Erica Taylor (@ericataylor2347) filmed herself sharing the beauty switch ups in a video on TikTok.

“As we get into our later 30s, our skin will start to change, and the makeup that you were doing for the last ten or 20 years will not work anymore, but I’m a 47 year old makeup artist, so I got you,” she said.

First, she recommended making sure the face is optimally exfoliated for the makeup to go on a smooth canvas.

She used the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads, which sell for $38 at Sephora.

She also stressed the importance of using oils to lock in moisture, including Go Pure Vitamin C Oil, $49, for the face and Kora Organics Noni Radiant Eye Oil, $42.

Taylor also pointed out that most, if not all, formulations should be creamy rather than powdery and contain skincare.

“This is a Tinted Serum by Typology [$42.90], and it just gives more of a glow and a second-skin looking finish instead of looking cakey and heavy,” she said.

She also suggested the Makeup by Mario Softsculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer, $32.

“Placement of your blush might start to go a little higher. Where before we did the apple, and now we’re pulling up a high apple, because that apple starts to fall from the tree,” she said.

She used Milk Makeup’s Lip and Cheek Cream Blush Stick, which sells for $24 at Sephora.

I’m 47 & did a full face of Dollar Tree makeup – it’s as good as anything, the ‘ageless concealer’ has a great addition

She had her eyes set on a creamy shadow by Charlotte Tilbury that adds a glow in one foul swoop.

“It’s also a time in our lives that we’re really busy and we’ve got a lot going on, so a one shadow lift that doesn’t look dusty or crusty is an easy way to go,” she added.

She recommended changing up the eyeliner routine from yesteryear to accentuate the eyes.

“As we approach our later 30s and beyond, our lashes also will get a little thinner, so let’s thicken those back up with a nice, soft pencil,” she advised.

Instead of a traditional lip gloss, she recommended opting for a lip oil.

“Always have the lip oils handy so we look nice and fresh,” she added, using Clarins’ Lip Oil, $30.
