Aimed at school-age kids, the navy blue crew neck featured the letters ‘K, N, O, B’ on the front and was stocked as part of Poundland’s autumn/ winter Pepco clothing range.

“I chose not to buy this KNOB jumper for my son.”

Alerting Poundland to the woman’s complaint on X, another wrote: “Erm?! I am not the original author of this post, but were you aware?”

Poundland replied: “We are aware of the post and have already reported this to our Quality Assurance team. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.”

Poundland has since confirmed to The Sun that the jumper has been removed from sale.

A spokesman said: “It’s actually NKOB – New Kids on the Block – but they understand how it might be misinterpreted so they took it out of stores.”
