Occasional Digest - a story for you

A MAN who converted an old ambulance into his dream tiny home has showed off the incredible transformation.

Grant, from the US, took the 1997 ambulance and completely redesigned it over the course of a year and a half.

Because of his full time job, the DIY project took Grant longer than he expected, but the finished result is so worth it.

Speaking to Tiny Home Tours, he showed off the posh kitchen he created from scratch.

Grant decided to remove almost all of the existing cabinets from the ambulance, and just kept one above the kitchen sink for storage.

The most impressive for of the transformation though is the swivel dining table which instantly converts into a huge bed with a view of the 50 inch TV.

“[The table] just sinks down, you pull everything out and the cushions go in the middle, then I’ve got a giant bed,” Grant explained.

One of the major pros to converting an old ambulance rather than a similar sized van is all the extra storage on the outside, the DIY whizz noted.

“It’s really secure and there’s a tonne of space,” he said.

Impressively, Grant also added a huge roof deck with an umbrella for some added shade, making in the perfect spot to soak up some sun or star gaze.

After giving a tour of the space on YouTube, people were stunned by how expensive the finished ambulance looked.

One said: “It’s unbelievable how much you did with one small amount of space. WOW.”

A second agreed: “You nailed this is a terrific build great job.”

Meanwhile, others also loved the posh design but thought there should’ve been at least a small bathroom for emergencies.

“think this is great. I would say not having a bathroom would be awkward for me but its not my home its yours.

Very nice craftmanship you might want to at least consider a toilet,” one commented.
