A grieving father has paid a heartfelt tribute to his daughter after she died in what police have described as suspicious circumstances in the early hours of Monday morning.

Jacqui Purton, 37, was hit by a car at a rural Campania property, north of Hobart, at about 3:30am.
The woman was found by first responders and was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a post to Facebook, Ms Purton’s father Scott wrote, “my heart and my family’s hearts have been ripped apart in a tragic day for us”.
“Jacqui, U will always be loved and remembered by us all,” he wrote.
“To my grandkids, words cannot express how your mum loved U all.
“My heart goes out to U all luv a father and a grandfather RIP my buitiful [sic] daughter”.
In a post on an online fundraising platform, Ms Purton’s sister Zoe said she was writing “under the most cruellest circumstances”.
“Anyone who knew Jacqui knew how loving and caring her soul was.
“I want to try take off as much pressure from my beautiful family during this suffering and loss, if the shoe was on the other foot Jacqui would do anything for anyone.”
A 38-year-old man is in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.
On Monday, Detective Acting Inspector Nicholas Bowden said evidence located at the scene “would suggest the female has been struck by a car” and that “she suffered multiple trauma and she was located deceased”.
A white car at the scene, which police said was not registered to the man in custody, has been towed away and “will be subject to further forensic investigation”.
