As part of the company’s brand shift to EE, the firm’s TV platform is set to undergo a visual refresh.

BT bought EE for £12.5billion back in 2015.

And the well-known British name has now decided to make EE its main consumer brand, meaning BT will virtually disappear as we know it today.

As part of that move, BT TV will become EE TV.

That means anyone with the box will notice a whole new look in early December.

But BT has assured customers that everything else will remain the same.

That includes the line-up of channels, any recordings and crucially your bills.

BT told ISPreview: “The switch over will happen automatically, so customers don’t need to do anything – all that changes will be a new look to their service – the actual service itself, any recordings, and the price they pay remains unimpacted.

“Moving forward customers will be able to enjoy all the great content they know and love today, as well as have the opportunity to access new services in the future.”

BT has already rebranded its Wi-Fi network under the EE name.

Customers are being encouraged to move their broadband to EE too.

The changes to BT TV are set to happen on December 6.

BT revealed its brand strategy plans last month along with faster EE Full Fibre 1.6Gbps internet.
