Experienced Welsh all-rounder James Harris has signed a two-year contract with Glamorgan through until 2026.

Harris, 34, rejoined the county in 2022 after a nine-year spell with Middlesex.

Born in Morriston, he made his first-class debut in 2007 when he became the youngest bowler to take a Championship wicket for Glamorgan, aged just 16 years and 351 days.

In 2024 he took his 600th first-class wicket and passed 5,000 career runs.

“I’m very happy to extend my contract at Glamorgan, as a born and bred Welshman, there is nothing that makes me more proud than to wear the daffodil on my chest,” said Harris.

He is the eighth player since the end of the 2024 campaign to sign a contract for the county, who are coached by Grant Bradburn and will again be captained by Sam Northeast and Kiran Carlson in 2025.

“I’m excited at the direction of travel and believe fully in the work that Grant, Sam and Kiran are leading; I’m looking forward to playing my part over the next couple of seasons,” Harris added.
