So if you’re looking to cut back on the price of your food shopping, then you’ve come to the right place.
Kathryn Leech, who is known on social media as Kat Saves, often shares her top tips and tricks on how to shop smarter and save money.
The bargain hunter, who is from Manchester, recently explained that her favourite place to get her groceries is M&S.
She swore by the Remarksable Value items and hailed the supermarket for it’s top notch quality.
Posting online, Kat asked her followers: “Where do you prefer to shop? M&S honestly takes the top spot for me because of its value range and the meal deals… and I can splash out on some of the more pricey treats now and then.”

She then filmed in her local M&S, as she said: “M&S is becoming cheaper than Aldi and I save so much money by shopping here, so let me take you through my food shop today so you can see exactly what I’m talking about.”
Despite Aldi being hailed ‘the cheapest supermarket’ for the third year running in 2023, Kat admitted that she much prefers M&S, as she added: “First off, let’s look at these prices – these are Remarksable Value products.
“Everything that I’m getting in this food shop today is a Remarksable Value product.
“These are incredibly low prices, honestly they rival the budget supermarkets, but you’re getting M&S quality and that’s why I love it so much.
“Also, look at the shelves – the shelves are always well stocked, it always looks incredible.
“I have the best experience shopping in M&S so today this entire food shop came to literally less than £20 and I literally filled my trolley with all of these staple products.
“It’s definitely worth checking out if you want to save a little bit of money but also have that high quality.”
Proudly showing off her shopping trolley, Kat was able to buy two bags of chicken legs, beef mince, bran flakes cereal, fusilli pasta, bread, long grain rice, milk, cooking oil and teabags.
Not only this, but she also got a number of fresh items too, as she also nabbed iceberg lettuce, Greek style yoghurt, eggs, tomatoes and some jarred items.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @katsaves, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 117,200 views in just one day.
Social media users were eager to share their thoughts in the comments, as many praised the value and quality of the food in M&S.
One person said: “Pick M&S over any supermarket. We found it cheaper than our local Morrisons and Tesco and much better quality.”
Another added: “Dates are so good as well. I love it!”
A third commented: “Don’t have to tell me twice.”
Whilst someone else claimed: “My kids can notice the difference too. Best quality and good value by far.”
At the same time, someone else wrote: “Great yellow sticker section too.”
