Following Mickey Rourke’s awkward entrance into the Celebrity Big Brother house on Monday night, we take a look back at his rollercoaster love life as he’s been single for seven years

Celebrity Big Brother star Mickey Rourke‘s love life has been marked by two marriages, a relationship with a model, and a period of being single, with his most notable relationships being with Debra Feuer and Carré Otis.

Known as a bit of a ‘womanizer’ during his heyday, ITV viewers branded the Hollywood star’s entrance as ‘uncomfortable’ as he made his first appearance on Monday night as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best welcomed this year’s housemates into the iconic Big Brother house.

Mickey, 72, was the final celebrity to enter, but had a very shocking moment before walking into the house. He appeared to stare at host AJ as she introduced herself to him and grabbed onto her.

Mickey then became extremely distracted by the live audience as he attempted to give them all a high-five as he made his way to the door of the house. He was taking so long, AJ had to push him into the house before he tried to take her in there with him.

After the awkward altercation, fans flocked to X to share their concern for host AJ, as one wrote: “Someone get some security for AJ from Mickey Rourke because what the hell was that????” Another shared: “Mickey’s entrance is the strangest entrance I think there’s ever been on this show. Poor AJ.”

Following his entrance into the Celebrity Big Brother life, here, we take a look at some of Mickey’s past relationships and why he has been single for the past seven years.

Debra Feuer

Mickey is not currently married however he has been married twice previously, with both marriages ended in divorce. His first wife was actress Debra Feuer, with the couple tying the knot in 1981. The former couple first met on the set of the 1981 TV movie Hardcase. They split in 1989 but have reportedly remained friends.

Carré Otis

Mickey’s second marriage was to model Carré Otis in 1992. However, just two years later, Rourke was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse. The charges were later dropped and the couple reconciled before starring together in Exit in Red.

However, their marriage ultimately ended in December 1998. After his second marriage ended, the Hollywood star decided to live the single life for several years.

Anastassija Makarenko

It wasn’t until 2009 that he got into another relationship with Ukrainian-born German model Anastassija Makarenko. The pair dated for six years before calling it quits in 2015.

Rourke has also previously dated celebrities including Terry Farrell and Sasha Volkova. However, the Celebrity Big Brother star stated during an interview with Piers Morgan in 2022, that he has been single for the past 7 years and has been nowhere near a relationship.

Mickey is now in the Celebrity Big Brother house alongside stars including EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer, musician Chesney Hawkes, and former Love Island star Chris Hughes.

This year’s instalment has already seen several changes, one of which is a change in location. The Big Brother house has been moved to a “brand-new secret location”. Big Brother was revived in 2023, with the celeb edition shortly following in 2024.
