IS BRIDE Shamima Begum will exploit any error to overturn the decision to take away her British citizenship, the Court of Appeal heard.
She was said to be pinning her hopes on the likelihood that she no longer has dual Bangladeshi nationality because she has turned 21.
Home Office lawyer Sir James Eadie, KC, said it could be a game-changer in deciding her fate.
He added: “Any error will do because they know, in any future decision, statelessness will rear its head.”
Begum, from Bethnal Green, East London, travelled to Syria in 2015 aged 15, to join IS.
Home Secretary Sajid Javid revoked her British citizenship in 2019 on national security grounds.
Now 24, she lost a challenge against the ruling earlier this year and is now appealing.
The hearing continues.
