This video review has pushed shoppers to think of what any size smaller would fit like, as it runs smaller than most would anticipate.
Youtuber @ilovevampiress tried the Skims sweatsuit in a recent video, and found the fit to be quite a disappointment.
“This does not look extra large,” she said. “Extra large on who, Kim?
“It’s really soft, it’s really comfortable, don’t get me wrong…
“The pants are really big, but the top isn’t.”
After turning the camera sideways to get a full body view of the rosy two-piece jogger, the Youtuber pulled on the middle of the Skims pants and said, “Look how big…this is where the crotch is right there.”
Pulling on the bright pink top, she said, “This is really snug fitting, and this isn’t even after I’ve washed it.”
It was assumed that because “It’s all sold out,” she “can’t really do anything about it.”
She admits that it is “really soft, the quality is really good, the pink is the perfect shade of pink,” but urged viewers to think about “what extra, extra small would be like, or small in general.
“It’d be a cropped Brandy hoodie,” she said presumably in reference to the notoriously tiny one size fits most retailer Brandy Melville.
“You get that hoodie at the children’s place,” she added about the small-running Skims top.
“And then you see the pants are like…it’s literally giving Aladdin.”
Unsure about whether Skims allows exchanges, she said, “I’m gonna have to text corporate.”
The video finished with the sweatsuit getting a six out of ten rating.
In the description for the video, the Youtuber reiterated that there is “no reason the crotch should be mopping the floor.”
Hinting at a superior Skims dupe, they also wrote in the description that they could “head to Costco and get better quality and with my memebership card way better price.”
