Jessie J slams ‘beast’ Hollywood star ex in savage new track on return to music after breast cancer battle

JESSIE J has taken a leaf out of Jennifer Lopez’s book and taken aim at her Hollywood ex on her new music.

Earlier this year, J-Lo slammed Ben Affleck on track Wreckage of You after her marriage to the actor broke down.

Now Jessie has let rip at Channing Tatum, who she dated from 2018 to 2020, on her album Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time, which is out on Friday.

On the not-so-subtle track Threw It Away, Jessie brands a former flame a “beast”.

She sings: “I put my heart out on the table, that’s when it got uncomfortable. But oh that karma is gonna come one day, ’cause I gave you my love and you threw it away.”

She later adds: “Don’t you dare rewrite the story. I’m the beauty, you’re the beast.”

‘I’m better person’

Taking to the stage at an exclusive listening party for the album in West London, Jessie did not mention the Magic Mike star by name.

But she left little doubt among fans who the track is about.

She said: “This next song I wrote in 2020 with Ryan Tedder, and you can figure out who I was dating.”

After taking time out over the summer to undergo treatment for breast cancer, Jessie is working at full pace.

Opening up about her health battle, Jessie said: “I’m grateful for the lessons and grateful for the connectivity it’s given me with so many people having cancer.

“And I’ve been a better parent, I’ve been a better person.”

What happens to the dog in The Beast in Me?

Netflix’s The Beast in Me has been a hit with viewers

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Beast in Me

Netflix’s latest gripping thriller, The Beast in Me, has been captivating audiences with its stellar cast and breathtaking locations, reports the Express.

The eight-part drama stars Homeland’s Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, known for his role in The Americans.

The Beast in Me is the brainchild of the team behind Homeland and sees Danes portray Aggie Wings, a troubled author who becomes intrigued by her new neighbour Nile Jarvis (Rhys) after discovering he was the main suspect in his wife’s murder.

Nile is widely believed to have murdered his wife but managed to evade punishment.

Before Nile’s arrival, Pulitzer Prize-winning memoirist Aggie had been grappling with writer’s block, her life tainted by tragedy.

What ensues is a tense psychological thriller as Aggie seeks the truth while pretending to pen a new narrative for Nile.

The series also stars Brittany Snow, Natalie Morales, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, and Deirdre O’Connell.

The Beast in Me is packed with unexpected twists and turns, but viewers are particularly curious about one character.

Does the dog die in The Beast in Me?

Aggie’s pet dog Steve makes an early appearance in the show as danger looms.

In the series, it’s revealed that Steve was named by Aggie’s late son, adding a touching layer to his presence.

Fortunately, Steve the pooch makes it through to the finale of the Netflix thriller, allowing viewers to relax.

Steve isn’t the sole four-legged character in the programme, as Nile also owns a pair of guard dogs that form part of his sophisticated security apparatus protecting his residence.

While Nile’s hounds get sedated and mistreated at one stage, they emerge unscathed by the show’s conclusion.

The Beast in Me’s showrunner Howard Gordon spoke to Tudum about what initially drew him to the venture.

He revealed: “One of the things that drew me to the show initially was that we’re living in a time with texts and threads and smearing people and jumping to conclusions, but it’s always been this way.”

Gordon continued: “Whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Amanda Knox or Nile Jarvis, sometimes we are quick to make assumptions, and to believe what we’re reading, and to be led to believe what we want to believe for whatever set of reasons.

“But when we are forced to look at it from another angle, do we have the humility and the compassion to listen, and to revise the narrative?”.

The Beast in Me represents a collaboration between executive producer Gordon and actress Danes, who previously joined forces on Homeland.

World’s biggest YouTuber Mr Beast is opening his own theme park this week

IF THERE is one thing the world’s biggest YouTuber loves more than giving away money, it is taking on a challenge. And now Mr Beast is doing exactly that.

The YouTube giant, who has a staggering 450million subscribers on YouTube, is entering the attraction world by opening a theme park based on the challenges and games seen on his channel.

Named Beast Land, the new theme park will open on November 13, in Saudi Arabia.

Jimmy Donaldson (Mr Beast’s real name) said via X: “We built custom games modelled after our videos that don’t exist ANYWHERE else and will have the world’s largest prize wall.”

At one of the games called ‘Tower Siege’, visitors must load balls into catapults, which then have to land in giant 18 metre tubes for points.

In an attraction called ‘Drop Zone’, six people stand on trap doors – a button then lights up in front of all the players, but the person who presses it last gets dropped. The last player remaining gets the most points.

Little information has been revealed about the other attractions available at the theme park, but when visitors book tickets, others mentioned include Endeavour, Energize, Sling Shot and Coco Beach Coaster.

Mr Beast, 27 said: “I didn’t want this to be like a typical theme park.

“Thought of things from first principles and created games I would love to play.

“Tons of original games created plus of course we have rollercoasters and rides.”

When asked why he chose Saudi Arabia, the YouTuber responded that it is because the majority of his audience is outside of America and that he has a big Middle Eastern fan base.

He added: “Wanted to give them a chance to participate.”

A Beast Mode ticket costing £20.27 is for kids over eight-years-old, and allows visitors to have access to all the same elements as the Junior entry ticket, but with up to three rides.

Finally, Beast Mode + tickets allows all the same as the Beast Mode entry ticket, but includes all of the rides.

This ticket costs £50.99 per person.
