Although she gave the artist a reference, she couldn’t help but feel bad after receiving the “world’s ugliest banana.”

Marie (@marieaarm) shared the bad tattoo in a TikTok video.
“I’ve never instantly regretted getting a tattoo until this one I got yesterday,” she said.
She explained that she had a handful of tattoos, including an old banana tattoo on the side of her index finger.
“It completely faded,” she said.
She explained that although she’s had to get her tattoos re-done frequently, the banana tattoo faded completely.
When her boyfriend headed off to get a new tattoo, he invited her to come with him.
“My boyfriend told me he had a tattoo appointment and that he was getting a tattoo done by this artist who’s really good,” she said.
Marie decided to go with him to get her banana tattoo fixed up.
Upon arriving, however, she realized that not only was everyone speaking Spanish, but her artist was not the same artist who was doing her boyfriend’s tattoos.
Despite the language barrier, she didn’t think there would be any issues considering she had a reference photo to show him.
“He goes ahead and starts freehanding, adding on the rest of the banana to what he can already see and sketching it,” she said.
“I didn’t expect him to print a stencil because you’d have to size it perfectly so I’m like, freehand, fine, you’re an artist.”
Once the tattoo was finished, however, she couldn’t help but get emotional.
“I look at it and I am trying not to cry. I know these are stupid, silly, little goofy tattoos, and maybe to you, it doesn’t matter how the f**k they look but I actually care,” she said.
“I actually liked my original banana and I thought it was adorable and you just put the ugliest piece of s**t on my body ever that I have to live with.”
Revealing the tattoo, she couldn’t help but get angry.
“I have the world’s ugliest banana tattoo on my finger. Slay,” she said.
