Occasional Digest - a story for you

A WOMAN was left in shock after discovering her adorable Shih Tzu puppy wasn’t quite what she thought it was.

The woman who has started a social media channel for her dog under the name, Just a Happy Boy, paid £200 ($250) for her dream breed.

From the start her pet pooch didn’t look like a regular Shih Tzu puppy, it lacked the curly across the face and had a more extended nose.

But clearly she didn’t think much of it when she brought him home, maybe she assumed he would grow into his fur and nose.

She wrote: “I bought a $250 Shih Tzu puppy off of Craigslist.”

However, as time passed it was clear that something didn’t add up.

In the clip she shared a snap of him as a puppy and while he had a resemblance of the tiny dog, it was clear to see he was a mixed-breed.

You got a gargoyle I think that’s way cooler.

The next clip showed what he looks like now, and it confirms she didn’t quite get what she paid for.

Instead of growing into his curls or nose, he developed an underbite and had a smooth coat of fur along his body.

The puppy sat in the corner of the room giving the camera his best grin as he showed off his unique features.

It turns out, that instead of getting a pure breed Shih Tzu like she was promised, the dog has in fact been mixed with a pitbull.

You can clearly tell by the dogs underbite and muscular body frame that it is a Pitbull, but his owner loves him still the same.

I’m a dog expert and there are 3 breeds I’d never recommend including the pooch that’s a total ‘powerhouse’ and can be very aggressive

“Your sign to buy a Craigslist dog,” she captioned the post.

Her TikTok account is full of pictures of the adorable pooch running around and causing chaos or begging for cuddles.

The clip posted to the account @justahappyboy has since gone viral with over 7million views and 350k likes.

People quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts on the dog, with some claiming it was an ‘atrocity.’

One person wrote: “that is…an atrocity lol respectfully.”

Another commented: “That’s a Wish-Tzu,” joking it was a knock-off dog, like many of the items sold on the fast-fashion Chinese retailer Wish.

“Is the Shih tzu in the room with us,” penned a third.

Meanwhile many found the unique looking pup adorable, a fourth said: “Ok but that face is worth every penny! He’s kinda priceless.”

“You got a gargoyle I think that’s way cooler,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “That is the Temu version but I think he’s perfect. Them teef!!!!”
