Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show kicks off at 8:30am on Saturday 15 April.

Alongside the ladies will be Katie Piper whose second series of her Breakfast Show will also air the same weekend.

Head of Entertainment Commisioning for ITV1 and ITVX, Katie Rawcliffe said of the new shows: “In Katie, Oti and Laura we have three dynamic, engaging broadcasters who bring energy and flair to our weekend schedules. Each of their shows will give viewers that perfect weekend wake up call.”

It is the second new show that Laura has landed with ITV after deciding to quit Love Island after three series.

Laura has landed a new batch of documentaries looking at women’s issues.

The Sun revealed that as part of going back to her journalistic roots, the former Love Island host will look at the subject of rough sex.

It is an important theme that could not be more relevant in an age when increasingly violent pornography has warped young people’s minds.

A TV insider said: “Rough sex is a subject that taps into the grey areas that come with certain behaviours and how we navigate them.

“We’re a society which is increasingly exposed to violence via the internet and that can lead to problems when that manifests itself in real life.

“As in so many similar situations, that often means women bear the brunt of those problems, which is what Laura will be looking at in the doc.”
