One woman has revealed that she got a huge meat haul with dozens of reductions – simply because of when she arrived.
It wasn’t just few a extra drumsticks either, with the woman later sharing her impressive haul on Facebook.
Posting in the Yellow Sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls group, she revealed that she’d been shopping in Morrisons when she’d come across the incredible reductions.
Among the various meats on offer were two large pork fillets, which had been £3.90 each before going on sale for just £1.56 and £1.49 respectively.
There was also a hefty beef steak worth a whopping £12.65, as well as multiple ribeye and pork ribs for a few pounds each.
One packet of lamb chops even came with mint sauce which would be perfect for a Sunday roast, as there were plenty of trimmings.
Whilst the butcher’s selection should have cost roughly £50, the savvy shopper revealed that she paid less than £30.
Gushing about her haul, she wrote: “Got there at the right time about 4.45pm yesterday, should have been £55 [but I] paid £28 and yes, I took most of it as I’m never this lucky.”
In the comments below, the happy customer revealed that it was the first time she’d got so many yellow label deals after months of trying to arrive in time.
She said: “[They put them out] just before five at my Morrison, this is the first time I’ve been there for that time.”
According to the Facebook user, her local branch will also reduce items between 1-2pm on weekend but this had been her ‘lucky day’.
Though the Morrisons customer was delighted with her shop, not everyone in the Facebook group was impressed by how much she’d bagged.
In fact, one miffed member commented: “I would have only taken what I needed. Not the whole lot. I would have left some for someone else.”
Others, however, were excited about seeing so many expensive items on offer.
“I would have been so elated driving home with that lot, so well done…right place right time,” wrote another user, adding: “It shows there are bargains out there to be had.”
It seems that this isn’t the only Morrisons shopper bagging a bargain though.
In fact, another member shared that they’d bought an entire salmon for next to nothing.
Rather than spending £23 on the fish, the happy customer got it the entire fillet for just £9.44 – including the head.
Though others might feel a little squeamish about the supermarket offer, it seems Morrisons is the go-to-destination for yellow sticker deals.
For those wanting to find their own bargains in store, you’ll need to hit the checkout between 3-5pm if you want to find the best discounts.
Don’t despair if you miss this time slot though, as the supermarket will also reduce more items at 8pm on weeknights.
