Israel’s army says that top Hamas military commander, Mohammed Deif, was killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza on July 13.
There was no immediate confirmation from the Palestinian group.
Deif was targeted in a massive attack on Khan Younis in southern Gaza that also killed at least 90 people and wounded 300 others.
