MELANIE Skyes has shared a new health update after she revealed she’s “two thirds bald” amid her illness struggle.

Mel, who suffers from an auto-immune condition, raised concerns around her health after revealing the shocking symptoms of her illness, but explained she remains positive around ‘healing’ after taking up a new passion.

Earlier this week, the mum-of-two issued a health update via Instagram, where she explained: “I’ve got an autoimmune condition, I am losing my hair, I keep having crazy inflammation all over and I am working on healing.

“In the last three months, I’ve done a meditation teacher training course.

“I was too ill to finish it like. The last two days of it I couldn’t do.

So why DID Mel Sykes quit fame? Pals reveal all about her new reclusive life

“It’s meditation teacher training, I don’t necessarily want to teach, but I can do…

“Mostly I’ve been living a very, very very spiritual existence.”

Mel, who suffers from alopecia and a heart condition, has become increasingly spiritual since her health battle began last April.

The star, who stepped back from her showbiz career, looks noticeably different from her days on the telly, as she remains on the road to recovery.

And in her latest post on Instagram, she gave a follow up to fans and shared an insight into her new-found faith – and how it has impacted her outlook on life.

In the six-minute clip, Mel revealed: “Yeah, life is so, so good, and I know it because I’m right here right now and there’s nothing to fear. There is nothing to fear.

“The more I tune into faith, and believing that all is well because it is, because I’m experiencing it, so I know that it is, that it’ll only get better.”

The former model went on to share that despite obvious concerns around her welfare from close pals, she would rather not have to talk about being ill all the time.

She admitted: “We don’t need to bring that to the conversation. It’s not like I’m hiding it, I’d just rather have conversation about something else because I’ve got that [health issues] down and I’m healing myself”.

Mel, who previously co-hosted ITV show Let’s Do Lunch with chef Gino D’Acampo, stressed that she’s not a “gloomy person”, and added her “prognosis is healing” as she focuses on making a recovery.

She urged everyone not to be too concerned about her, and rubbished any worries around her health as “b****cks”.

She added: “Worry about yourselves, if anything, and I don’t even mean worry about yourselves, I just mean attend to your own spiritual garden, yourself, your body, your mind, your creative spirit.

“Don’t worry about me, I’ve got me, I’ve always got me, I’ve learned to really take care of myself in the last two years.”

Mel has heavily leaned into meditation and spiritual thoughts since her health issues began.

She first opened up about her conditions last April — and linked her suffering to allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behaviour against Gino, which he “firmly denied”.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, Mel said: “I went into the New Year with so much energy.

“I’ve slowed things down because I got a heart problem, which I developed during the whole Gino D’Acampo bull**** that happened in the news.

“Suddenly, the stress levels in my life shot up because I left that industry years ago but it won’t leave me alone.”

“It’s all been triggered – and everybody’s agreed with this – by my PTSD from the industry.”

Mel, who also urged TV bosses to crack down on inappropriate behavior in light of the Gregg Wallace MasterChef scandal, went on to say: “I support anybody who has experienced things that are, I think the term is beyond the pale, at work.”
