EastEnders fans are predicting a dark twist on the way for teen Joel Marshall amid his friendship with Tommy Moon on the BBC soap, after spoilers teased a new storyline
There could be some worrying scenes on EastEnders next week given the hints in new spoilers.
Teenager Joel Marshall makes some alarming comments and decisions next week that could allude to a big new storyline. Fans are convinced the BBC soap could be tackling a grooming storyline, and perhaps Joel has some dark views about women.
We know Joel has a debt to a mystery person for a mystery reason. Since his and his dad Ross’ arrival in Walford, it’s been made clear they need a lot of money to pay someone off.
It was suggested Joel did something bad and they needed to pay up for it to go away. Ross, Joel’s dad, is also keen to stay in Walford and not return to Australia.
Knowing this and seeing new spoilers about Joel’s shocking behaviour next week has left many fans wondering if a twist is on the cards. Some fans also believe it will see Tommy Moon dragged into things, after earlier concerns from fans about where his own future on the show was heading.

Spoilers have revealed that Joel makes a derogatory comment about Avani Nandra-Hart next week behind her back, before trying to get her alone so he can make a move on her. Not only that but he also gives Tommy some worrying advice about girls when he’s mocked for his lack of romantic experience.
Viewers are now predicting he may have disturbing views that he will try to pass on to Tommy with his advice. Tommy’s dad Alfie Moon was recently concerned about their new friendship, so has he got a reason to not want them to spend time together?
Viewers took to social media after seeing the spoilers, recalling what has happened with Joel and Tommy on the show previously. Some fans predicted an incel storyline was on the way for Joel, as others guessed he may have been groomed and that Tommy would be targeted in sinister scenes.
One fan said: “Does anyone think there’s a storyline coming up for him to do with his views on women maybe like an incel plot?” Another fan said: “I did say a week or so ago I reckon he did something to a girl back in Australia (whether consented or not idk) and his dad was having to pay his family off to prevent them from going to the police. So maybe I’m not far off.”
A third fan posted: “I wonder if maybe they’ll go down the manosphere/Andrew Tate route. I know they began doing that with the Denzel steroids storyline but I thought it was cut a little short.”
Another fan posted: “An incel plot totally makes sense! I think Joel will try convince Tommy to get involved – this can only end badly.”
A further comment said: “I’m curious to know which way they’ll take Joel… is he a bad influence, a wrong’un, is he a predator and a threat to people? It might even be that Tommy isn’t just under threat of being led astray, but of grooming and actually in danger.”
