Occasional Digest - a story for you

Morning, United fans

Sheikh Jassim is launching an eleventh-hour bid to buy United.

And Harry Kane and Neymar, plus Kim Min-jae, top the transfer gossip.

The Qatari sheikh remains eager to take over the Red Devils fully, despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos being the preferred bidder for a majority share.

If Ratcliffe succeeds, it would enable the current owners the Glazers to remain as minority shareholders.

And if Sheikh Jassim wins, PSG’s Brazil legend Neymar is said to remain a serious target.

Meanwhile, it’s claimed the representatives of fellow striker Kane have met PSG over a possible summer transfer.

The Tottenham striker and England skipper is United’s dream target.

But PSG appear to have nipped ahead of the Red Devils and Bayern Munich by taking the first major step in the race.

Spurs, however, still believe they can persuade the 29-year-old to stay.

In contrast, Napoli centre-back Kim is said to prefer a switch to Old Trafford rather than PSG or Liverpool.

Finally, the Red Devils are preparing for Saturday’s clash at Bournemouth without Marcel Sabitzer.

The loan midfielder has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.
