Savvy shopper Tasha Jane explained that thanks to her hack, you won’t need to fork out on a Christmas tree or baubles this year – yes, you read that correctly.

Instead, this bargain hunter explained that she was able to give her home a festive feel, thanks to a £9.99 Amazon buy.

Tasha proudly took to social media to alert other shoppers to her Christmas decoration trick.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.3 million members, Tasha shared a video of her Christmas display, as she explained: “Cost £20 for a Whoville theme dining area!

“All from Amazon bought during Black Friday so prices have gone up slightly.

“I paid £9.99 for the backdrop, £10 for the lights (lights go up and down in price all the time) and used double sided tape to stick the lights to the backdrop.

“Easy and effective and my kids love it.”

So if your little darling loves The Grinch, this 7×5 foot Whoville Christmas backdrop is one you’ll need to check out.

The festive scene focuses around a large Christmas tree, with beautiful baubles, lights and presents underneath.

But not only this, the bargain buy depicts a scene from the classic Christmas film – which is bound to brighten up the face of many little ones this year.

Although the display is of a very high quality, with vibrant colours, Tasha also bought waterproof LED lighting, to further brighten up the festive display.

So if you fancy saving yourself some money and don’t have the time or energy to spend walking round the shops, this curtain trick could be one you’ll need to try.

But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen people use backdrops to give their home an impressive overhaul.

Earlier this year we saw bargain hunters give their dull gardens epic glow ups thanks to decorative shower curtains.

Many Facebook users took to the social media platform to show off their stunning gardens, including Matthew Knibbs, who used a shower curtain to bring some personality and style to the once plain area.

But he didn’t use any old shower curtain – Matthew’s shower curtain depicted a beautiful flowering oasis.

The curtain featured a stone wall, window and blue wooden shutters – exactly like those from a rustic French chateau.

He confirmed that he stapled his curtain to the fence and as a result, saved money on flowers and water.
