Audrey Abbott is the adopted daughter of Governor Greg Abbott and his wife, Cecilia Phalen Abbott.

According to her LinkedIn page, she’s pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

She held internships at Broadcast Music Inc. and LiveNation and currently works as an event coordinator with 8VC, a technology and bio-sciences investment firm.

Previously, she was heavily involved in her father’s political career.

At an event on March 4, 2014, she introduced him as the GOP nominee for the next governor of Texas.

She continued to campaign for her father throughout the state at various events through the years.

Audrey was last prominently featured at her father’s inauguration in 2019.

Audrey Abbott got engaged to her college sweetheart in November 2023.

He proposed to her in a Texas summer camp in front of her family and friends.

Greg Abbott tweeted about the proposal, saying, “My little girl is now all grown up and engaged to her college sweetheart.”

The tweet continued, “I am proud of the young woman she has become, the relationships she has built, and the future for her and her fiancé.”

Who are Audrey Abbott’s parents?

Little is known about Audrey’s birth parents or the circumstances of her adoption.

Greg Abbott and Cecilia Phalen tied the knot in 1981.

The pair met while both attending the University of Texas at Austin.

Cecilia is a former educator and the first Hispanic First Lady of Texas.
