CHRISTMAS is months away for most of us – in the town of Bridlington, they’re already brushing off their Santa hats.
The seaside town in East Yorkshire will celebrate the festive season four months early with Santa’s Grotto and carol singing on the beach.
Between 10am and 4pm on August 5, Bridlington will transform into a winter wonderland – kind of.
Called Bridmas, the day is filled with events, lots of which are completely free.
On the beach is where it’s at with the local choir performing Christmas carols throughout the day.
There will be a festive face painter, an elf and bubble show and Christmas craft sessions.
Games will be held throughout the day too like Dress the Snowman, Dodge the Bauble, and Flying Reindeers.
Kids can talk about what they want for Christmas this year at Santa’s beach grotto.
On the promenade will be live music from the local brass band and organ player.
Around the town, visitors will find the Christmas market and a Christmas Cracker Trail.
In the local library will be free Christmas Story Time, crafting, a treasure hunt, and festive Lego building.
At Bridlington Spa, visitors can watch the Grinch movie for free at 1.30pm, make sure to book tickets in advance.
Over at Sowerby Gardens is a Mr Bubbles Christmas Show, bubble display, and face painting.
