BARGAIN holiday hunters can take advantage of On The Beach’s new price match offer – which they claim is a first for the industry.

The package holiday company has introduced a brand-new initiative promising holidaymakers the lowest price for their summer break.

On the Beach customers will be guaranteed the lowest price for their summer holiday, as long as they book it before February 3.

And if an On the Beach customer sees the price of their holiday drop between booking and 60 days before departure, they can claim the difference, regardless of the cost.

This means you could be refunded thousands if it drops that much in price.

The Price Drop Protection offer is valid for summer holidays in 2025.

Other companies offer holiday prices matches like Loveholidays, however this is only if a cheaper price is found within 24 hours of booking.

This is the same for Thomas Cook and easyJet holidays who offer a price match within 24 hours of booking a holiday if it is cheaper elsewhere.

And Virgin Atlantic offer price matches on flights up to 30 days after booking.

On the Beach introduced the scheme after research revealed that 40 per cent of Brits were anxious or stressed about not having their holiday booked.

There are plenty of package holidays included in the price protection schemes, including trips to Antalya, Rhodes, Costa Brava and Paphos.

For example, seven-night all-inclusive breaks at the five-star Royal Atlantis Icon in Antalya, Turkey, start from £509 per person.

Why it’s important to buy travel insurance when booking a holiday

The package holiday also includes return flights from London Gatwick Airport as well as free lounge access.

Meanwhile, On the Beach has package holidays to Rhodes, including return flights from Gatwick Airport, from £538 per person.

Stays will be at the four-star Hotel Sunshine Rhodes – a beachfront hotel with pools.

Other bargains include seven-night stays in Costa Brava for £543pp, or seven nights in Paphos for £453pp.

Flights depart from Liverpool John Lennon Airport on May 19.

Zoe Harris, who is the chief customer officer at On the Beach, said: “We know that a whopping 75 per cent of holiday wanting Brits are worried about prices going up if they wait, yet many are willing to take the risk to see if they can secure a better deal.

“We’re now eliminating all risk, anxiety, stress and worry for customers with our industry first Price Drop Protection.

“Customers are guaranteed the lowest price and if it does drop, fear not, because you can claim the difference back!”

Should I book a package holiday?

WHEN booking a holiday it’s hard to know whether you should book everything individually, or let someone do all the booking for you.

Consumer expert Harry Wallop believes that all-inclusive deals offer peace of mind to holidaymakers, especially those who aren’t experienced with holiday booking, with rising prices also a consideration.

He told Sun Online Travel: “Package holidays seem to be enjoying quite a bit of a revival because you can more or less book now and know that is the price you’re going to end up paying, especially if it’s all-inclusive.

“It gives people the peace of mind that, though prices are going up and up, you know what you will end up paying for your holiday.”

However, booking flights and accommodation can also work out to be a more cost-effective option for people, if they know where to look.

So it’s up to the individual holidaymaker to pick which is the best option for them.

The news comes after On the Beach launched month-long all-inclusive holidays for just £20 a day, including flights.

And this is the holiday booking ‘sweet spot‘ that saves passengers hundreds of pounds.
