Commenting on a Reddit post, user Spiritual-Hornet-658 broke down her hair routine.

The mom explained that she has “extremely curly hair” that reaches her mid-stomach when flat ironed.

She shared the steps she takes to combat frizz and keep her hair tamed.

“My secret is I wash [the] roots daily and condition [the] length with [a] good conditioner,” she explained.

She also revealed the best way to brush your hair to prevent unwanted volume.

“[Use a] wet brush, the kind with two sets of bristles, in the shower to evenly distribute the conditioner and remove tangles,” she said.

“Lightly towel dry, and brush again with [a] regular paddle brush, then a good squeeze dry with towel and style.”

The Reddit user also went into detail about how often she washes her locks.

“When washing, most [people] wash the whole hair but it’s the scalp and hair base that really needs the scrub,” she explained.

“Any loose dirt or bad stuff should rinse off the rest of the hair when you rinse the scalp.”

She explained that focusing on the roots “stimulates the natural oil glands in the scalp to release.”

Next, she used a wet brush to “evenly distribute the conditioner and easily detangle pain-free.”

The poster also shared a product recommendation that she said instantly elevates your hair.

“It’s a trimmer that only cuts an eight to a quarter inch off the end of each hair even at different lengths,” she explained.

The Reddit user described the purchase as “a major upgrade to your haircare kit.”

COMBAT SPLIT ENDS

The Cordless Split Ender Pro 2 Trimmer is available for $170 from Amazon.

For the best results, the curly-haired woman recommended flat ironing your hair and running the product through it “once a month or so.”

“It removes all the dead ends on your hair even the ends of broken strands that cause flyaways, frizzies, and tangles,” she explained.

She revealed that her hacks work for both her and her curly-haired daughter.

“Honestly, neither of us can really brush our hair dry, it poofs too much or we break brushes.”
