We got the lowdown on Hollyoaks villain Clare Devine from two co-stars working closely with actress Gemma Bissix currently on the Channel 4 soap.

Clare made her big return months ago, as part of a dark trafficking storyline involving other characters and some of the teenagers in the village. Clare’s sister Grace black and half-brother Rex Gallagher were also caught up in the drama, with us soon learning all about Rex’s past and backstory.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Rex actor Jonny Labey praised the move to explore what Rex faced when he was younger, and how it shaped him – leading to him taking a criminal path. Jonny discussed how fans finally saw why he was the way he was, calling him “a product of his environment”.

He added how Rex’s “unexpected” romance with Ste Hay changed things, and gave Rex something to push for. That said, Jonny loves the drama his role brings, and was thrilled to get to work with co-star Gemma as she made her comeback.

He wasn’t the only one as newcomer Ethaniel Davy, whose character Jacob Omari took centre stage in the sad trafficking plot, also shared how much he loved working with the soap icon. Jonny shared: “Another long-lost sister! It’s honestly the best working with Gemma.

“She is such a joy, she brings such a bouncy energy to set. She gets stuck in to storylines, she holds no prisoners, she’s just a ruthless and fantastic character. It really brings in that female power character to the show.”

Ethaniel agreed: “Gemma is so lovely. Clare can be sympathetic as well though. She’s not just pure evil, she has a soft side and a bit of a backstory, and she has another side to her. Sometimes she’s got the wrong intentions but for the right reasons.”

Actor Ethaniel was thrilled to rejoin the show recently, having first joined earlier in the year. He told us: “It’s definitely a new experience for me. It’s lovely, I’ve enjoyed it.

“It’s great and I am very grateful. We’ve just got to see how the storyline goes!” On the fans backing his character, he went on: “It was lovely because to get the role was a big thing, and then it was brilliant to keep going after a few months of not working.

“I got called back, and so getting good feedback was great to hear.” He also praised co-star Jonny for “showing him the ropes” and looking after him on set.

As for Jonny, he welcomed the changes to his character as fans have gotten to see a different side to him. He told us: “You have got this thing with Rex where he is a product of his environment and unfortunately, even since doing the storyline, the sex trafficking storyline, it’s way more common than people realise.

“It seems like such a wild storyline but it’s something that affects so many people in the UK, specifically the younger generation. It’s that passed-on trauma. I’m glad we’ve got to see these sides to Rex now.

“We can understand where it all comes form because when I first joined it was six months of arguments, fights and him being a villain. It was cool but he’s got a nice undertone now. The love interest with Ste has taken him by surprise.

“But it has shown him there is a way out from that life. I think that roundedness now is really beautiful to play. He still doesn’t back down easy and he’s not a push-around though. It is just a dream role honestly, to play a character like that. I have always wanted to play a troubled character with depth.”

His comments about Ste, and Rex turning his life around could be a hint at what’s ahead with a happy future. But with Rex currently in prison, will he find a way back to the village?

Hollyoaks breached Ofcom rules over promotion of fintech app in one episode

Ofcom has found that Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks breached its rules by promoting a financial technology app in an episode of the soap

Hollyoaks has fallen foul of two Ofcom regulations following its promotion of a financial technology application within the programme, the watchdog has determined. An instalment of the Channel 4 drama came under scrutiny after ClearScore, the show’s sponsor, received both spoken and visual mentions during the broadcast.

The broadcasting authority concluded that the product integration violated two separate guidelines – firstly Rule 9.10 concerning excessive prominence, which stipulates that “references to placed products, services and trade marks must not be unduly prominent”.

The second infringement involved Rule 9.9 regarding promotional content, which declares that “references to placed products, services and trade marks must not be promotional”.

The controversial product placement featured in the February 18 episode, where Kieron Richardson’s character Ste Hay discussed the application with his son Lucas Hay, portrayed by Oscar Curtis, whilst considering purchasing a laptop.

Viewers witnessed Ste retrieving his mobile device, displaying the ClearScore application prominently on screen whilst demonstrating its various features and capabilities before telling Lucas: “See this? They’ve shown me some options – based on my financial situation and it looks like I can get you that laptop for your studies.”

He continued: “I really want you to make a go of this, Lucas – (gesturing to the ClearScore app on his phone) and these guys are going to help me make it happen.”

British Soap Awards 2025 – London
The controversial product placement featured in the February 18 episode(Image: PA Wire/PA Images)

The report revealed that the broadcaster acknowledged the references were made due to a product placement agreement, separate from an arrangement with the company sponsoring the soap.

Channel 4 informed the regulator that the references were editorially justified and clarified that “part of the sponsorship and product placement agreements, potential integrations into existing storylines were proposed to ClearScore by the programme editorial team, in consultation with the programme compliance team.”

ClearScore had no editorial input into the storyline of the programme”. Channel 4 further explained that Ste’s character was central to the plot at the time, as he was attempting to rebuild his family after the death of a partner and spending a year in a coma.

The broadcaster added: “part of this storyline (was) his return to work to support his family, which (included) rebuilding his relationship with son Lucas and providing for him”.

The investigation concluded that the references exceeded its editorial justifications for the storyline and became more of a “demonstration” of how to use the app rather than a passing remark. Ofcom also determined that the references were promotional as they described and demonstrated how to use the app, thereby promoting the brand.

A Channel 4 representative has acknowledged the regulator’s verdict, stating: “We acknowledge Ofcom’s decision and will review its findings carefully. Our compliance responsibilities are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to engage with Ofcom and our partners to ensure our content remains compliant”.

Emmerdale’s John Middleton joins Hollyoaks to play show’s ‘most evil character ever’

A far cry from his role as Emmerdale’s gentle-hearted vicar Ashley Thomas, John Middleton’s new character will be an evil mob boss as he returns to the telly on a rival soap

John Middleton, who played Emmerdale’s kind-hearted vicar Ashley Thomas, is set to resurface in a rival soap, as its “most evil character” ever. The 71-year-old actor, who left Emmerdale in 2017 after his character’s harrowing dementia battle, will play a mob boss when he makes his debut in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

His new role will take some getting used to for soap fans, who will remember John as the lovable clergyman, whose heartbreaking death moved viewers to tears. He was part of the ITV soap for more than 20 years, having first played PC John Jarvis briefly in 1994.

He returned with a permanent role in 1997, when the caring and sympathetic vicar Ashley Thomas joined the cast. Ashley’s slow deterioration after his dementia diagnosis saw him lose his memory, no longer able to recognise his wife, Laurel and their children.

But there will be no sign of gentle soul Ashley, when John’s character Fraser makes his entrance. A source said: “People usually think of Ashley when they see John but that won’t be happening any more, Fraser is about as far away to the kindly vicar you can get.”

John's new role will be a far-cry from his character Ashley Thomas, who he played for 20 years
John’s new role will be a far-cry from his character Ashley Thomas, who he played for 20 years

The insider explained to the Sun: “He’s possibly the most evil character Hollyoaks has ever had – and for a village plagued by serial killers, that’s saying something. Fraser will make his entrance very soon, and he’s got more than one connection to the village with his twisted family already there.”

And the new character’s connection to the village will soon be revealed as the father of notorious villain, Fraser Black, played by Jesse Birdsall. The cold, ruthless gangster terrorised the village for around a year, before being murdered in 2014.

Following a ‘whodunnit’ storyline that went on for several months, his killer was finally unveiled in July 2014. To everyone’s shock, he was shot by his own stepson, Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham), in a bid to protect his family.

He is also the grandfather of dodgy Hollyoaks residents Clare Devine, Grace Black and Rex Gallagher. His first meeting with Clare – played by Gemma Bissix – is described as “explosive” with a “real battle” set to ensue.

Clare has been carrying on the family tradition of being an absolute terror recently. She was found out to have been running a secret exploitation ring in the village she used to live in, along with her husband, DI Banks (Drew Cain).

Unaware of Clare’s role in the scheme, Grace got involved too, going so far as to groom teenagers with her brother Rex, played by Jonny Labey. Her ‘niece’ Franke Osborne even fell victim, with her dad Darren heartbreakingly finding out.

Vulnerable teenage characters Frankie and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) have found themselves in an exploitative situation after they were targeted by criminals and bombarded with attention and gifts. Once lured in by the gang, the friends were encouraged to become addicted to drugs.

Their new addictions meant they had to first sell drugs in order to feed their habit, and then this turned into sexual exploitation. The village turned on Grace when they discovered what she’d done.

Brookside’s Jacqui Dixon star makes huge U-turn after ‘jealousy’ over EastEnders rival

Rita Simons has joined the cast of Hollyoaks in an explosive new role. But upon her arrival, Alex Fletcher admits she was awestruck by her co-star – and even a little jealous.

Alex Fletcher has made a huge confession about one of her Hollyoaks co-stars
Alex Fletcher has made a huge confession about one of her Hollyoaks co-stars

Alex Fletcher admits that Rita Simons’ arrival in Hollyoaks left her feeling envious – but she can’t wait to film more scenes with the former EastEnders star.

Diane Hutchinson has had the sort of 12 months you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. She’s faced divorce, relapsed into alcoholism, learned that her teenager Ro wishes to transition and dated a bent copper who turned out to be running a child exploitation ring on the side.

So it’s no wonder Hollyoaks actress Alex Fletcher has blocked it all out. “She’s had a traumatic year,” laughs Alex, who is celebrating her 15th year on the soap.

“I genuinely put it to bed as soon as I walk out of the studio because it would send me under. I just try and bury it. But there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

This week sees Diane and Tony (Nick Pickard) grow closer after the stress of Ro’s court case dissipates. However, Marie (Rita Simons) is not giving up on her future with Tony without putting up a fight.

“Diane and Tony and the family have kind of pulled together as a unit again, which is a bit of a feather in Diane’s cap because she still loves him to bits,” explains Alex. “Her loyalties and her heart lie with Tony and it would be nice to work with Nick again because I’ve hardly seen him.”

Fans will enjoy scenes where both Marie and Diane turn up in the same dress to celebrate after Ro avoids being sent to a juvenile detention centre. “That brings the family closer together again, so they celebrate and Marie and Diane turn up in the same dress,” laughs Alex.

“And Diane is like, ‘Well, I ain’t going home and getting changed love, you can go home!’ All the dynamics and blended families have been so good to explore. I think there’s going to be a lot more of that.”

Not only is Alex looking forward to being reunited with work husband Nick, she also wants more scenes with EastEnders icon Rita. “She’s brilliant,” says Alex, 48.

“Not going to lie, I was a bit jealous of her when she started. She’s so good, it’s nice to just be working in and around women of our age. Strong women. It’s fabulous.”

However, there is fresh trouble brewing for Diane: Clare Devine, played by Gemma Bissix, is coming for her. Unknown to Diane, Clare was married to DI Alistair Banks, the corrupt copper Diane had a fling with. Now he’s dead, Clare believes Diane is sitting on cash that belongs to her.

“Diane’s seemingly in a good place, though I don’t think she’s realised the backlash from DI Banks,” explains Alex. “Diane should be fearing for her life. And then, obviously, she’s also being accused of having all this cash that’s gone missing…”

Alex has now teased more troubled times ahead for her character, particularly with former EastEnders actress Rita Simons' arrival

Clare has been away from Hollyoaks for 12 years, but Alex is thrilled to have her back. “She’s just a great girl,” she says. “She’s a good energy – she really cares about the show and she 110% gets it.”

Before playing Diane on Hollyoaks , Alex made her name as Brookside ’s mouthy Jacqui Dixon, who married to become Jacqui Farnham. Alex loves acting but she’d also relish a stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after cheering on Nick back in 2023.

She even wants to try a witchetty grub or two. “ It’s one of my favourite shows,” says Alex. “I am at an age where I don’t really care what people think about me anymore.

I’d have a good go. I’d be scared of the water – the water things would freak me out. But I could eat the stuff and I’d be good in a team.”

However, Strictly Come Dancing is where Alex’s heart lies. The star was in the audience of the show last year to support her pal Shayne Ward and loved watching the dancers close up.

“If I had to choose, it would be Strictly all day,” she says. “I danced as a kid and I had the privilege to go and see it last year and I buzzed off seeing the dancers. I just think it’s a skill. Not that I’ve danced in 35 to 40 years.”

Alex even knows who she’d like to dance with – Aljaž Škorjanec. “I love my fitness, I would just love it, 100%. I love Aljaž Škorjanec and I met him after the show and he was just dead friendly and brilliant,” she says. “He’d be brilliant.”

Coronation Street legend Jack P Shepherd has opened up about his feelings after he missed out on a gong at the British Soap Awards as he admitted “it was a shock”

Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd has expressed his “shock” at missing out on a British Soap Award last weekend (Saturday, May 31).

The actor, who has played David Platt since he was just 12 years old in 2000, is a key part of the Platt family and recently celebrated his 25th anniversary on the show.

Jack’s character has had several near-death experiences on Corrie, including a terrifying incident in 2003 when Richard Hillman attempted to kill the Platt family by driving them into a canal.

Despite these dramatic moments, Jack was nominated for Best Comedy Performance at this year’s British Soap Awards, alongside Patsy Palmer (EastEnders), Nicola Wheeler (Emmerdale) and Nicole Barber-Lane (Hollyoaks).

Having previously won Villain of the Year in 2008 and Best Actor in 2018, Jack was hoping to add a third award to his collection, reports Leicestershire Live.

In response to his On The Sofa co-star, Colson Smith, Jack joked: “I’ve been trying for years to get a nod for comedy because I’ve never been nominated for it before.”

Reflecting on his disappointment at not winning, he admitted: “It was a shock.

“If you watched it the other night, you will notice that my reaction is genuine. And I’m completely blown away that I didn’t win.”

In an earlier episode of the show, Jack had admitted he would have been especially “devastated” if he had lost out on the award to Patsy Palmer.

Despite the potential disappointment, the 37 year old emphasised that there was never any “hatred or rivalry” when watching stars from rival soaps take to the stage for their prizes.

Corrie’s Jack P. Shepherd certainly didn’t hide his shock during the recent ceremony, as Coronation Street actors left with little to toast, compared to EastEnders which dominated the evening by sweeping up seven awards.

Only David Neilson managed to snag a trophy for the Weatherfield regulars at the eventful night.

Coronation Street returns this evening (Friday, June 6) at 8pm on ITV.

It’s set to be a huge series of Celebrity Race Across the World as a Hollyoaks and Derry Girls star is the latest celeb to join the line-up, according to reports

Dylan Llewellyn

A former Hollyoaks star is the latest famous face to sign up for BBC’s Celebrity Race Across the World, according to reports. Fans of the Liverpool based soap will remember Dylan Llewellyn as cheeky character Martin “Jono” Johnson, as he’s set to appear on screens once again.

Since leaving the soap in 2016, the star has appeared in a number of high profile TV shows including Derry Girls, Big Boys and Beyond Paradise.

Dylan’s latest venture will now see him racing across the globe with a team mate in hopes to beat his competitors, without the help of a phone or credit card.

The Mirror has contacted a representative of the show for comment.

Despite his TV success, Dylan previously admitted to going through a rough patch in his career. While chatting on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, he shared his near brush with giving up acting: “I was struggling a bit and I was almost like going to give up on acting, you know?”

“And I just wasn’t getting any auditions, and yeah, it was just a really quiet period and I was working in a coffee shop and just grafting because that’s like the realities of acting. You’ve got to graft, you know, it’s a really tough industry.”

He revealed to the Guardian that his breakthrough role as James in Derry Girls came just in time. “It was emotional, really. I was about to give up. It really meant the world to me. It saved me,” he said.

Molly and Tyler
Molly Rainford and Tyler West have reportedly also signed up(Image: Getty Images for Lionsgate UK)

Earlier this week it was reported that Molly Rainford and Tyler West have signed up for Celebrity Race Across the World, according to reports.

The EastEnders star, 24, and Kiss FM presenter, 29, who met on BBC dance show Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, are said to have already filmed the smash-hit series in which a bunch of celebrities partake in an epic race across the world without their phones or credit cards to help.

The last series, which aired last summer saw stars, including Kelly Brook, Scott Mills, Jeff Brazier and Kola Bokinni race across South America.

Speaking on the reported signing of the Strictly couple, a source told The Sun: “Molly and Tyler are a huge coup for the show. They’re popular with millions of viewers from their stints on Strictly, and Molly will bring in loads of EastEnders fans too.”

Molly and Tyler’s relationship blossomed during the Strictly Live Tour in 2023, and things have been going from strength to strength ever since.

Hollyoaks HayRay future teased for Lucas and Dillon – but there’s ‘conflict’ ahead

Hollyoaks fans want Lucas Hay and Dillon Ray, known as HayRay, to get together permanently and have a future on the Channel 4 soap, and now the stars playing them have dropped hints

Fans hoping for a HayRay reunion on Hollyoaks could be in luck according to the stars playing the pair.

Lucas Hay and Dillon Ray have been on and off for a while now, and every time it seems like they’re back together something gets in the way. At a time where both characters are facing traumatic events in their lives, fans are hoping the pair will lean on each other and get through it all.

But will HayRay, as they are known to adoring fans, finally get their romance back on track and be together? Cast members Nathaniel Dass and Oscar Curtis spoke exclusively to The Mirror about the big scenes ahead that could see the pair finally happy.

While Lucas actor Oscar joked it may be short-lived, he did say he was sure there was happier times ahead for the on/off couple. With fans sure they are meant to be together, Dillon star Nathaniel teased there would be a “storm brewing” and “conflict” ahead, but that it could be the moment the pair get things on track.

Of course we requested to speak to the pair together, with them agreeing it was a must. Speaking at the British Soap Awards 2025, they initially remained coy over whether HayRay were back.

Nathaniel said: “We can’t tell you that,” with Oscar jibing: “You’d ruin the fun.” Nathaniel then explained: “The beauty of Lucas and Dillon is you don’t know. It’s amazing when we are together and it’s crushing when we’re not, and I think thats’ fun.

“We can’t say what happens and what doesn’t but we know it’s exciting.” Oscar went on: “There’s always something brewing, there’s always a storm. The fans want the calm but the storm is always fun, and it makes it work.”

On the couple being so on and off, Nathaniel told us: “It’s the ups and the downs as well. When one character is up the other one is down, and when you think one character’s ready for a relationship, the other one’s not. That’s where the chaos works and where it shows, and it’s hard as they are completely different characters and so they’re never on the same page.”

On whether there is a future for HayRay, Oscar teased: “I’m sure there will be.” Nathaniel then shared: “Let’s hope so. It will be lovely to see, even if it’s only for a little bit,” as Oscar joked: “Yeah, at least two weeks.”

Joking aside, Oscar and Nathaniel are keen to see their characters reconcile for good and make their relationship work. Nathaniel said: “We had it for a little bit and hopefully can get back to that.”

Oscar has been keeping an eye on the fan reaction too, before feeding back to his co-star about what fans are saying. He told us: “I’m on social media every day. If I see something I don’t like I’m like, ‘never mind’.” Nathaniel said it was “nice to hear the positive stuff” fans share about the couple.

With that Oscar declared: “Hashtag HayRay,” with his pal adding: “HayRay forever.” Oscar then revealed “conflict” would be ahead on the show with Dillon agreeing, but both stars confirmed fans will see the characters together a lot more, no doubt sparking hopes the pair will finally make it work.

Nathaniel told us: “There’s conflict but there’s a lot more. As characters we haven’t spent a lot of time on screen together but you are definitely gonna see a lot more of us together after this.

“There’s the calming down and processing of what’s happened, and then you’ll see a lot more of them.” Oscar concluded: “Let’s put it this way, HayRay might be back for now.”

Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4’s streaming service now, while it also airs Mondays to Wednesdays on E4 at 7PM. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .

EastEnders’ Diane Parish teases fans British Soap Awards behind-the-scenes snaps

EastEnders icon Diane Parish took to social media over the weekend to share a fun-fuelled video of highlights from the 2025 British Soap Awards – which did not give away any of the winners

Diane Parish was in a celebratory mood on Saturday night as she joined her EastEnders castmates and headed to Hackney for the British Soap Awards 2025. The 55-year-old soap icon, famous for playing Denise Fox on the BBC show since 2006, had been on the long list for one of the show categories.

The star had been initially nominated for the Best Leading Performer gong, but did not advance to the second round of nominations for the prestigious award. Instead, EastEnders co-stars Lacey Turner and Kellie Bright were nominated for the gong alongside Emmerdale stars Beth Cordingly and Eden Taylor-Draper.

Stars from Hollyoaks and Coronation Street were also at the glitzy awards show on Saturday night, which was hosted by singing sensation and cruise ship enthusiast Jane McDonald. The full list of winners was announced on Saturday night, but some fans are waiting to find out who took home which prize when highlights from the ceremony are broadcast on ITV on Thursday night.

With this in mind, Diane took to social media on Sunday to share her own highlights from the night, which did not give anything away. She shared a two-and-a-half-minute-long video from the celebrations, which included footage of her partying with fellow soap stars before, during and after the event.

Uploading the footage to her main grid, Diane wrote: “NO SPOILERS for those who don’t wanna know. But I am sooooo PROUD of everyone who works on @bbceastenders What a night!”

Clips showed her laughing and chatting with co-stars, encouraging members of the public in the live audience to cheer, spotlighting Anita Dobson in the crowd, and partying at the after party. Soap stars were thrown into a panic at the party, however, as the after-show venue was hit by a bomb hoax.

The event was held at London’s Hackney Town Hall after the main awards. But attendees were suddenly asked to leave the venue shortly before 1am after the event had reportedly received a bomb threat.

“We all got evacuated just before 1am. No reason was given at first and security came round and told us we had to leave immediately,” a source told The Mirror – recounting the nerves shredding experience.

“As we all waited in the street outside, security told us there had been a bomb threat. We weren’t allowed back in the building so people started making their way home.”

In a video shared with The Mirror, some of TV’s biggest soap stars can be seen waiting outside the venue as more evacuate – with the likes of EastEnders’ Tameka Empson and former Hollyoaks star Emmett J Scanlan among them.

A show source also told The Mirror: “Owing to a security alert after the recording of the awards, it was necessary to evacuate the after party venue. Everyone was cleared from the building safely.”

Meanwhile, fans of soaps took to social media to slam ITV for failing to broadcast the event live – with many annoyed that they would have to wait until Thursday before being able to see who would take to the stage.

Taking to X to slam the delay in broadcast, one fan raged: “It’s ridiculous that the British Soap Awards isn’t live… there’s more hype for the soap stars arriving outside for something not even airing on tv for another week than there is the Britain’s Got Talent final… sort it out for next year please @itv.”

The British Soap Awards 2025 will be broadcast via ITV1 and ITVX on Thursday 5 June 2025 at 8pm.

Hosted by Jane McDonald, telly favourites Sir David Jason and Larry Lamb presented awards at London’s Hackney Empire.

Hollyoaks star marries fiance she met on a plane – watched by emotional C4 co-star

HOLLYOAKS star Caroline Koziol has tied the knot in a stunning countryside wedding.

The actress, well known for playing Katja on the Channel 4 soap, wed businessman Phil Thornett in front of family and friends.

Rory Douglas Speed – who played Joel Dexter on the show – was amongst those there to watch her happy moment.

Caroline is thought to have met Phil on a plane and fell head over heels – choosing to keep their romance out of the limelight.

The actress’ first prominent role was in 2019, when she appeared as Mariana in Line of Duty.

Caroline then played a Polish immigrant smuggled into England on Hollyoaks for a number of months in 2021.

She became close to Rory during her time in the village and describes him as her ‘brother from another mother’.

Since then she has appeared in over 20 Bollywood films and she has become a TikTok sensation – with millions of views per video.

On Hollyoaks Caroline was the unsuspecting van driver of the laptops that Brad King, Warren Fox and Felix Westwood were planning to steal.

She was directed into a garage as part of their ploy – where she was tied up, leaving her terrified.

In a scuffle Katja managed to escape and jumped in the van – but managed to reverse it into Maxine – knocking her unconscious.

Hollyoaks – cast member cull

HOLLYOAKS beauty Chelsee Healey has dropped the biggest hint yet she’s been axed from the soap – yet what’s happening at the Channel 4 show?

Earlier this year, the Channel 4 soap was forced to address the cull of cast members.

It came after The Sun was first to report Hollyoaks bosses plan to kill off a whopping 20 cast members.

Now Chelsee, who recently took time away from her role as Goldie McQueen to give birth to her second daughter, has now made a cryptic move on X.

The Manchester lass, 36, re-posted a picture of her character crying to her page.

It came after Stephanie Waring, famed for her 28-year-long role as Cindy Cunningham, confirmed that soap bosses had axed her as part of the 20-person strong cast cull.

Another big name set to quit for good is popstar turned soap star Jamelia.

The soap’s resident hunk and TV favourite Owen Warner has also left the show amid the cuts with fans left devastated to say goodbye to his character Romeo Nightingale.

Jamie Lomas has also quit the show and will depart his Warren Fox role soon.

Haiesha Mistry famed for her role as Yasmine Maalik has also left after seven years.

Hollyoaks fans ‘work out’ second death twist as sick exploitation gang exposed

DI Alistair Banks’ sick exploitation gang has finally been exposed and the corrupt copper has seemingly met a grisly end in Hollyoaks but fans think he’s not the only one

Dodger Savage
Hollyoaks fans are concerned Dodger Savage has been killed off

Hollyoaks fans have all said the same thing after the latest “insane” episode.

During Wednesday’s (May 28) dramatic episode, which is available to watch on Channel 4’s website, corrupt copper DI Alistair Banks (Drew Cain) put the lives of Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence), Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) and Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) in more jeopardy.

Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) told Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) about a private auction site he’s sure DI Banks will be using to sell the teens.

At The Loft, DI Banks started the bidding with Vicky and Rex and Dodger tried to be the highest bidders but to no avail. However, Dillon assured Frankie that he had a plan and tried to create a distraction.

Dodger figured out their location and called for back up and an oblivious DI Banks called his mysterious wife to inform her that they’ll be on the move with their money soon.

Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) was horrified to find his boyfriend Rex bidding on Dillon and demanded answers and Rex finally told Ste thetruth that he was part of the gang and begged for forgiveness but Ste cut all ties with him, labelling him a predator.

The lights got cut off at The Loft and an armed DI Banks went to search the area. He caught Dodger in the act and passed him onto his cronies to deal with him.

Dillon, Frankie and Vicky found weapons and hid from Banks. Vicky made a distraction as Frankie attempted to unlock the door but DI Banks caught her. All the teens fired their guns and DI Banks collapsed to the floor.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, after watching the dramatic episode, one fan penned: “Insane episode omg. #Hollyoaks” Another added: “What an episode!!! #hollyoaks.”

Hollyoaks legend signs up for huge new reality show on BBC after quitting soap

HOLLYOAKS legend Jamie Lomas has signed up for BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef after quitting the Channel 4 soap.

Jamie, 50, is best known for his long-running role as bad boy Warren Fox – but now he’s trading street brawls for saucepans in the hit cooking competition.

Filming has already wrapped, and insiders say viewers will get to see a very different side to the actor.

A source told The Sun: “Jamie was looking to do something where fans could meet the real him – not just Hollyoaks hardman Warren Fox!

“He’s actually quite good in the kitchen and he’s really competitive too. It’s already been filmed but he’s not telling anyone how far he got.”

Grace Dent will be judging alongside John Torode, replacing Gregg Wallace after he was accused of “lewd and inappropriate behaviour” on the MasterChef set.

Jamie will join the likes of Love Island star Chris Hughes, Blue singer Antony Costa, Corrie actress Katie McGlynn and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Ginger Johnson when the hit show returns later this year.

The BBC has been contacted for comment.

Jamie has also made headlines for his offbeat acting choices, including a divisive role in Jafaican, the Peter Andre-fronted film that raised eyebrows among critics and fans alike.

While the soap star hasn’t come under fire, Peter wears a dreadlock wig and puts on a Jamaican accent in toe-curling scenes.

Jamie is set to appear in a film alongside Katie Price too, where he plays Jack The Ripper.

And he’s going to make a shock return to Hollyoaks, as excitement for its 30th anniversary ramps up.

Jamie quit the soap last year after a stint spanning almost two decades.

Kym Marsh gushes over ex husband Jamie Lomas’ new baby after he welcomes daughter with new fiance

Viewers watched his character Warren flee abroad after leaving Mercedes McQueen behind with her children, unwilling to force them all to live on the run.

Jamie briefly returned last month for a flashback episode, which we were first to reveal

But will return for ANOTHER short stint on the show, which will no doubt delight fans.

A source told us: “Jamie’s returning for a limited stint later this month.

“He loves the show and could fit it in so jumped at the chance. It will see

“Warren return to the village in the present day but who will he come face to face with and what will happen?

“It’s definitely going to be a treat for fans.”
