A win for Wardley would see him move into pole position for a shot at the WBA heavyweight title.

The unbeaten Brit was due to fight Jarrell Miller, but the American was forced to pull out of the bout due to a shoulder injury.

In stepped Huni, on roughly six weeks’ notice, who is looking to cause a huge upset on Wardley’s homecoming.

Dillian Whyte is chief support for the event – but the Body Snatcher does not yet have an opponent booked.

Channel 5 to show four England T20s a year on free-to-air TV

Channel 5 will show four home England T20s per year for the next four years under a new deal with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), keeping the matches on free-to-air television.

The two men’s and two women’s matches, previously shown on the BBC, will also be available on Channel 5’s streaming service 5.

They will still be broadcast on Sky Sports, which shows all of England’s home matches.

Channel 5 will also stream highlights of the T20 Blast.

The first match on the channel is the women’s T20 between England and West Indies at Chelmsford on Monday.

It will also show England’s men against the Windies on Sunday 8 June, then Nat Sciver-Brunt’s England against India on Saturday 28 June and the men’s match against South Africa on Sunday 14 September.

The BBC signed a new deal with the ECB this year, which includes highlights of all red and white-ball internationals across television, iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

There will also be in-play clips of all matches on the BBC Sport website and app, plus live TV coverage of eight double-headers in each season of The Hundred.

The BBC’s audio deal also means Test Match Special will have commentary of home internationals until at least 2028, along with the new four-year contract to broadcast men’s and women’s county cricket.

A person has died after a small boat sank while attempting to cross the English Channel

A person has died after a small “overloaded” boat sank while attempting to cross the English Channel, French authorities have said.

A total of 62 people were rescued from the water after the boat broke up overnight on Sunday to Monday, the Maritime Prefect of the Channel and the North Sea said.

A French Navy helicopter helping with the search spotted an unconscious person in the water, who was subsequently declared dead by the medical team on board a French assistance and rescue intervention tug, French authorities said.

A mother and her baby were taken to hospital in Boulogne-sur-Mer, in France, with hypothermia.

The French tug recovered 50 people, the RNLI recovered two people and the Border Force Ranger recovered nine people.

The other rescued people were taken to Boulogne-sur-Mer quay and taken care of by the land rescue services.

A migrant also died trying to cross the Channel in April.

Crossings this year

As of last month, more than 9,000 people had crossed the English Channel on small boats in 2025.

This was 42% higher than at the same point in 2024, when the total stood at 6,265, and 81% higher than at the same stage in 2023, when the total was 4,899.

Home Office figures show more people arrived in small boats between January and April 2025 than in the same four-month period in any year since data on Channel crossings began in 2018.

The figures come as the government has vowed to crack down on people-smuggling across the Channel.

Channel 4’s The Honesty Box star rushed to hospital after medical emergency on holiday

The Honesty Box star Rose Skehan has revealed that she was admitted to a medical clinic while travelling in Thailand after filming the show, with the star fainting at a restaurant

The Honesty Box runners up Rose Skehan and Tommy Biswell went off on their travels to Thailand after filming the E4 show – and have revealed that one particular day proved to be dramatic when Tommy was forced to carry Rose to a nearby clinic. The couple, who met on the dating show hosted by Vicky Pattison, have stayed together since the show’s finale and moved in together as they travel from place to place in the UK.

However, Rose revealed in a chat with The Mirror that she suddenly became ill one night during their trip to Thailand. “There was one time where I got really sick when we went to Thailand and I fainted at dinner,” she says.

“Tommy was carrying me like a baby through the streets of Thailand to this clinic and I was on an IV drip. We had the most random time ever.”

Tommy adds, “One minute she was singing having a fab time, next she was in a clinic on a drip. It was really quite mad that but Thailand was amazing time. We saw elephants, we rode horses, we saw monks.”

Rose continues, “We were walking up waterfalls, we really like broaden our horizons as well.”

The trip also made the couple even closer after Rose suffered a devastating loss back at home. “It brought us so much closer together because while were out there as well, my horse of 11 years, he passed away and Tommy really stepped up in caring for me and supporting me so we’ve got such a strong base coming back to England.”

Since leaving the show, Rose and Tommy have moved in together – revealing that they have been travelling the UK as a couple ever since. “We’re actually all over, so we jump round from cabin to cabin,” Tommy says. “We’re exploring the whole country. We’re finding nice little places that we’ve not been to in the UK.”

Rose adds, “It’s great because we both love historic houses and animals – we’re in our element going all over the countryside.”

The couple narrowly missed out on the show’s winnings as it was Chantelle and Jovan who emerged as champions of The Honesty Box. The winning pair recently revealed to the Mirror that they’re ready for marriage.
