The Cirque Du Soleil took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall to perform part of their new show, Cabinet of Curiosities.

Viewers were thrilled to see the circus collective as part of the ITV broadcast, which was filmed earlier this month.

However, many hit out that the performance was “ruined” after spotting a blunder which meant the magic was spoiled.

While many fans thought the stunt, which saw a man climb up stacked chairs to pose upside-down, was being done without any form of harness to help.

The bright lights and camera angles meant that the safety wires used to hold up some of the performers were visible.

Hitting out on Twitter, one hit out about the act: “Seeing the safety wire took away the tense feeling.”

Another chimed in: “They have safety ropes. Where’s the danger in that? Always health and safety rules…”

“Are we supposed to be impressed by safety harnesses?” a third said, while a fourth added: “Be better if he wasn’t wearing a harness.”

It comes after Royal Variety Performance fans have all been left saying the same thing about host Lee Mack’s voice.

The comedian – who is hosting the ITV broadcast – appeared to have a different voice during his opening segment.

Fans of Lee, 54, flooded social media to complain that they thought the star had made his voice sound more “posh”.

They speculated that he altered his accent in order to cater to the Royals, who watched on from the royal box.

Prince Edward and his wife Countess of Wessex, Sophie, represented the family at the coveted event this year.

Speaking directly to the Royals, fans couldn’t help but speculate that Lee had changed his accent to suit them.

“Just me or has Lee Mack poshed his voice up slightly?” one Royal Variety viewer wrote to Twitter minutes into the show.
