MAFS star calls out ‘lack of respect’ as groom makes ex admission

Married at First Sight viewers said they ‘feel bad’ for one star after recent revelations

Married At First Sight viewers shared their concern after one of the brides accused her husband of being dishonest about a former partner.

The American version of the beloved reality programme is currently broadcasting on E4. Brand new episodes from its 19th series air weekdays at 8pm on the channel, and are also available to stream on Channel 4.

In a subtle departure from other iterations of the show, viewers follow just five couples from Austin, who have committed themselves to complete strangers. While some pairings are moving forward steadily, others are proving considerably more turbulent.

Wednesday’s (May 27) episode saw the couples mark a significant milestone. A full month had passed since they all walked down the aisle, meaning it was also one month since they first laid eyes on one another.

The couples organised a diverse array of activities to commemorate the occasion, with Pat and Rhonda rising early to watch a live space launch on their laptop. Meanwhile, Josh arranged to go skydiving with his wife Jalyn, reports OK!

Later, Josh struggled to rewrite his vows, revealing it had taken him four days to compose his original speech. The pair eventually made up, however tensions were soon to reach boiling point following an incident that occurred off camera.

As the episode drew to a close and the credits began rolling, a heated row between the two was broadcast. Jalyn revealed they had been socialising with some of Josh’s friends when the topic of ex-partners somehow arose.

Footage from a camera positioned within their apartment shows them arriving home in the middle of a heated debate. Josh tells her: “And it’s just like no. He didn’t say that Jayln and my ex are similar, he said that I similarly jumped into this like I jumped into it with my ex.

And then the way I explained it was like ‘Duh I jumped into this, I got married.’ So that’s where Peter said the similarities are. And that’s what brought up the whole ex thing. And I’m sure that’s what prompted the conversation between you and David. “

Josh and I were hanging out with his friends and we had a situation happen where we had a lot of talk Abou social media and what does it look like if your partner still has exes and what does that look like. And he was like I unfollowed her on Instagram and then I could feel something was off and it became evident that he didn’t

It is then revealed that Josh’s ex has seemingly DM’d him since getting married, prompting Jalyn to state: “I just don’t like that.” He insists that he is not hiding anything but she shares to the camera: “An unnecessary little lie, All I think of is turning into bigger lies. It definitely feels like a breach of trust or a lack of respect.”

She continues: “What is a mistake that you can work through and what is a red flag that you should leave for?” It didn’t take long for those watching along at home to share what they feel about the situation.

One fan said: “I hate the whole American ‘can’t ever speak to your ex again’ thing, ugh. And Josh shouldn’t have offered to cut contact with his ex, then not done it. I hope Josh gets the post nup, I don’t trust Jalyn.”

Another claimed: “Josh shouldn’t have said that he stopped following the ex when he didn’t and she shouldn’t have asked him to in the first place.”

While someone else noted: “Oh the ending where Josh still didn’t block his ex and seems like he’s still having conversations with her but then tells Jalyn that he doesn’t want a relationship with his ex, then why are you talking to her? I feel so bad for her.”

Married At First Sight USA continues tomorrow at 8pm on E4 and streaming on Channel 4

MAFS USA plunged into chaos as one bride storms off after furious row

Married At First Sight USA Season 19 is back with brand new episodes on E4, but things are already getting tense

A Married At First Sight bride has walked out following an uncomfortable encounter with her husband.

The US edition of the popular reality series has kicked off Season 19 with new episodes broadcasting weekdays on E4 at 8pm. Earlier this week, audiences watched five new couples tie the knot with complete strangers they’d never met before.

Thus far, viewers have remained sceptical about the revised format, particularly following an explosive Australian series, though the programme is still finding its feet as the newlyweds embark on their honeymoons.

In tonight’s episode (May 21), several couples faced significant challenges just days into their marriages. Brittany and Will have discussed their communication difficulties, with Brittany voicing worries about her husband’s failure to ask her questions.

Yet Will also highlighted concerns about their contrasting communication approaches, leading to Brittany walking off by herself, reports OK!.

She said: “I want to dive deep I want to have those conversations”, however Will interrupted her stating: “No, you haven’t asked me any questions.”

Acknowledging she has “been trying”, Will described her questions as “vague and conspicuous” as Brittany replied: “I didn’t realise I needed to be super specific.”

Following further exchanges, the couple failed to reach common ground and Will said: “I don’t need you to hold my hand all the time.” Exasperated, Brittany continued: “It’s bothering me… like really. Sorry, I’m going to calm down”, to which Will responded: “Do whatever you need, it’s okay.”

His reply only wound Brittany up more as she snapped: “I’m frustrated because we’re on two separate, I won’t even say two separate pages, we’re like in different books. I need someone who can communicate.”

Storming off, Brittany told producers it was like talking to someone who does not talk back, while Will made no attempt to follow his wife, telling cameras: “She left for a reason, I’ll let her leave.”

The row followed an uncomfortable moment on their wedding night. But will the pair manage to bridge their differences? Fans will have to keep watching weekdays to discover what happens next.

Plenty of viewers took to social media to share their views, with one person commenting: “This is what happens when couples have completely different communication styles.”

Another posted: “It looks like Will and Brittany need counselling already”, while a third added: “Omg the chats they’re having are not interesting enough for prime time TV.”

Meanwhile, Pat and Rhonda are also grappling with communication issues, with Rhonda revealing she wished her husband would show more interest in her life.

Despite this hurdle, the couple have already declared their feelings for each other, with Rhonda saying: “I love the person that you are, I love your kindness and generosity, I love everything about you.”

One viewer took to X to write: “I love yous already!” while another responded: “‘I love you.’ Already?”

MAFS USA fans all say same thing just days into new series

Married At First Sight USA Season 19 viewers have had their say just days into the new series

MAFS fans have all voiced the same grievance moments into this evening’s episode as the US show returned.

Married At First Sight USA has officially kicked off, with Season 19 landing on E4 in spectacular fashion. Already, audiences have watched five couples encounter each other for the very first time at the altar, exchanging vows with total strangers.

Yet the new series has already sparked controversy after viewers spotted a glaring difference compared to its Australian version. This evening’s episode (May 20) featured the final couple’s nuptials before the newlyweds departed for their honeymoon.

Within minutes of tonight’s broadcast, UK audiences were distracted by one particular detail during Belynda and Chad’s ceremony. Fans clocked the choice of location, reports OK!.

Taking to X, one viewer posted: “The same venue my god, i thought it was a total scrooge when it came to spending money nothing like the production team on.” (sic)

Another remarked: “I miss the different locations as they made the weddings a bit as they had stunning places but this hotel seems dull.”

A third contributed: “The couples meet ‘How was the venue?’ ‘Same as bl**** yours…and i hated it’. (sic)” A fourth quipped: “Another at the venue. Buy 1 get 5 free.”

A fifth observed: “Did they get a discount on the venue as it seems like all the weddings are in the same place.”

Another echoed: “Is the American economy really that bad that they could only have all the weddings in one place to save money?” One person asked: “Oh my god are they honeymooning in the same location same venue, same hotel, same honeymoon come on?” (sic)

Weddings for MAFS USA Season 19 were captured at Hotel Viata in Austin, Texas. The hotel’s website states: “Love is always in the air at Hotel Viata-but this year, it caught the attention of national television.

“The hillside retreat was chosen as a filming location for Season 19 of Married at First Sight, with couples exchanging vows right here in our courtyard and overlooking the hills of West Lake.”

This detail varies considerably from the UK edition, where nuptials occur at various venues including stunning hotels and historic landmarks.

Meanwhile in tonight’s episode, audiences observed certain couples advancing their relationships in terms of physical closeness, with the newly-weds navigating their brand new partnerships.

British audiences might be taken aback to learn that MAFS USA participants genuinely enter into legally recognised marriages.

As reported by People magazine, the couples must sign a pre-nuptial agreement to provide them with certain safeguards and receive support with potential divorce expenses should their union fail.

Married At First Sight USA airs weekdays on E4 at 8pm.

MAFS Australia’s Bec says ‘life has crumbled’ as she addresses latest scandal

Married At First Sight Australia’s Bec Zacharia has broken her silence after finding herself at the centre of a bridal dress hire dispute

A Married At First Sight bride has spoken out following a social media storm that left her facing a torrent of “abuse”.

Married At First Sight Australia has wrapped up its dramatic finale, with fans now switching their attention to the USA edition, airing weekdays on E4 at 8pm.

The fresh American series has been branded “more toxic” than the Australian original, though audiences won’t soon forget the explosive Aussie season packed with bitter rows and numerous departures.

Now, Bec Zacharia finds herself caught up in fresh controversy after a social media incident which she claims has taken a serious toll on her wellbeing, leaving her subjected to “abuse”.

Bec’s time on the programme attracted widespread criticism for her on-screen conduct during what proved to be a chaotic series, reports OK!.

The bride was left heartbroken at Final Vows, admitting she felt blindsided by her on-screen husband Danny, having previously declared her love for him.

Since leaving MAFS behind, Bec has been piecing her life back together, dealing with the fallout from her behaviour and enduring online backlash. However, she’s now become entangled in further controversy, even after the show’s conclusion.

According to the Tab, the recent drama erupted when Bec revealed she’d splashed out nearly $20k on MAFS, explaining she did not rent outfits.

Shortly after the podcast went live, her remarks sparked backlash from the owner of bridal gown hire firm RESRVD, who alleged Bec had utilised their services for a Final Vows outfit in return for publicity.

Rather than the promised repeated promotion, Bec allegedly tagged the brand only on her burner account. RESRVD’s owner Savannah vented online: “There’s small businesses behind these television shows and the brides that are wearing them and it is incredibly disappointing when a small business is not given the recognition that they are promised.”

Following the allegations circulating online, Bec revealed she’s been inundated with abuse, telling Daily Mail Australia her business Instagram account has been removed. She explained: “This is my only form of income, and that has now been taken away from me.

“I am a small business now. All of the deals that I’ve got going on rely on me having my Instagram, and the hate that I’m getting every five minutes, I’m getting abuse.”

She subsequently confessed: “I wish there had been communication where she could have told me her grievances… I would have done everything to fix that for her.

“I’m not an influencer. I’m just a normal girl. I thought what I had done was satisfactory.”

Bec revealed Final Vows and the gown were “triggering” for her, considering the heartache she endured after being dumped by Danny.

Chatting to news.com.au, Bec described it as an “honest mistake”, saying: “My life is crumbled, and I can’t get away from abuse.”

Married At First Sight can be streamed on Channel 4 online.

Married At First Sight USA’s episode release schedule explained

MAFS fans in the UK will finally get to see what went down in the American edition of the reality show

There are now just hours to go until the latest season of Married At First Sight USA airs in the UK.

The hit reality format sees brides and grooms meeting each other for the first time at the altar. From there, they get to know their new spouse properly as they head off on their honeymoons, move in together and mingle with the show’s other couples over the weeks it takes to film.

There are now ample different series available for viewers to indulge in, including the recently concluded Australian series which brought drama by the bucket load. There has even been a spin-off announced, titled Second Marriage At First Sight, which will be bringing back fan favourites from the UK and Aussie seasons who didn’t find love first time around.

Until then, UK-based reality fans will get to watch the latest USA series on their TV screens. Series 19 of Married At First Sight USA will be broadcasting for the first time in the UK on E4.

The first episode will air tonight (May 18) at 8pm, introducing viewers to 10 singles from Austin, Texas, as they embark on their quest for long-lasting love. The season originally aired stateside in late 2025, meaning some of the biggest moments have already been discussed online, but we won’t spoil those here.

However, American viewers have previously described the series as “even more dramatic” and “more toxic” than its Australian counterpart. One viewer penned: “Season 19 might have the most toxic people yet in the entire MAFS history. I’m not saying this season has the top-most toxic person of the whole show. There are definitely very toxic people from other seasons.”

When does MAFS USA air in the UK?

If you’re already sold on the series, when can you watch it? The series will be shown every weeknight, Monday through to Friday, at 8pm on E4.

Unlike the UK series which has an episode count into the thirties, the USA series is much shorter. There are 13 episodes in total, plus a reunion which is considered to be Episode 14.

The experts on MAFS USA are Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr Pepper Schwartz and Dr Pia Holec. Dr Schwartz is a sociologist, sexologist and relationship guru who has been on the show since its very first season. She works alongside marriage counsellor Pastor Cal and sex therapist and psychotherapist Dr Holec.

Married At First Sight USA begins airing in the UK tonight at 8pm on E4.

Alissa from MAFS Australia ‘couldn’t get out of bed’ after Bec scandal

Married at First Sight Australia star Alissa opened up about the ‘mean girl treatment’ she faced from fellow brides during Season 13

A Married At First Sight Australia bride has revealed she “couldn’t get out of bed” after enduring “mean girl treatment” from fellow cast members.

The thirteenth series of the popular social experiment has finally wrapped up, but not without the couples facing one last interrogation from the relationship experts.

During Thursday’s (May 14) finale, Alissa was given the opportunity to speak out about the text message controversy involving co-stars Gia and Bec.

Fans will recall that the pair were exposed sharing vicious messages about Alissa and her husband David in a private group chat. One message suggested the couple’s relationship was fake, while another branded Alissa a “rat b****”.

In a final bid to defend herself, Alissa confronted Bec and Gia, the only two members from the group chat who attended the reunion, reports OK!.

“What did I do to you? What did I actually do to you? Mean girls, just mean girls,” she said.

When questioned about how their remarks impacted her, Alissa emotionally confessed: “I couldn’t get out of bed. If it wasn’t for him [David]. He was with me, he stood by me.”

She continued: “And he was like ‘You’re strong, you got this.’ I remember that second dinner party, I sat there and I was shaking under the table.

“My arms were shaking and that was one of the hardest days of my life. And I didn’t shed one tear, and I sat there and I called out a bully.”

The heartfelt admission left the entire cast visibly moved, with even Bec appearing distressed. Despite clashing throughout the E4 experiment, the two female contestants have since buried the hatchet.

Both Gia and Bec offered sincere apologies during the reunion episode.

Bec was first to speak up, saying: “The way I treated you was disgusting. And I vow to you and promise you that I will never, ever, ever, ever treat you or another woman without speaking to them about it [first],” before adding: “That was just unfair and I’m sincerely sorry.”

Gia then responded: “Obviously we’re leaving the experiment so you’ve no way to judge if my behaviour’s going to change, but all I can say is I’m really truly sorry for anything I’ve ever said.”

Unseen text messages between MAFS Australia’s Danny and Steph exposed

The true text messages between Steph and Danny have now been exposed following the dinner party chaos

The Married At First Sight Australia reunion is proving to be an absolute rollercoaster, with no shortage of explosive moments.

During last night’s instalment (May 12), fans of the reality phenomenon were treated to yet more fireworks when Bec unleashed a shocking revelation, alleging her ex Danny had been swapping flirty messages with fellow participant Steph.

On the programme, Steph had tied the knot with Tyson, though their romance fizzled out ahead of the final vows, while Danny similarly pulled ended his own relationship during the ultimate final commitment.

Yet behind the scenes, it emerged Danny and Steph had been messaging one another, with whispers suggesting Steph had even forwarded a bikini snap of herself.

During last night’s broadcast (May 12), word spread about the bikini images, prompting Bec to erupt: “You’re contacting my ex-husband, you’re meant to be my friend … Who do you think you are?”

Bec further alleged the duo had traded voice messages, with Danny also sending Steph love heart emojis – though he insisted he shares the symbol with everyone, reports OK!.

Eventually, a tearful Bec walked out of the Dinner Party, confessing that despite Danny shattering her heart, she remained in love with him – sentiments he did not share.

Speaking to producers on the programme, Steph confessed she felt no attraction towards Danny and would not pursue anything with him. But what really transpired between the two? The text messages between the pair have now come to light.

Woman’s Day reports that Stephanie made the first move, checking in on Danny’s wellbeing. Steph revealed she’d been “working, walking and working out man. Dating. Having fun”.

In one exchange, Steph urged Danny to attend the reunion, hoping he’d help her “go hard” on ex Tyson following their turbulent split. One message read: “I think you should come and if it gets too much, just leave. But I say that because I wanna see everyone and I’m just being selfish.”

Other messages saw them poking fun at contestants who’d left their jobs for the show, with Danny writing: “Living in dream world thinking you’ll make good coin off the back of mafs haha.”

The duo also swapped voice notes, while Steph sent Danny a series of snaps from a recent getaway, including the bikini shot that Bec had questioned.

Nine.com.au reports that Steph had previously posted the photograph herself on Instagram stories, labelling it the “bikini photo in question”, linked to a November 2025 upload. The image shows her sporting a bikini top paired with shorts.

Her caption, which accompanied various sightseeing shots plus another bikini snap, read: “Sunbaking/burnt, bug/gies, saunas, sightseeing, HPC, Hamilton.”

Speaking to Nine, Steph insisted the exchange was completely innocent, saying: “I went to Hamilton Island with work, and he said he’d never been there. I sent him a couple of photos, one of which was me in a bikini, which had already been posted on social media.”

Married At First Sight Australia can be streamed on Channel 4.
