Emergency services charged to the address on Well Street, Hackney, shortly after 2.30am this morning.

Paramedics found a woman, who had been getting ready for a trip to Australia, at the scene.

After being dragged out the rubble she was rushed to hospital.

Her condition is unknown.

Shocking footage from the scene shows a pile of brick and mortar covering the lawn below the first floor flat.

The exact cause of the blast at Well Street Hall is being investigated but experts suspect a boiler malfunction.

The Metropolitan Police told The Sun they attended the scene.

A Spokesman for London Fire Brigade said: “Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a collapsed building on Well Street in Hackney at 0232 this morning.”
