Thailand hit with dozens of coordinated arsons, bombs
Aug. 23 (UPI) — Thailand’s southern region has been hit by dozens of coordinated arson attacks and bombs “aimed at creating unrest,” officials said Sunday.
The Thai Military said there were more than 50 incendiary attacks overnight on Saturday, injuring at least two people, the BBC reported.
At least six of the attacks involved bombs.
A government office building, convenience store and vehicle were set on fire.
Car tires were burned and power poles were blown up, Xinhua reported.
The attacks happened in Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani provinces, the news agency reported.
The investigation into the incident continues, and no group has claimed responsibility yet, the BBC reported.
