The Chase US host Brooke Burns is set to front a new game show after her co-star Mark Labbett was axed from the series in 2022 and shared a sweet message about her milestone
Brooke Burns, the beloved 47-year-old American host known for fronting the US version of ITV’s The Chase, is all set for an exciting gig. She’ll be presenting Tic Tac Dough, a classic game show making its comeback on NBC, 75 years after it originally kicked off in the 1950s and last appearing on our screens in the 1990s.
The Chase UK’s very own Mark Labbett, affectionately dubbed ‘The Beast’, took to social media to celebrate Brooke’s latest venture with a warm and fuzzy post highlighting her career milestones. It included a montage showcasing some stellar moments from her time on The Chase and Master Minds.

A tweet celebrating Brooke’s decade-long legacy in the game show arena read: “For 10 years, she’s created memorable moments and brought her unique energy to every game show she’s ever hosted.
“We’re celebrating @BrookeBurns through the years as we get ready for our newest addition, #TicTacDough premiering April 14th at 7p!”.
Quick to detail, Mark responded by pointing out, “It is actually 12 years since we first recorded @thechaseusa for @gsn” fine-tuning the timeline of Brooke’s illustrious hosting career, reports the Express.
Brooke’s announcement sent waves of excitement across Twitter, with one fan exclaiming, “She is great! ! I cannot wait.” Another was just as enthusiastic: “She’s really a great hostess!”.
Since leaving The Chase back in 2015, Brooke’s absence has been felt, but the show continues as a fan favourite in the States.
Mark, a star of The Chase, revealed in 2022 that he was unexpectedly dropped from the US version of the show. The quiz whizz, who has appeared on both the UK and Australian versions, confessed he was “gutted” not to be invited back to the ABC series.
In other news, Brooke is set to host Tic Tac Dough, a game show originally devised by Robert Noah for NBC. The format involves “two contestants competing to place three of their marks in a row on the giant trivia board.
“Both players must try to avoid the dragon, who lurks to steal their turns and stands in their path to victory.
“After three rounds, the victorious contestant faces off against the dragon in the grand prize round. Here, the dragon moves strategically on the board to block the player’s ability to make three-in-a-row and take home $10,000.”
Brooke hosted The Chase from 2013 to 2015. The series was then revived in 2021 for two years and was hosted by Sara Haines.
