The winner of Celebrity Big Brother appears to have been decided by fans just days before the star-studded finale. Since it kicked off earlier this month, the reality show on ITV has provided a whole heap of drama showing the celebrities in all sorts of predicaments.

After Mickey Rourke’s bombshell exit and Ella Rae Wise bursting into tears following the live nominations last night, some famous faces have fared better than others – with one in particular getting the viewers’ vote for the win. Taking to X after the latest episode of the show, many said they thought Coronation Street star, Jack P Shepherd was a shoo-in for the title, as they explained their reasons why.

Posting a snap of the actor, 37, nursing his obligatory cup of tea, one wrote: “Jack and his cup of tea for the win #cbbuk.” Another posted the same picture, declaring: “My winner” while a third posted: “A northern, tea-loving, business-minding man is my winner.”

Bookies also reckon Jack is set to win, with Simon Kew, spokesperson for Grosvenor Sport telling the Mirror: “Jack P. Shepherd has leapfrogged into the lead as the new 13/8 favourite. From an outsider at 20/1 just a week ago to topping the market, Jack’s now got the backing of both punters and Corrie fans. His ability to survive two evictions and his growing popularity suggests real momentum behind him now.”

Despite the daily drama in the star-studded house, Jack, seems to have kept a cool head. The actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in Coronation Street, ended up surviving the first eviction, but ended up being put up again.

However, after being saved by the public once more, the soap star’s votes have diminished as the drama ramps up elsewhere.

Jack is now on track for the final, which takes place on Friday (April 25), after he swerved being nominated for what looks to be a triple eviction on Tuesday night (April 22).

Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, Patsy Palmer, Ella Rae Wise and Angellica Bell are all facing the public vote with only two set to remain in the house following the next live eviction.

The decision was made during an nail-biting round of face-to-face nominations during Monday night’s (April 21) episode of CBB, and while there was tears and tantrums – Jack remained unfazed.

By the end of the episode, the actor was seen standing in the garden with a cup of tea, staring into space while the rest of the house dealt with the fallout of the nominations.

Fans were so impressed by Jack’s calm demeanour, they took to X, again declaring him the winner, with one saying: “Everyone losing the plot and Jack just sipping tea in the garden. That guy needs to win #CBBUK” while another shared: “Jack for the win. He is the only housemate who has been unashamedly himself throughout his time in the house.” Meanwhile, a third posted: “Okay Jack needs to win the show he is so quietly hysterical all while enjoying a lovely cup of tea #CBBUK.”
