effortlessly stylish throughout your trip.” Layers can also be handy instead of “just in case items”, as these can be added or removed depending on how the weather acts during your getaway!

For those who do struggle to keep to one bag, there could be good news on the way. A major ruling may soon allow holidaymakers to take two bags into plane cabins, at no extra charge. That’s because the EU’s Transport and Tourism Committee recently proposed changes to EU passenger rights rules by 38 votes to two and two abstentions.

These still need to be voted through by the European Parliament in the coming weeks, and then discussed by country representatives for the European Council, but it’s already a step in a positive direction for those who struggle to navigate through airlines’ differing hand luggage rules.

Nerys Middleton says people often assume she’s in her thirties, but claims it’s not just down to looks but how she acts that keeps her young

Nerys Middleton has surprised many as a fashion influencer, often being mistaken for someone in her 30s despite being 52. She told What’s the Jam: “It annoys me when people say, ‘You don’t look 52’ and I think, no, I shouldn’t – I work hard to look the way I do. You have to.”

The mum-of-one attributes her youthful appearance not just to physical looks but also to keeping youthful habits. Which make her seem younger than her contemporaries.

Nerys claims that having younger friends and sticking to what they act like is a major factor: “People tell me they think I’m in my 30s because of the way I am. I hang around with people in their 30s, so they talk about what 30‑year‑olds talk about, like Love Island.”

Religiously adhering to her beauty routine, including daily SPF 50 and avoiding sun exposure, Nerys spends roughly £400 monthly on vitamins, skincare, and various beauty procedures, such as CO2 laser treatments. With Botox treatments since the age of 29.

Nerys also has a disciplined lifestyle by avoiding alcohol, smoking, and junk food. But above all, she believes her young mindset is what’s preserving her youth. She added: “If you think old, you become old.

“Most of my friends I met through work are younger than me and we get on because I have a young mindset. I spend a lot of time with young friends. We go on holidays, we go clubbing in Budapest. I wouldn’t go away with people my own age; they don’t like going out and partying.

“I think it’s not just about looks, it’s how you act. Because I’ve got younger friends, we talk about younger things and I spend a lot of time with them.”

When it comes to fashion, Nerys is mindful to steer clear of the “old-fashioned” trends she observed her mum adopting as she aged, such as short haircuts and floral prints. However, she’s also cautious about adhering too closely to what 20 year olds are wearing.

She added: “Try and keep make-up to a minimum and see what trends are out there; see what other women are wearing. But don’t follow like a sheep, try and think of trends yourself.

“Stay away from ripped jeans and ethnic shorts because they make you look like you’re trying too hard. It’s the balance in between. You can either look frumpy or look trashy.

“I’m trying to tell people about this balance that’s in the middle that can make you look classy, sophisticated and young.”
