The partywear company, which has worked with some well-loved celebs, still owes customers their refunds and has warned they will now be harder to claim.

Helen Flanagan has previously launched a collection for mum and daughters with the company and starred alongside her daughter Matilda in the campaign.

Love Island star Shaughna Phillips landed a deal with the brand following her stint on the show.

The company is owned by brothers Gio and Daniel Najar, who appeared on Channel 4 show The Job Interview, which saw contestants try to win a junior designer role with them.

Chi Chi has now been bought by Reem, who plan to trade on the same platform, but customers are worried they won’t get any refunds.

One person complained on Trustpilot: “Returned within days of receiving and still haven’t had my money back 5 weeks after returning it.

“I received an email 3 weeks after returning to say it could take a further 28 days to process and 2-4 days for the refund to appear in my bank account. Personally, I think this is appalling service and won’t buy from them again. The company are quick enough to take your money but not give it back!”

A second said: “Ordered multiple dresses/outfit for my daughter for event and returned these in June and still have not recieved refund. Have had to open dispute through paypal. Absolute joke quick to take money but don’t want to give it back. Contacted with no help from them for refund before opening dispute will never order again.”

While a third added: “I ordered two dresses in July, they arrived and totally different designs than that online. I sent them back and had email apologising and would send refund.

“This did not happen and more correspondence promising refund I received yet again promises and surprise surprise Chi Chi have gone bust. Not a chance of getting my money back. They promised on 8th September refund although they weren’t solvent. I received my email tonight stating this.”
