Skip if: You want superior sound quality or a more luxury/premium design.

What our reviewer said: “First impressions at the set itself may be vanilla but inside it packs plenty of content to keep any telly lover happy. The display beams beautifully but the audio lets the side down. But if you love Amazon products like Alexa and Ring, this will complete your Amaz-ing family without breaking the bank.”

Rating: 3/5 by Jamie Harris. Read the full Fire TV review here.

3. Simba Hybrid® Pillow, £87 (was £109)

Skip if: You don’t like your pillows on the firmer side and are on a tight budget.

What our reviewer said: “Excellent at regulating heat and seriously comfortable to sleep on, the Hybrid works very hard for its premium price tag.

“The beauty of Simba’s Hybrid Pillow is twofold: firstly, its interior, which is filled with hundreds of ‘nanocubes’ and surrounded by a hypoallergenic microfibre layer, blends the sumptuous softness of a feather pillow with the assured support and gentle firmness of memory foam.”

4. Shark Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaner, £189.99 (was £299.99)

8

Skip if: You want something more affordable or you are less mobile and need something lightweight to manoeuvre around your home.

What our reviewer said: “I was impressed with how easy it was to set up, use and empty afterwards – and how smart and stylish it looks.

“I love how versatile it is, so you can use it how you like – whether you want to push an upright vacuum cleaner, lift off the lightweight, detachable pod and still use the wand and floorhead, or use the handle with the smaller attachments.

“The only real negative for me was the accessories not fitting on as smoothly as everything else and an issue with the pipe clip, but overall, it was really easy and intuitive to set up and use, and its cleaning power was top quality.”

What our reviewer said: “The eufy X10 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum Cleaner is really simple to use once you work your way around the app.

“It is great at picking up the cat and dog hair around my house as well as the endless crumbs from two hungry teens.

“It’s not going to replace my corded Henry yet as it is limited in what it can do. But the more I use the X10 the more I love it.”

Rating:  4/5 reviewed by Sinead McIntyre. Read our full Eufy X10 Pro Omni review here.

Skip if: If you have a very small kitchen this may take up too much counter space.

What our reviewer said: “This is Ninja’s best-selling air fryer, and I can see why. It’s such a versatile help in the kitchen.

“The non-stick, pull-out drawers and their inner trays are robust and look like they’d withstand some heavy use. I also found them easy to clean.”

What home and garden deals to expect on Prime Day?

Whether you’re doing DIY or looking to replace a piece of furniture or home appliance, the Amazon Prime Day sale in October – aka Prime Big Deal Days – is a great place to find a bargain.

Over the event, Prime members will be able to shop an array of exclusive offers including flash offers, which are often referred to as ‘lightning deals’ and are only available for a very limited time or while stock lasts.
