TOWIE’s Amy Childs forced to clap back at trolls after being house-shamed over ‘boring, blank, clinical’ mansion

AMY CHILDS has been forced to clap back at trolls after being house-shamed as they called her home “boring, blank and clinical”.

The Only Way is Essex star, 35, moved into her new £1.7 million mansion with fiancée Billy Delbosq and her four children in March 2024.

She took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a typical day at home reel for her followers to see.

In the video, the mum-of-four was seen making the beds, tidying up toys and hoovering inside her massive home.

She had penned: “I promised you I would do more at home bits on my page. So this is what a typical day at home looks like when the kids are at school and the twins are wrecking the house.

“Mums how do we do it?? I honestly can hoover 3 times a day is this normal. Also as you can see I’m very minimalist.”

However, Amy was trolled in the comments section as social media users slammed the way her house looks.

One person wrote: “Such boring décor for such a lovely big house.”

Another social media user wrote: “Probably her style, likes it blank, clinical, empty spaces, some people do.”

While a third added: “It’s a cold home, one teddy on the bed. No toys in the rooms, no curtain. Actually no life in that home. A house is to be lived in, no pictures, no nothing…”

The Celebrity Big Brother star was forced to hit back at the comments as she later took to her stories to have her say.

She wrote: “For all the comments on my reel yesterday, we haven’t even started the upstairs @thedelchildshome_.

“Our main thing at first was to do the outside and the pool, then in time working with a interior designer to do mine and the children’s bedrooms.

“Yes I’m very minimalist but the bedrooms after are going to look simply stunning and also to take our time as this house is a project.

“It’s sad I have to come on here to explain myself, people direct messaging me very nasty messages about my house.

“In a world that we live in be kind,” she concluded with a red love heart.

Back in 2024, a source exclusively told The Sun: “Amy Childs has just bought her forever home with her man Billy and is moving in in the coming days.

“The last house she owned was once she bought down the road for her mum, but this is the first place she and Billy will own together so feels like a new start for the whole family.”

They added: “Amy has done really well for herself, she’s worked hard and this place is her dream home – she fell in love with it at first sight.

“It’s got a cinema room, five bedrooms and she’s even planning to put a pool in the garden at some point in the near future.

“She can’t wait to get settled and make it her own.”

A week prior, Amy shared a photo of a removal van after packing up her previous £1m Essex home.

She told fans: “And just like that we say goodbye to our home.

“Feeling very emotional but what an amazing 13 years I’ve had here. Here’s to the new chapter.”

Beyonce & Jay-Z set to build spectacular rural estate in Cotswolds after using ‘rich person loophole’ to get permission

AMERICAN stars Beyoncé and Jay-Z are set to use a “rich person” planning loophole to build a huge rural estate in the UK.

The couple are said to have bought a 58-acre plot in the Cotswolds for their mansion.

On the land is a derelict shack near an algae-filled lake.

Permission has been granted for a spectacular seven-bed property.

Development is allowed under a special exemption clause in the Government’s National Planning Policy Framework. It gives permission for new homes in rural locations where planning would typically be refused.

To qualify the design must be of “exceptional quality . . . truly outstanding, reflecting the highest standards in architecture”.

It has been dubbed the “rich person clause” because of the millions of pounds required to override regular restrictions.

Planning permission for the development in Oxfordshire was granted in 2021 but work never started.

The plot was later marketed for £7.5million with the permission attached and has been sold — with Texas Hold ’Em singer Beyoncé, 44, and 99 Problems rapper Jay-Z, 56, believed to be the purchasers.

The listing stated the property is “totally unique”, adding “The site for the new house is at the head of a long drive that meanders through beautiful countryside to a magical woodland lake.

“The start of the drive is on the edge of a sought-after village and is within striking distance of Soho Farmhouse.

“Permission has been granted to create a large contemporary dwelling that part-cantilevers over its own lake, has incredible room volumes throughout, will be exceptionally light and have stunning views over the countryside.

“The position and the permission are unrivalled.”

Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their children live in California but have made several trips to the area.

Stars Jeremy Clarkson, Claudia Winkleman and David and Victoria Beckham live nearby.

But locals have concerns about an influx of A-listers. One 71-year-old, who has lived there for more than 60 years, said: “My grandson will think this is wonderful that they are coming here. I think it will change the village.”
