A member of a notorious outlaw motorcycle gang has been shot at a bikie run in Ballarat, west of Melbourne.

Victoria Police said the senior member of the Bandidos presented to a Ballarat hospital with a gun shot wound at 1.20am on Sunday.

Police believe the shooting occurred near the Bandidos club house and said the 29-year-old Ballarat man sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Bandidos descended on Ballarat this weekend for a national run, which was monitored by local police and Victoria Police’s anti-bikie taskforce.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and urge anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers.
