Georgia took to her Instagram stories to share a screenshot of messages she’s received from users online.

One troll branded her ‘w****’ and told her to go back to the street she came from, referencing her as the ‘ex-wife of David Tennant’.

Georgia and David have been happily married since 2011.

The couple also have four children together and each have one child from previous relationships.

Fresh blow for David Tennant as he’s slammed by former co-star after gameshow flop

TOO COMPLICATED

ITV viewers switch off David Tennant’s new gameshow after just 10 minutes

Another sent her a barrage of vile death threats.

The actress tagged social media platform Instagram and The Metropolitan Police in a plea for them to take action against the users.

Georgia is also an actress like her husband and is the daughter of Doctor Who actor Peter Davison and his ex-wife Sandra Dickinson.

Following in her parents footsteps, she made her on-screen debut at the tender age of just 15 in Peak Practice in 1999, playing Nicki Davey.

The actress is perhaps best known for a recurring role as Abigail Nixon in The Bill from 2007 to 2009.

In May 2008, Georgia appeared in an episode of Doctor Who as Jenny, as the artificially-created daughter of the tenth doctor David, who is now her husband.

In 2020, along with David, Georgia co-starred and produced the comedy Staged, which was filmed during the Covid-19 lockdown.

As of this year Georgia has been the executive producer in a short film titled The Birds and the Bees.

Hubbie David has been facing his own predicaments this past year after his ITV game show The Genius Game was axed in the channel’s biggest, most expensive flop in years.

ITV spent months denying it had scrapped the programme, whose finale earlier this year attracted a paltry average of 661,000 in a prime time slot.

Earlier this year, Managing Director, Media and Entertainment, Kevin Lygo earlier revealed the truth  about the show when he was asked whether they would bring it back and whether he considered it a success.

He said: “Not really. I think it was a good try, but if were honest the audience didn’t come, it was a bit complicated.

“But I do know people who were obsessed with it. You know, especially young people were obsessed with and couldn’t believe we were not going to bring it back.

“But, you know, I think in entertainment we all know how difficult it is to launch a big new show.”

Discussing expenditure he added: “Every show is a risk that’s new. Every show costs millions of pounds, practically, to put on. Certainly great big entertainment shows.”

Horrifying moment Katie Price seems to KICK new puppy as panicked fans ask ‘did she just boot him?’

The reality star, 47, recently added new pup Arlo to her family, posting loving snaps of her new dog with son Harvey on her social media accounts.

But on Tuesday, Katie shared a sponsored post on her Facebook account where fans insisted she appeared to boot Arlo in video promoting a clothing brand.

“Taking my new baby Arlo for walkies [dog emoji]”, she wrote, before adding the link to a grey trench coat she’s wearing in the video.

But eagle-eyed fans were too distracted by a moment in the video, where the reality star appeared to have booted her pup.

One joked: “She just kicked the poor thing [laughing emoji]”.

While another warned: “Watch your foot”.

Some viewers also joked about the length of the ‘walkies’ in the 20 second clip.

Another quipped: “Great walk.. 8 yards.. lord be with u arlo… may u live to see Xmas”.

Katie‘s new arrival to the family comes against the backdrop of a petition designed at preventing her from being a pet-mum, which has reached more than 37,000 signatures.

It also came after her home life was thrown into chaos last month when her cat Doris had kittens, yet they became seriously unwell.

During her new short clip, Katie was seen wearing a white hoodie and propping herself up against the headboard in her bedroom.

The tiny puppy, with white and grey fur, appeared to be asleep as it sat perched by her side.

Katie did not initially address the new pet as she spoke to the camera and instead said: “This filter is so needed today, I am so tired.”

In another slide, she spoke of her new family member purely to say: “And this little one just does not leave my side.

“I can’t wait for him to meet Rookie, he’s met all of the other animals.

“This is Rookie’s new little friend for when we go horse riding, walks, everything.”

Katie was recently slammed for allegedly putting black dog Rookie in danger as she headed on a horse ride.

It came just weeks after she was called out by an animal charity over a “dangerous” move which saw her dog hanging out of her car window.

Now, since leaving the house, George has said: “As a flag bearer of freedom of speech I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.

“Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective and I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.”

He added: “It is a shame that specific debate could not be had and that it has had to end like this. Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me.”

Sources tell The Sun that George left his co-stars horrified after making offensive comments which could be interpreted as antisemitic and was immediately called to the Diary Room and ejected from the house.

“Everyone was absolutely disgusted,” an insider says. “Nobody could believe what he said – he was clearly out to shock people.”

It’s understood that ITV will air scenes featuring George on tonight’s show but won’t air the comments that led to him being kicked off the show.

Ed Gein’s horrifying three-word response when asked if he sexually abused corpses

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT. The ‘most grotesque killer in US history’ Ed Gein admitted to exhuming bodies from numerous cemeteries before finally being caught for murder

A new Netflix series has given viewers a dark look inside the mind of the ‘most grotesque killer in US history’ – and true crime fans are horrified.

The highly anticipated Monster: The Ed Gein Story was released on Friday (October 3), and profiles notorious killer Ed Gein.

It’s the latest follow-up in director Ryan Murphy’s Monster series, which has so far included shows on the Menendez brothers and Jeffrey Dahmer.

The writer’s latest show sees Charlie Hunnam star as Ed Gein, a sadistic killer who inspired fictional monsters like The Silence Of The Lambs killer Buffalo Bill. He also inspired Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

READ MORE: Ed Gein’s horror murder count explained as brother’s cause of death sparks mysteryREAD MORE: Ed Gein’s real-life ‘girlfriend’ refused killer’s marriage proposal for bizarre reason

From ten years, the murderer and body snatcher dug up graves near his remote home in Plainfield, Wisconsin, to practice necrophilia and harvest body parts.

Gein also murdered and mutilated two women, with police making an unthinkable discovery when they finally searched his home in 1957.

Mary Hogan, 54, had mysteriously vanished from the local area – but no-one suspected Gein initially. Then another woman, Bernice Worden, 58, vanished from her hardware shop.

The deputy sheriff in the area became suspicious of Gein and arrested him. That night, the cops went inside the killer’s home and found Bernice’s headless body hanging from the ceiling in the shed.

Polce also found bowls made out of human skills, organs in jars and chairs made from human skin. Human noses and lips, all carefully preserved, were also discovered. Gein confessed to shooting, killing and decapitating Bernice as well as Mary three years later.

Psychiatrists suggest that Gein’s depraved acts were directed towards women who physically resembled his late mother Augusta.

During his confession after being arrested, Gein reportedly said that he said he wanted a “woman suit”, that looked like his mother, who be was disturbingly obsessed with.

It was intended to allow him to “become his mother – to literally crawl into her skin,” according to forensic psychologist and author Katherine Ramsland.

The local sheriff, Art Schley, was reportedly so distressed by the scene that those close to him attributed it to his untimely death of heart failure aged 43 in 1968. He would not live to see Gein’s trial.

In a police interviews, Gein was asked if he sexually abused the corpses he dug up. The killer denied he ever did this, saying: “They smelled too bad”.

Gein was also suspected of being responsible for the disappearance of two children Georgia Jean Weckler, eight, and Evelyn Grace Hartley, 14. Both vanished while babysitting.

Evelyn is portrayed by Addison Rae in the Netflix series and is Gein’s second victim in the show. The gruesome murder is similar to a scene in the horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – although there is no evidence Gein committed this murder.

There were also neighbours who went missing, before Gein was arrested including James Walsh, 32.

Gein passed lie detector tests when questioned about the three cases. After admitting the murders of Bernice Worden and May Hogan, Gein was in court on murder charges in late 1957, but was declared unfit to stand trial after being diagnosed with schizophrenia.

He spent a decade in mental health institutions before authorities determined he was capable of participating in his own defence, and he finally faced court.

In the end, the jury returned a verdict of guilty but legally insane, and Gein was sentenced to life in a psychiatric institution. He died from lung cancer at the age of 77 in 1984.

Family check into Airbnb and leave almost immediately after horrifying find

It was meant to be the start of a family getaway, but it was quickly flooded with concern after they made a horror discovery in the Airbnb where their three young children were staying – ‘It really spooked us’

Checking into an Airbnb to kick-start a holiday is usually filled with excitement, but for one family, their stay was swiftly met with dread.

Content creators Kriss and Kate Hardman booked a gorgeous four-bedroom home on Airbnb for their trip to Australia, Perth, with their three children. But they quickly discovered a camera that appeared to be switched on inside the property.

In a shocking TikTok video, Kriss wrote the caption: “When you book a ‘private’ Airbnb in Perth… and find out maybe it’s not that private…” He then went on to explain: “So we got to our Airbnb last night. It’s a nice place, but there’s one thing I’m not sure about, maybe you can help me out.”

Content cannot be displayed without consent

Kriss walked through the property in the video before panning the camera around to show a video camera placed on a white shelf that appeared to be switched on. He then asked: “Is that allowed in Airbnb’s? Is that standard practice, because I don’t reckon it should be allowed.”

While Kriss was filming, one of his children could be heard playing in the background, and concerned viewers flocked to the comments to share their thoughts. One wrote: “No !!! Disconnect it”, as a second added: “They have to tell you by law”.

A third said: “No way. I wouldn’t be OK with that”, and a fourth noted: “Turn it off or turn it around. It’s not allowed especially if they haven’t told you.”

“Cameras shouldn’t be allowed. You’ve paid for the place. Ridiculous,” another penned.

Later that night, the couple shared an update in another TikTok video and said they “decided to leave the accommodation”. Kriss shared: “It really spooked us and the safety of the family, three little kids is what meant the most.”

His partner Kate went on to explain: “Airbnb fully supported this, they said that we could move and that they would find accommodation equivalent to where we were staying, which was a four-bedroom, placed central to Perth CB.”

The couple explained that the booking company had also promised to pay for a night’s stay in a hotel, while an alternative Airbnb was found for the family, at no additional cost. However, things took a turn when it was found that an alternative Airbnb would cost thousands more for the family.

“Once they found that out, they went quiet,” Kriss claimed. The family were left unsure of where they would be staying for the duration of their trip, as Kate said, “We are yet to find out”.

“They backtracked and Kriss has been dealing with them all day, customer service has not been the best and they’ve gone very quiet,” she added. The couple then asked for help from TikTok users as they said, “They’ve gone quiet, so we need you to be loud.”

Thankfully, by the next day, Airbnb had covered their costs, and they were able to find alternative accommodation with no extra fee. While they were relieved to have it figured out, Kriss said in a video update: “They’ve jumped on board but it’s such a shame that it took the power of social media to reach Airbnb for them to do what is the right thing.

“We’re lucky that we’ve got some followers who are really happy to help us out, but someone who maybe doesn’t have that following, I dread to think the situation they could’ve still been left in now.”

On the Airbnb website, it states: “We do not allow hosts to have security cameras or recording devices that monitor indoor spaces in homes, even if these devices are turned off. Hidden cameras have always been prohibited and will continue to be prohibited. Hosts are allowed to have exterior security cameras, noise decibel monitors and smart devices in homes as long as they comply with the below guidelines and applicable laws.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Airbnb Australia and New Zealand told the Mirror: “Airbnb does not allow hosts to have security cameras or recording devices that monitor indoor spaces in homes, even if these devices are turned off.

“Airbnb has provided the guest with a full refund and assisted them in rebooking alternate accommodation.

“In the rare event a host or guest feels unsafe or experiences a safety-related issue during an active reservation, we have a safety team that can be reached via our 24 Hour Safety Line, which is available to all users.”

What horrifying videos tell us about the killing of Charlie Kirk

Multiple videos from the scene show graphic details about the killing of conservative commentator and political organizer Charlie Kirk at a university in Utah on Wednesday.

Authorities are now poring over the video as part of the investigation into Kirk’s killing. They are still looking for the gunman after briefly detaining and then freeing two people of interest.

A man speaks into a microphone as a crowd watches.

The shooting

Kirk drew a large crowd to the event at Utah Valley University. He was gunned down at 12:20 p.m. while talking about mass shootings.

“Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?” an audience member asks.

“Counting or not counting gang violence?” Kirk responds.

Almost immediately, Kirk is shot in the neck. One video shows blood pouring from the wound as he falls over. As the crowd realizes what has taken place, people are heard screaming and running away.

“This incident occurred with a large crowd around. There was one shot fired, one victim,” Beau Mason, commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, said on Wednesday afternoon. “While the suspect is at large, we believe this was a targeted attack toward one individual.”

People run off on a lawn.

Members of the crowd screamed and ran after a gunshot was heard and Kirk toppled from his chair.

The shooter is believed to have fired from the roof of a building at Kirk as he participated in the public event in the student courtyard, where around 3,000 people were gathered, according to the Department of Public Safety.

A source familiar with the investigation told The Times that a bullet struck Kirk’s carotid artery.

Moments later, many in the crowd begin running.

Jeffrey Long, chief of the university’s Police Department, said six of the force’s officers, including some plainclothes officers embedded in the crowd, were working with members of Kirk’s personal security team to manage safety at the event.

The shooter

Several videos show a person who appears to be dressed in black moving on the roof of university’s Losee Center moments before the gunfire.

Mason, of the Utah Department of Public Safety, said authorities were analyzing campus security video that showed a suspect in dark clothing who might have shot at Kirk from a roof.

The gunman is believed to have killed Kirk from at least 200 yards away using some type of sniper rifle, law enforcement sources told The Times.

A woman covers her mouth with one hand.

Allison Hemingway-Witty cries after the shooting.

(Tess Crowley / Deseret News / AP)

Some experts who have seen videos believe that the assailant probably had experience with firearms, given the precision with which the single shot was fired from a considerable distance.

Witness Seth Teasdale told the Salt Lake Tribune that the gunshot was so loud it echoed across the pavilion where Kirk was speaking.

Brynlee Holms told the Tribune the shot was “super loud,” which added to the panic in the crowd.

“I just heard a clear shot, ‘Boom!’ And that was it,” another witness told KUTV.

Police detained George Zinn and Zachariah Qureshi as suspects and later released them after determining they had no ties to the shooting, according to the Department of Public Safety. The manhunt for the shooter continues.

What is not shown

No videos have surfaced showing the gunman firing the shot or fleeing the scene.

Mason said authorities were reviewing closed-circuit television video. “We’re analyzing it, but it is security camera footage, so you can kind of guess what the quality of that is,” Mason said. “We do know [the suspect was] dressed in all dark clothing. We don’t have a much better description.”

Utah Gov. Stephen Cox called the attack “a political assassination” and said Wednesday was “a dark day for our state” and “a tragic day for our nation.”

Law enforcement was working “multiple active crime scenes” including the area Kirk was shot as well as the locations where the suspect and victim traveled, according to the Public Safety Department. They did not provide any further information on the suspect.

The FBI created a tip line to gather information that may lead to the shooter’s arrest.

This Morning star’s ‘drink is spiked’ with horrifying result

This Morning star Ashley James has recalled a scary incident where she suspects her drink was spiked, which left her blacking out and meant she woke with no memory of her night.

Ashley James has recalled a scary incident where she suspected her drink was spiked and ended up blacked out. Detailing the experience, the This Morning star told Mirror: “There have been many occasions where I’ve wondered if I’ve been spiked. But we blame ourselves and think, ‘Maybe I was just drunk.’”

“I remember visiting my brother at university for a night out years ago. I had a total blackout, woke up in my brother’s room and I’d been sick – everywhere,” she said. Ashley continued: “That was a disproportionate reaction to what I drank that evening and I have no memory of the evening itself. It was terrifying.”

The mum-of-two added, “I was really young so I didn’t think about spiking or what I should do in that situation. Like so many others, I blamed myself or simply thought the drinks were stronger than I thought. Luckily, nothing worse has happened.”

In our exclusive chat, the DJ and presenter, 38, admitted she wants to better the world for her children; Alfie, four, and Ada, two, whose dad is partner Tommy Andrews – particularly after some of these terrifying experiences of her own.

“I’m outspoken, but the more you talk about things, the more you can fight for change. There are so many scary things out there, especially as a mother; the thought of my children experiencing things I have – whether it’s trolling or other issues – makes me nervous. The world’s a scary place now.”

On the topic of trolling, something celebrities are all too familiar with, she talks about her experiences on social media and gossip website, Tattle Life, which is now being shut down. The website allows users to post anonymously, but Ashley says the harassment she has encountered on it has made its way into her home life, too.

Ashley James with her partner
Ashley shares her two children with partner Tommy Andrews(Image: Instagram/ashleylouisejames/)

“People don’t realise that it’s not just gossiping and chatting, it’s much darker,” she says. “In my case, someone made a false allegation against me to social services, who came to my door. “I told them that, day or night, if they came to my door they’d only see loved children, so I wasn’t worried. But it does endanger people when their family is involved. It’s scary as it’s entering the real world.”

Ashley continues, “Social services are overstretched as it is, so there should be repercussions for wasting their time. Put bluntly, other children could die if social services’ attention is elsewhere because of these allegations. People need to be accountable. If they’re going to say it online, they should say it with their faces and names made public. They should be as accountable online as they are offline.”

Experiences like this have made Ashley ultra-aware when it comes to educating her children about the internet. “My son is amazing; he’s sweet, sensitive and kind and I never want the world to convince him that those aren’t worthy attributes for men. We definitely need more kind and compassionate boys and men in the world, so that’s what I want to teach him,” she says.

Earlier this year, Ashley took to social media after being told that Alfie may need extra help from the Special Educational Needs department when he begins school. Ashley says she’s trusting her gut.

Ashley James family
They are parents to Alfie, four, and Ada, two(Image: Instagram/ashleylouisejames/)

“The school did a SEN report which didn’t specifically label him or say why he needs extra help, and to be honest, I don’t really mind. I think any parent would welcome extra support for their child. “My role as his mum is to guide him and to trust my instincts, to ensure that he can thrive in a school setting. So, I feel reassured.”

As we chat about creating a better world for her children, Ashley says she’s working with anti-spiking campaign CounterSpike and charity Spike Aware UK to get rid of drink spiking in the future.

Admitting she wants to get rid of the ‘victim blaming’ mentality, Ashley said: “We ask how much they’ve had to drink. Even as parents, especially with daughters, people find themselves saying, ‘You can’t go out like that.’ But you’re equating their outfit to their morals, or their safety.

“The problem – even if it’s well intended – is that it’s telling her that she’s responsible for bad things happening to her, rather than the person doing them,” says Ashley. That’s why she’s pleased that CounterSpike has developed SpikeStixx, which enables people to test their drinks. “It’s a way to reassure your mates they haven’t just drunk too much – to know for sure.

“More than anything, it will hopefully help stop people from doing it. Because, right now, statistics from CounterSpike show that 90% of spiking goes unreported.”

“One day, my son and daughter will be going out into this world without me. I would really like to think that things will improve, and they can do that without fear.”

Ashley is the official ambassador for the launch of CounterSpike’s campaign and its SpikeStixx, which are available to buy at counterspike.com

A make-up artist from Northern Ireland lived through a true horror story while on a family holiday in Tenerife.

Suzy O’Neill went missing for almost an hour and remembers nothing that happened, waking up to a terrifying reality.

Then just 18-years-old when she and her cousin went on a night out that ended in violent vomiting, memory loss and bruises all over her body. Suzy warned fellow holiday-makers that she has had her “fair share of not nice experiences in Tenerife.”

Suzy said “We had had like two drinks I think and next thing I woke up at the side of the road.” Her cousin said she “was missing for basically an hour I could not be found – she was freaking out.” Suzy told her 2,872 TikTok followers: “I’m not like that – like you wouldn’t just lose me like that I’d be with someone I would not go off on my own.”

Then she woke up to a horrific and terrifying sight. She said: “I woke up and this man was standing over me and I was like what the f*** is going on and I was freaking out. He wasn’t really speaking English and then my cousin heard the commotion and came running.”

Her cousin asked her where she had been and Suzy replied “What do you mean where have I been – what the f*** has happened to me?”

That night she was “violently ill” and her dad had to put her on her side and watch her throughout the night. She said the next day she was “covered in bruises.”

She added: “I was projectile vomiting in my sleep but I refused to go to the hospital. I think the reason I was so scared of going to the hospital is that I was so scared that they would tell me that I’d been spiked or this that or the other had happened.”

For the rest of the holiday she stayed close by her dad’s side because she was “terrified”. She added: “I feel like also something that’s not something that’s not spoke about is really how unsafe Tenerife is sometimes – it can be a very dangerous – it’s a lovely place but it also can be very dangerous.”

She said in another instance a man “latched onto my arm and wouldn’ t let me go” in broad daylight in Tenerife. She said he asked in broken English where she was staying, adding he was “very strange”.

She added: “One night I vividly remember sitting in a kebab shop and I caught this man’s attention and he wouldn’t leave. He was standing outside the kebab shop heavily breathing.” In another instance she was a man arrested in a bar and he bit the police man.

Tegan_French commented: “I’m going in August and I’m terrified.” Another chimed in “I’m going in August or July with my mom stepdad and brother! and I’m honestly scared. especially for my brother cause he’s so young and he likes going on the parks.”

It was a night of huge revelations in tonight’s Coronation Street, as it was revealed that Theo’s daughter Millie was hiding a huge secret about her pregnancy.

Millie’s actions come following Theo’s split with her mother, Danielle, after he recently moved on with Todd, as he continued to come to terms with his sexuality.

Due to Theo’s strict religious parents and harrowing upbringing, including conversion therapy, he ended up marrying Danielle and they had two kids together, while Theo continued to hide who he really was.

Danielle and the kids only recently found out the truth, and Millie will go to huge extremes to split the two up.

Coronation Street viewers say it's 'obvious' who is really trying to split up Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton

Tonight it was seemingly ‘confirmed’ Millie was the one behind Theo’s fake dating profile – but it’s not the only thing she was ‘hiding’. It was later confirmed her whole pregnancy is a lie to get her father back home with the mother.

In the episode, Todd and Millie appeared to have a falling out after Millie told Theo Todd said she should go back to live with her mother. Although Todd did suggest this, he didn’t say it in the way Millie made out.

Theo and Todd have been having a number of arguments lately, and in tonight’s episode Theo was seen getting annoyed at Todd as Billy brought up his conversion therapy.

In a later conversation with Todd, referencing their arguments, Millie said: “You’re making my job so much easier,” as Todd questioned: “Your job? Getting him back round the family table?” Seemingly confirming the fake dating profile was also part of her plan.

“Too right, just keep pushing him away Todd, you’re acing it,” Millie responded.

Later on in the episode, Millie was seen speaking to her brother Miles on the phone, while shopping for fake baby bumps. “I’m not a sicko, just desperate to get our family back together,” she said.

Although she’s fooling Todd and Theo, she’s not fooling fans, as one fan penned on X, formerly known as Twitter: The Millie twist in tonight’s #Corrie – I think we all saw that coming,” as a second wrote: “I KNEW Millie was LYING about being pregnant #Corrie.”

A third agreed: “I knew she was faking it – I haven’t liked Millie from the start. Very selfish and incredibly fake. She doesn’t seem to care about Theo’s Self Harm either. #Corrie.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.

Father’s horrifying find in Turkey as son goes missing after being escorted drunk from plane

Ben Crook’s post mortem revealed he had suffering horrendous injuries after ‘falling from height’

A dad tragically died after falling from a height whilst on holiday in Turkey, following his removal from a flight due to drunken behaviour and subsequent separation from his family. The devastating news of his death was only discovered when his father travelled to Turkey to investigate his whereabouts.

Ben Crook, 32, was reported missing after he jetted off to Antalya with his partner Jess Jenkins and their two children on September 23. After consuming alcohol and cocaine, he exhibited erratic behaviour on the flight, shouting at an air steward and smashing both his and Ms Jenkins’ mobiles, according to the inquest.

Upon landing in Turkey on September 24, Mr Crook, from Abertridwr, Caerphilly, was escorted off the plane and separated from Ms Jenkins. She was instructed to leave the airport and took a taxi to their hotel with the children.

The inquest at Gwent Coroner’s Court on Tuesday revealed that Mr Crook never made it to the hotel, reports Wales Online.

Following his son’s disappearance, Mr Crook’s father journeyed to Turkey and uncovered the tragic news that his son had died after falling from a height and sustaining fatal injuries.

A post mortem examination conducted at the Antalya Forensic Institute confirmed that Mr Crook had suffered external injuries and lacerations consistent with a fall. He passed away at Antalya Training and Research Hospital at 2.15am on September 25, the inquest heard.

Following repatriation of Mr Crook’s body to the UK, a further post-mortem examination was performed at Grange University Hospital by Dr Majid Rashid on October 22, revealing that he had suffered severe head injuries, bruising on his upper limbs, cuts, and multiple abrasions to his abdominal wall. A chest incision suggested a tube had been inserted to drain fluid.

The examination also found a fractured skull vault, brain damage, and bleeding, as well as a fractured pelvis on both sides.

Toxicology reports showed the presence of cocaine, alcohol, ketamine, and cocaethylene in Mr Crook’s blood, with ketamine likely administered during treatment.

Dr Rashid determined the cause of death to be a fractured skull and pelvis due to blunt trauma from a fall.

In a statement read aloud in court by senior coroner Caroline Saunders, Ms Jenkins stated that Mr Crook had started drinking before arriving at the airport and purchased duty-free alcohol to consume at their hotel.

Due to a flight delay, the couple began drinking duty-free alcohol, with Ms Jenkins describing her partner as a “nervous flier” but mentioning they were “chatting and joking” before takeoff. During the flight, she revealed that Mr Crook’s demeanour altered and he started yelling at a male steward, demanding booze.

He subsequently smashed both his and Ms Jenkins’ mobiles, leading to him being escorted off the plane and separated from his partner.

Discussing Mr Crook’s substance abuse, Ms Jenkins stated her partner used cocaine recreationally, only indulging when he had been drinking.

Mr Crook’s sister Amy disclosed that her brother had struggled with drugs and alcohol, with his consumption escalating in the months preceding his death.

She also mentioned her brother’s mental health struggles, exacerbated by his drug and alcohol use, but Ms Crook insisted there were no signs he would take his own life, leaving his two children fatherless.

Upon returning from Turkey, Mr Crook’s father discovered a message in his Facebook Messenger spam folder, seemingly from his son, who was trying to ascertain the name of the hotel where his partner was staying. There was an additional message again requesting contact.

Members of Mr Crook’s family received communication from several unidentified individuals in Turkey who claimed they had seen the deceased prior to his death.

One individual who got in touch with Ms Jenkins claimed: “Hello, we have just seen your post about Ben being missing. We saw him on September 24 at lunchtime. He approached me and my husband for help while walking near Kaleici Harbour. He said he smashed up his phone and had brought a new one but it was not ringing for some reason. He used my phone to send a message to his friend and we gave him our number if he needed more help. He looked shaken and hungover. After the Facebook message and ringing his friend, he crossed the harbour and walked, we presumed, to the police station for help.”

Messages later followed from others, which included photographs apparently of Mr Crook lying on the ground at the base of a building.

There were suggestions he fell while smoking on 24 September, but there was no sign of third-party involvement.

Ms Saunders delivered her conclusion: “(Alcohol and drugs) may have caused disorientation and poor judgement but this is insufficient to determine he fell as a result of the drugs he had taken.”

She decided: “I find the fall was an accident, the exact details of which are unknown..”

Her final conclusion read: “On September 24, 2024, Ben Crook fell from height whilst on holiday in Turkey and sustained severe head and pelvic injuries and died on September 25, 2024. The conclusion I reach is that of an accident.”

Final horrifying moments before Pan Am Flight 103 crash – lost contact and grim noise

When Pan Am Flight 103 set off from Heathrow to New York, its passengers and crew were looking forward to returning home to celebrate Christmas – but tragically, they never made it

The Lockerbie bombing where 270 people sadly lost their lives is still the deadliest terror attack in the history of the UK, even though it took place more than 30 yeas ago. It was 21 December, 1988, when the Pan Am Flight 103 from Heathrow to New York exploded just 38 minutes into its flight while travelling over Lockerbie, with the wreckage of the plain raining down on the houses below.

And it wasn’t just the passengers who lost their lives – the small Scottish town lost 11 residents, including a family of four, Jack and Rosalind Somerville and their children, Paul, 12, and Lindsay, 10, who died when a section of the aircraft fell on their home in Sherwood Crescent.

In Lockerbie, residents opened their front doors to see 259 bodies dropping out of the sky, landing on the street in front of them. After the bomb exploded, everything went dark and eerily quiet in the town.

The 243 passengers boarding their pre-Christmas flight at London Heathrow or via Frankfurt in Germany came from 21 countries and ranged in age from two months old to 82. Forty per cent of the 270 total victims were aged 25 or younger, many of them children, while two-thirds were American.

Of the 16 crew onboard the plane, called ‘Clipper Maid of the Seas’, some were returning home to spend the festive season with their families, while others were set to enjoy some last-minute Christmas shopping in New York. They included senior purser Mary Murphy, who hailed from Twickenham and had been flying for over 25 years, and junior purser Milutin Velimirovitch, who had kindly rearranged his schedule to help a friend.

The ill-fated plane heading for New York had landed at noon at London Heathrow that day from Los Angeles, parking at Gate K-14 before pushing back for its flight at 6.04pm and taking off from runway 27R at 6.25pm. Just after 7pm, an air traffic controller at the Scottish Air Traffic Control Centre tried to make contact with the plane to no avail, before a loud noise was heard on its cockpit voice recorder.

Bunty Galloway told The Guardian she had been watching TV just like any other night when she heard a strange noise and opened her front door to see two young women fall in front of her house, with the body of a child already lying at the foot of her steps.

Immediate aftermath in Lockerbie

The bomb had exploded at 7.03pm, when the plane was 31,000 ft above Lockerbie. Radar showed that eight minutes after the explosion, the plane’s wreckage had spread to one nautical mile, with a British Airways pilot flying from Glasgow to Carlisle contacting the Scottish authorities after seeing a huge fire on the ground.

Investigators later found signs of an explosion on one of the baggage containers from the forward hold. Scottish police and FBI agents would learn the bomb, containing 350 to 450 of Semtex, had been concealed in a Toshiba radio cassette player inside a brown Samsonite suitcase, which also contained various items of clothing purchased in Malta.

Records in Frankfurt suggested an unaccompanied bag had been routed from a flight from Malta to Frankfurt, where it had been loaded onto the feeder flight to London and onto the subsequent ill-fated flight to New York. After a painstaking investigation in 2001, Libyan intelligence officer Abdelbaset al-Megrahi was found guilty of 270 counts of murder in connection with the bombing and sentenced to life in prison. He was released on compassionate grounds in 2009 and died from prostrate cancer in 2011, always denying his involvement in the bombing.

In December 2020, the US Attorney General announced new charges against Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-Marimi, a former Libyan intelligence operative, for his role in the bombing, with a trial set to take place in Washington in May.
