A BRAND new aquapark that is the “biggest in the region” is set to open this summer.
Featuring slides, climbing walls and an obstacle course, the inflatable waterpark is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
Located at Anderton Centre near Bolton and Chorley, the brand new North West Aqua Park will be open to the public from August 3.
It is set against the stunning backdrop of Lower Rivington Reservoir, a mid-19th century lake in Lancashire.
The inflatable park promises a day out full of water-based fun, including slides, balance beams, climbing walls and splash zones.
Aimed at visitors aged six and over, the water attraction will have a full-time, fully qualified lifeguard team on site.
Visitors are able to pre-book online now, and the park expects demand to be high throughout the summer.
Tickets for a one-hour session cost £20.
Jason Pendlebury, chief executive of the Anderton Centre, said: “We are incredibly excited to open the North West Aqua Park and welcome our first visitors on August 3.
“This has been a project that has involved a huge amount of planning, partnership working and commitment from many people, and we’re immensely proud to see it become a reality.
“We believe the Aqua Park will become one of the North West’s premier outdoor attractions, bringing new visitors to the area while encouraging people of all ages to get active, enjoy the outdoors and create lasting memories with family and friends.
