A POKÉMON trading card hailed as one of the world’s rarest could sell for more than £40,000.
The fourth-print Charizard holographic is from a set made only during a two-week period in the UK around 2000.
And only around 20 per cent of boxes had them.
Collector Jon Free, 32, who is selling the card, said: “This is literally the rarest print run of the most well-known set.”
“I’m sad to see this particular card go but sometimes life has to take priority.”
Jon, of Great Blakenham, Suffolk, added his Charizard has “slightly altered artwork” — and has the highest grading for any fourth-print card.

“This card is a piece of Pokémon history and a niche gem of the most iconic card ever made.
“An absolute must for any serious collector.”
It will be sold by Richard Winterton Auctioneers in Lichfield, Staffs, on September 30 with a guide price of £12,000.
However, a similar card went for £40,000-plus.
The most paid for a Pokémon card was the £4.35million spent by YouTuber Logan Paul on a rare Pikachu in 2022.
