The entertainer, 39, from Coventry fought to save his right foot for two years after it was left severely damaged when he was hit head-on by a taxi in Tenerife.
But tragically medics were unable to save it and in 2017 his leg was amputated.
He fought to learn to walk and documented his journey online.
In his first YouTube video, Dylan explained that initially medics had save his foot after the accident but he could never really walk properly on it.
“Over the two years I’ve had problems with it,” he explained.
“It gets infected, it swells up when it’s hot, it hurts inside when it’s cold.
“Every month for the past year and a half I’ve had some sort of problem with it.
“I had a really, really serious infection three weeks ago, I woke up one day and I just could not walk on it, it was just absolute pain in my foot.
Dylan explained that he was at first given antibiotics but they didn’t work, he then went to hospital where he was put on a morphine drip for the pain and given more antibiotics.
But after the antibiotics didn’t work the second time, Dylan was told he would need a below-the-knee amputation.
Dylan said he decided to document the process on YouTube to serve as a guide to others who might find themselves in the same situation.
Now he’s part of ITV’s Big Brother launch cast and is excited for a new chapter.
He said: “I appeared on a TV show called The Last Leg about amputees – two years before I lost my leg!
“I always like meeting new people and having new hurdles to jump as an amputee.
“It’s going to be an interesting journey to see if I can do whatever we’re asked without having any problems with staying on my leg for a certain amount of time and doing all the tasks.”
