It is believed others may now come forward, adding to his costs.
Chums of Glitter have sought advice on the best deal for his £2million central London pad.
The fallen star, real name Paul Gadd, 80, may be in contempt of court if he fails to pay up.
A source said: “Glitter absolutely does not want to pay this money.
“He is furious about it.
“But he knows it could land him in further trouble — so he is looking at selling.”
Glitter got 16 years in 2015 for sexually abusing girls in the ’70s and ’80s.
He was freed last year but recalled to jail for breaching his licence.
