Sunny Beach, a popular seaside resort town located on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, has grown to become the largest tourist draw in the country – and is loved for its cheap pints
A picturesque seaside town in Europe, famed for its expansive sandy beaches and lively nightlife, is so affordable that a pint of beer will set you back just 80p. Sunny Beach, a bustling resort town nestled on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, has emerged as the country’s top tourist hotspot.
The coastal town draws holidaymakers from across Europe, especially during the summer season when the climate is delightfully warm and sunny. Not only are the pints cheap, but accommodation can also be snapped up for as little as £10 per night, according to a new documentary series titled Emergency on Sunny Beach.

Sunny Beach caters to all types of travellers with a wide range of lodging options, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly stays, reports the Express.
Besides its stunning beaches, the town is home to an array of restaurants, bars, and clubs, perfect for those keen to immerse themselves in the vibrant nightlife.
Beyond sunbathing and partying, Sunny Beach offers a plethora of activities and attractions, including water sports, amusement parks, and cultural trips to nearby towns and historical landmarks.
The bustling resort provides something for everyone, whether you’re after a relaxing beach day or a day filled with excitement and entertainment. However, it’s not without its challenges.
Each year, Sunny Beach reportedly has to draft in an additional 40 police officers and 130 lifeguards to ensure the safety of its visitors.
On the programme, a policewoman paints a vivid picture of her nightly encounters: “At night the central part of the resort goes through a change, the clubs open, it’s full of people with loose morals, a lot of drugs and booze.”
She further characterises the typical British tourist as having: “In my view the usual British tourist looks like this – fair skin, a bit chubby and wearing as little clothing as possible, always very loud and covered in tattoos.
“Compared to other nationalities the British tourists are always very loud and jolly.”
A fellow officer chimed in, stating: “The British people cause the most problems because they can’t drink.”
