Yet Georgia, who shot to fame on Love Island‘s 2018 series, has faced a tough time in her personal life since becoming a household name.

She first opened up on her conman ex back in 2019 and exclusively told The Sun how she was “too terrified to sleep and fearing for her life” after discovering the “huge sum of money” missing.

The TV star’s world came crumbling down when The Sun Online revealed her new lover was convicted fraudster Medi Abalimba.

The one-time Derby County player – who Georgia met in a club – was jailed in 2014 for pretending to be ex-Chelsea footballer Gael Kakuta.

He would break into lockers at a private health club to steal credit card details before splurging on designer clothes and five-star hotels.

Georgia told us: “Because I’m a good person, if I see a broken person or a person upset, I really like to fix it.

“I thought I could fix him and accept his past and everything. But I didn’t understand how bad his past was.

“I had no idea of how capable he was, because I would never be with someone who could hurt people like that. The stories kept coming out and things kept getting worse.”

She said: “I went on my online banking and I noticed a drastic amount had just gone. I was in my flat and I’ve never been in a situation like that in my life.

“I was physically sick. I sat on my sofa and thought I was going to faint.”

Back in 2021, her ex was again jailed, this time for conning footballer Thierry Henry’s ex wife in a £160,000 scam.

He admitted 15 counts of fraud between 1 January 2021 and 1 March 2021 and was jailed for 50 months.

Abalimba has notched up 32 previous convictions, 20 of which are for fraud.

Season four star Georgia has now told show bosses how the ordeal has prompted a shift in how she looks at love.

Shortly ahead of All Stars she said: “I take that experience as a really positive reflection now.

“I look at it as something I had to go through to make me stronger and learn things in life for me to be able to learn what I want in my next partner.

“It’s a massive benefit for me as it makes me more knowledgeable and wiser on what I need to receive from a relationship.”

Back in her first Love Island season, the ‘loyal’ star eventually coupled up with Sam Bird and they left the villa together – but they only lasted three months on the outside and she confessed to The Sun that they were in a showmance.

She then went on to star in spin off Love Island Games.
