A Sydney man charged with selling information about national security is due to face court today.
Alexander Csergo, 55, was arrested in Bondi yesterday following a joint ASIO and Counter Foreign Interference Taskforce investigation.
Federal Police say two foreign intelligence officers contacted a man offering him payment for information about Australian defence, economic and national security arrangements.
Police say the man compiled reports for them and accepted the money.
Mr Csergo is in custody and due to face court in Parramatta.
More to come.
