THOSE EastEnders stars know how to party and last night they had a lot to celebrate.

After they marked 40 years on the box with a live broadcast, the cast were treated to a boozy bash which saw the soap’s legendary star Patsy Palmer DJing.

When Patsy, 52, isn’t busy playing Bianca she is also known for her work as a DJ, so it was only natural she would hit the decks.

Sharing a video from her DJ booth, the soap star showed all the cast and crew having a whale of a time as they enjoyed the wrap party.

Kathy Mitchell actress Gillian Taylforth was seen dancing away, as she pulled people in for a hug.

Natalie Cassidy, who recently left the soap, was also having a boogie.

Jacqueline Jossa also looked like she was having fun.

Her fellow co-stars were also seen joining in on the action, as they toasted to EastEnders; 40th anniversary.

ALL PARTIED OUT

The Sun revealed earlier today how the stars of the soap were seen looking all partied out as they left the celebrations.

Stars including Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter, and Jay Brown actor Jamie Borthwick looked ready for bed as they were snapped exciting the after-show bash.

Diane Parish, who had a starring role in the live episode as Denise Fox – could hardly keep her eyes open in the taxi.

And her on-screen daughter Zaraah Abrahams [Chelsea Fox] looked sleepy as she caught a ride home.

ENDER OF THE ROAD

EastEnders fans were left devastated last night when it was confirmed Martin Fowler [James Bye] had died following the explosion at the Queen Vic.

The character has been a part of EastEnders since 1985 and James, 40, joined the cast in 2014.

Addressing his shock exit, he said: “Saying goodbye is not easy, but after 10 years at EastEnders and on the night of the shows epic 40th anniversary – the time felt right. 

“It’s an honour to leave on a story of this magnitude. 

“A huge thank you to all the fans of the show – EastEnders wouldn’t be what it is without you – and to the BBC and EastEnders team for trusting me with this role for so many years.”
