Dani Dyer opened up about her childhood with EastEnders star dad Danny Dyer while being interrogated by the Directing Staff on tonight’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

Celebrity SAS star Dani Dyer has spoken out about the “terrible boyfriends” she’s had in the past while being interrogated on the Channel 4 show. Tonight’s episode saw the Directing Staff call Dani in for a chat after watching her struggle during the latest physical challenge.

Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox took the opportunity to ask Dani how she felt about growing up with her famous dad, Danny Dyer, who is best known for his roles in Human Traffic, The Football Factory and EastEnders. Dani answered: “It was okay, really. I think I get a lot of the things that he’s a hard man, but he genuinely ain’t.

“He’s the softest person. My mum’s the hard man of the family, but I’ve already been alright with having him as a dad. We’ve lived a very, very normal life considering he has been so famous.”

When asked what she was like as a teenager, Dani explained that she wasn’t a “wild” child. “I chatted a lot, I always got in trouble for chatting,” she said.

“I just chose terrible boyfriends, but my mum and dad always knew where I was. I wasn’t one of them kids where they were ringing up the police, I thought I was pretty stable in that sense.” Dani went on to become emotional as she opened up about her insecurities, revealing: “I want to be stronger. I want to believe in myself. I don’t have any self-belief at all.”

Dani married footballer Jarrod Bowen last May after welcoming their twins, Summer and Star, in May 2023. She was previously in an on-off relationship with Sammy Kimmence, dating him before going on Love Island in 2018 and rekindling the romance after splitting from co-star Jack Fincham shortly after the show.

They welcomed their son Santiago in 2021, but split shortly afterwards when Sammy was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for scamming pensioners out of £34,000.

Speaking about taking part in Celebrity SAS, Dani revealed that it was one of the “hardest things” she has ever had to do. Speaking in a video posted on her Instagram Story ahead of the premiere, Dani said: “SAS is obviously on tonight at nine o’clock.

“This is one show I’ve been absolutely really excited for you all to see, but also petrified because it was one of the hardest experiences of my entire life.”

Speaking to The Mirror in an exclusive chat, Dani said that she’s entering a new era as her kids continue to grow up. “I feel like I’m really finding myself again. I’ve had five years obviously with all the kids and now they’re growing up a little bit,” she said.

“You start finding yourself a little bit again – what you like and what you don’t like. I’m finding my feet. In this industry, you have your ups and downs but I feel at the moment that I’m really enjoying everything I’m doing and appreciating it all.”

PALOMA Faith has shared a look at her blossoming baby bump after a luxury break in Oman. 

The singer is pregnant with her third child, and ahead of the birth whisked away for a sunsoaked getaway with her two daughters and partner, Stevie Thomas.

Sharing pictures from the resort’s poolside, Paloma looked relaxed and happy as she posed for selfies, while in another she was seen asleep in a bikini with her bump on display. 

Alongside photographs of the Middle Eastern resorts sights, Paloma was also seen beaming next to Stevie in another loved up snap. 

“Amazing trip to Oman with the boy, kids and bump,” she wrote alongside the pictures on Instagram. 

“I have to say it’s an amazing part of the world and I am so blessed to share this time with my kids before new baby comes ….. taking time out with family from work is something to push for and I really try.”

“Someone said to me recently you only really get 18 summers with your kids and I was lucky to extend that with a bit of winter sun,” she added. 

“I never take time with them for granted and I can’t wait to have my third miracle baby. 

“I have to say, I feel VERY happy about my personal life right now, it’s all going wonderfully!” 

Paloma announced she was expecting her third baby back in October last year, shortly after her brutal exit from Celebrity Traitors, where she was murdered at the hands of close pal, Alan Carr. 

This is her first child with Stevie, having welcomed her two daughters, born in 2016 and 2021, with her ex-husband, artist Leyman Lahcine. 

For both babies, Paloma was open about years of fertility struggles, undergoing IVF in order to conceive. 

After splitting from Leyman in 2022 after a 10 year relationship, it’s believed Paloma and music venue director Stevie secretly dated for a year before going public with their romance in March 2025. 

While she’s been praising her current pregnancy experience, in December she worried fans as she was rushed to hospital and put on a nebuliser after a nasty bout of Flu A.

Thankfully she has since fully recovered, taking the opportunity to ditch the British cold for a resort trip abroad with her family and loved ones.

The latest in the Edge Series of ships, the Xcel will have you spoilt for choice; there’s so much on offer that it’s hard to decide what to do first. Luckily, inside your cabin you’re provided with daily planners, and there’s a handy app with information on what’s happening where.

Everything on board the Xcel is sparkly and brand new, you’re surrounded by so much art you won’t know where to look first, and the Magic Carpet platform, suspended above the sea, is seriously impressive. Setting sail from Fort Lauderdale, there was certainly a celebratory atmosphere as we started our Caribbean cruise to Bimini in the Bahamas and Cozumel in Mexico.

What’s on board the Celebrity Xcel?

The Grand Plaza is the main hub of the ship. Set over three open and airy decks, it’s overlooked by a breathtaking chandelier hanging above the martini bar, where the flamboyant bar staff put on a skilled juggling performance in front of an eye-catching golden horse sculpture. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing, with different entertainment each night and brilliant people- watching opportunities at all times (especially during the silent disco!).

One new area on the Xcel is The Bazaar on deck five. It’s approached through a tunnel of changing lights, and is inspired by the cultures, flavours and sights of the destinations you’re visiting on your cruise. Every time we passed through there was a different delicious smell, and it’s full of interesting little stalls from local artisans. Festivals take place here on sea days where you can experience themed sips and snacks, and crafting activities are also dotted around.

The food on board the Celebrity Xcel

There are so many different dining experiences on board the Xcel, and the food standard is excellent. The four complimentary restaurants – Cosmopolitan, Normandie, Cyprus and Tuscan – are all designed differently and have their own signature dishes.

The Oceanview café is a relaxed space with great views and great food. The choice is huge and as well as the main buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there’s a pizza and pasta bar, an ice-cream parlour, late night snacks… it goes on and on and on.

There are also seven speciality dining restaurants, bookable for an extra charge. We were massively impressed by Mosaic, an open kitchen concept with a spin on your destination’s signature dishes, all presented beautifully. Bora, meanwhile, is a new outdoor restaurant at the top of the ship, serving extravagant brunches and sunset dinners – perfect for date nights.

What can you do on the Celebrity Xcel?

With all that food and drink, you might fancy some light activity. A walking/running track winds its way around the top decks with views of the pool. For the more active, the state-of-the- art gym looking out to sea is fantastic; we’d never had such a great view from a treadmill.

There’s also a gorgeous spa with its own private sundeck called Vitamin D, and a huge choice of saunas, steam rooms and treatments. It’s so relaxing and quiet, it’s hard to remember that you’re at sea at all.

The Celebrity Pool Club is overlooked by a giant mirrored monkey sculpture that provides the perfect spot for selfies. Poolside valets keep you refreshed all day and there’s a programme of volleyball, poolside trivia and aquafun dance classes. After hours the pool club transforms to host the Shine the Night party with DJs. There are so many entertainment areas on board, there’s something for everyone – a casino, a theatre, The Club with activities, retro video games and game shows, an art gallery, and more bars than you can keep track of.

And of course, there are loads of excursions to choose from when you get off at your destinations too; the shark snorkelling at Bimini in particular was a fantastic experience.

One last thing…

Something worth investigating is the whispered rumours of a secret speakeasy bar on board. You won’t find any information about it online (it’s only referred to as ‘IYKYK’ on the website) and staff will deny all knowledge when questioned, but we happened upon it on our last night. It’s all very hush hush with no photos allowed, but if you can find it, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. All we’ll say is look out for the photo booth…

Celebrity Cruises’ 7-nights Bahamas, Mexico & Cayman Cruise on board the Celebrity Xcel, sailing from 1-8 March 2026, costs from £879.50 per person based on two adults sharing an Inside Stateroom. This price includes food, with drinks packages, flights and WiFi at extra costs.

A Celebrity Gogglebox star has shared a health update after collapsing.

Happy Mondays stars Shaun Ryder and Bez are a popular duo on the hit Channel 4 programme, after joining the line-up back in 2019. The pair are known for their hilarious and candid commentary, delighting fans with their unique chemistry and outspoken takes on the latest TV shows.

Shaun and Bez appeared on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday (January 6) as they mark 35 years since the release of their iconic album Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches. Happy Mondays will celebrate the anniversary with a tour that kicks off in March.

While speaking to hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell this morning, Shaun revealed that he suffered a recent health scare. “How are you physically, because you weren’t well before Christmas, were you?” Jon asked.

Shaun replied: “I got pneumonia. I was on tour [and] I ended up with pneumonia. [I] had to throw everything I could down me, every sort of painkiller and everything else just to get through it.

“When I got back, I couldn’t even go to the funeral, Mani’s funeral. I got back the day before Mani’s funeral and collapsed, so I couldn’t even go… Like I say, you have to get the job done on the tour, we’re old school you know.”

Shaun then explained that he was prescribed antibiotics, which have helped him recover.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Gabby Allen was left furious after failing the show’s first challenge within seconds.

The thrilling Channel 4 programme kicked off its eighth series on Sunday (January 4), featuring 14 celebs braving a modified version of the gruelling SAS (Special Air Service) training.

In a series first, the contestants are split into two international teams: seven Brits and seven Aussies.

Team UK boasts Love Island favourites Gabby and Dani Dyer, social media influencers Jack Joseph and Cole Anderson James, rugby hero Ben Cohen, Gladiator Toby Olubi, and cricket star Graeme Swann.

The first mission of this year’s series was an emergency evacuation drill, where one participant from each team was strapped into a plane and submerged underwater, reports OK!.

Once under, they had to hold their breath for 30 seconds before being given the signal to escape. Gabby was up first, alongside Olympic swimming champ Mack Horton.

The risk of drowning was acknowledged prior to the stars being plunged into the water, but things quickly took a horrifying turn as Gabby began to panic just seconds into the task.

She was swiftly rescued by the crew who recognised her “panicking”. The reality star “failed” the test as she couldn’t hold her breath for the necessary duration.

The 33-year-old appeared visibly annoyed following the challenge. Looking back on it, she remarked: “I weren’t scared about the height, I weren’t scared about the water. And then I f****** didn’t take a big enough breath. What the f***? !”

Ex-Islander Dani similarly fell short in completing the emergency evacuation challenge. “Instantly, I failed,” she vented afterwards.

Ahead of the episode going to air, the 29-year-old had shared her thoughts with followers regarding her time on the gruelling military programme.

In an Instagram Stories video, Dani revealed: “SAS is obviously on tonight at nine o’clock. This is one show I’ve been absolutely really excited for you all to see, but also petrified because it was one of the hardest experiences of my entire life.”

She went on: “I’d love to do it again, this is one of those things I’d love to do again and be a lot more headstrong, and a lot more…not a wimp. But do you know what? It was great and, yeah, I hope you all enjoy it.”

Celebrity Mastermind viewers were left fuming as they hit out at the BBC over the line-up

Celebrity Mastermind viewers expressed their frustration within minutes of Friday night’s episode, with many voicing the same thing.

BBC host Clive Myrie introduced the latest batch of celebrity contestants on the January 2 instalment, featuring actor Colson Smith, radio presenter Nadia Jae, comedian Grace Campbell, and Blue Peter presenter Joel M.

The four personalities put their knowledge to the test in the iconic black chair, tackling questions on Leeds United under Marcelo Bielsa, Marvel’s Avengers films, actor Robin Williams, and illusionist Derren Brown.

Puzzled viewers took to social media to voice their displeasure, with many admitting they only recognised Colson Smith, whilst criticising the BBC’s choice of guests.

One viewer questioned: “Apart from PC Tinks from #Corrie, who are these other people masquerading as ‘celebrities’?” Another queried: “Shot at fame? So an admission of sorts that many of these aren’t very famous already.”

A third viewer added: “These ‘celebrities’ just get further and further away from the actual label ‘celebrity’ every night. What a joke.”

A fourth remarked: “Oh well. They’ve finally run out of celebrities,” whilst a fifth concurred: “They use the term Celebrity quite loosely, don’t they?”

The celebrity contestants found the quiz challenging, with Nadia Jae managing just eight points across both rounds to finish in fourth place. Joel M secured 13 points for third place.

Whilst Colson achieved 14 points for second, and Grace Campbell emerged victorious with a narrow win on 15 points, highlighting the competitive nature of the contest, reports the Express.

Recent episodes have prompted criticism from viewers, who’ve accused the celebrity edition of featuring “dumbed-down questions”.

One fan fumed, “Celebrity Mastermind is a complete waste of licence money.” Meanwhile many fans where pleased to see the show on their TV screens as another added: “#CelebrityMastermind is back, Thank the lord.”
